I am a mormon from NH. The church's name is the Church of Jesus Christ. I I want to state that Mormons are and always have been Christians. Those that claim otherwise are being judgemental, and thus prove themselves to be non-christian by their very act. If you find yourself as one of those I am addressing that continuously get quated by the news media as making a statement that Mormons are not christian I urge you to stop listening to gossip and instead listen to the words of Jesus Christ as written in the New Testament of the Bible. American's are in a state where we need to show the world that we are a country of tolerance, that we respect people of other religions. Islamic, Mormon, Hindu, Christian, even the mislead athiests, deserve your respect. If you are disrespectful to the point such as Mike Huckabee is than you are not Christian, nor are you a moral and respectable person worthy of leading this nation. I ask you not to believe what I say, I only ask you to pray to our father in heaven, God, Allah, or whatever name your culture refers to him, even if all you do is refer to him as meditation, and ask to know the truth.

Now a note to the press. It is your respon sibility to not publish the words of those that stand against religious freedom, you should be ashamed of promoting such ignoranance and obvious lack of educational attitudes as I have seen displayed in the coverage of the Iowa caucases.

Now a note for the uneard majority. It is time we stand up and let the world hear our roar. Peace is never been nor ever willbe brought through bloodshed, peace never has and never will be brought through intolernace, peace never has and never will be brought by direspecting others beliefs. No matter what your political beliefs are, this 2008 election period is our chance to show the world or purple fingers. We need like never before in the history of our country, new leadership in Congress and the Whote House. We need 100% voting attendance this year, it's not just your right, it's your responsibility.

You bigots. Do you really think that Romney's religious beliefs affect the way he will perform as president? Romney represents one nation under God. Let's move past the kindergarten politics and have a discussion on what the candidates will do on the real issues facing America: Taxes, Immigration, Foreign Relations, Social Security, Balanced Budget, Environment, Economy, Energy, Inner-city Poverty, and more.

Let's move past the kindergarten nonsense and start discussing how these candidates can solve the real problems that America faces, based on past performance and future goals. Immigration, Taxes, Social Security, Foreign Relations, Energy, Environment, Economy, Budget Deficit, and so on.

This is an election for a Republican pastor, nothing more.

  • Posted By: FrankLee @ 12/08/2007 6:24:28 AM

Yeah apparently Ron Paul is not up to your standards to report on, I'm sure it was an honest mistake. Especially when you consider that Ron Paul is popular with many independents and liberals, and those of us who are anti-war, sure it would be an end to the republican party as we now know it, but so what? The Ron Paul revolution is the people's revolution, against establishment phonies like yourself "Newsweek".

  • Posted By: Mickey1124 @ 12/08/2007 6:07:56 AM

Wow look at all those Ron Paul supporters. Christians for RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT. Mike C - Iowa

  • Posted By: fogger00 @ 12/08/2007 5:07:03 AM

No doubt the poll was rigged BEFORE the results. If Newsweek can run this blatant propaganda, they would certainly have attempted to exclude potential Ron Paul supporters from their polling sample. Even then he shows up at 8%.

The owners of Newsweek should be publicly hung. Along with Bush, Cheney, Clinton, Pelosi, all Federal Reserve governors, Paulson, and the executives and board members of all investment banks on Wall Street. I could go on and on. Bilderbergers, CFR members, Trilateral Commission, Rand Corporation, Blackwater, Halliburton, etc. Public hanging for the 500-1000 members of the United States crime ring.

-- Proof the polls are rigged - caught on tape!

If you will notice "OTHER" is Ron Paul and they know this. When you answer "other" they then remove you or your telephone number so they can narrow the field to just the five candidates "they" have chosen to poll. This is outrageous and has to be seen or heard around the world.

The ''surge' is a TOTAL media creation. THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES, NO MONEY, and NO SUPPORT!

What I can't believe is that ANYONE is buying this crap anymore. Can you people not see that WE ARE ALL being manipulated for someone elses benefit?

The major media is nothing more than a PROPAGANDA MACHINE

I'm no young kid. I'm 56 and I thought I knew how all this worked. WRONG!
Our Gov''t is corrupt from the inside out and MUST be changed soon, HOPEFULLY by legal, peaceful means.
    The alternative ain't pretty, folks.

Ron Paul is THE ONLY PRESIDENTAL CANDIDATE, who is untouched by corruption, big business, or special interest lobbyists. For Christ's Sake, he's even TURNED DOWN his LUCRATIVE CONGRESSIONAL PENSION to save THE PEOPLE money!

I'm PROUD to stand with the YOUTH OF AMERICA, who have taken off the blinders, and are unafraid to face and deal with the TRUTH. I'll tell you this. They are FEARLESS, TIRELESS, and MOTIVATED! Calling them 'loonies' 'tin-foil hatters' and other derogatory names, just makes them (and ME) MORE DETERMINED

The major media is playing a dangerous game by trying to bury Ron Paul. He's way BIGGER than any of them, (and some here) will admit.
Aren't you folks CURIOUS as to WHY this great 'Cinderella' story is being slammed or ignored?

WAKE UP AMERICA!.....go ahead, TAKE THE RED PILL.

Ron Paul Beats McCain But MSNBC/Newsweek omits any mention of Ron Paul, who beats McCain in their own numbers.

The new MSNBC/Newsweek poll on Iowa puts Ron Paul at 8% of likely GOP caucus-goers, 2 points above McCain. But both MSNBC and Newsweek, who commissioned the poll, have omitted Ron Paul from the analyses. Newsweek's article on the poll analyzes it with regard to the top candidates, including McCain, but omits any mention of Ron Paul, who beats McCain in their own numbers http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/017532.html

It is my understanding that the book "End of Times," predicts the election of President Hucklebee.

How bout we all just vote "none of the above" and start over.

HuckaBuck.. a fanatic supporter of the war in Iraq (watch here as he paints the war in Iraq as a "struggle for existence."). He authentically believes that Armageddon is coming and that Israel must be defended at all costs. He also is a big proponent of the death penalty with sixteen executions occurring while he was in office, including a triple header.. three in one day! Is he an authentic Christian?.. You Decide

HuckaBuck.. The most corrupt governor Arkansas has had in memory

Accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gifts from supporters

Used state aircraft for personal trips

Stole furniture from the governor's mansion

Ignored admonishments from the State Ethics Commission

Besides Being a Crook, HuckaBuck Was a Constant Embarrassment to The State

He Referred to Conservationists as "Environmental Wackos,"

Called Arkansas a "Banana Republic" on The Imus Show and Lived in a Triple-Wide Mobile Home on the Governor's Mansion Grounds While the Residence Was Being Rennovated

His son once tortured a dog to death, with no reprisals.

Read a Summary of HuckaBuck's Tenure as Arkansas Governor .. It is a matter of public record.. Maybe people in Iowa can't read of don't care just as long as anyone claims to be "A Christian

He Frequently Lashed Out at The Press if They Dare to Question His Integrity or to Demand Accountability

His Thin Skin Will Ensure That He is Unable to Survive As A Viable Candidate.. any where but Iowa that is.. his nomination would be the only way Hillary could win the election or any other democrat for that matter.. personally I hope he goes all the way

The Sooner That HuckaBuck is Exposed.. The Better Off The Country Will Be.. I wonder why the news media hasn't brought these fact to voters attention? Maybe they just want to see Iowa make an ass out of themselves

This Man Couldn't Be Elected Dog Catcher any other place but Iowa.. keep up the good work Bible Thumbers

I have to agree with Watcherz2506. Choose your poison. Any of the choices we have, Republican or Democrat, will kill you in the end. Is there anyway we can go back to "Go" and start again fresh?

  • Posted By: LightningRod @ 12/08/2007 3:12:21 AM

I normally would not get too excited about postings I read, but some of these sure seem to have put a burr under my saddle. I have as much issue with a bible thumper from the Bible Belt as I do with a radical Islamist when it comes to using their religion to jam something down my throat. I don't want their values forced on me. I'm a Christian, I believe in God, but I don't need the "Moral Majority" or anyone else to tell me what is right and wrong and I don't blare my religion all over with a trumpet. Look back at good, old LBJ. He was a Texas Bible Belter, though not a fanatic one. His term in office left us one of the biggest messes this country has had with his expansion of Social Security into a giant welfare system that is and has drained the system of the resources from their original purpose. I'm not saying he did this because of his religion, but it wouldn't surprise me if that had a lot to do with it. I don't want to see this country driven into further debt because someone has to feel good. I want real solutions that keep us solvent, respect individual liberties, keep the country safe and strong, and earn back the respect we used to have in this world. Bringing back a few jobs from overseas wouldn't hurt either. You want a look at where this country is headed? Take a look at France and some other countries in Europe. By the end of this centtury, they will be Muslim majorities because of uncontrolled immigration and failed social programs that can't be supported by an aging population and declining birth rates. Not a pretty picture in my book! We need to be led by thinkers that are free of any inluence and are not afraid to take the bold steps necessary to get this country on track. I've said enough tonight. I hope there are a few others like me out there who aren't afraid to say it like it is. Vote for the person who will do the job and forget all the BS.

He wants to teach creationism in our schools. Do we want to become a theocracy?

    • Posted By: musicnut79 @ 12/08/2007 12:00:15 AM

He has said time and time again that he wanted to have creationism and evolution . Do some research before you make a false remark!

      • Posted By: midnight05 @ 12/08/2007 3:03:28 AM

Creationism is not something that should be taught in schools. I consider any teacher who tries to teach that in a school to be molesting a child as surely as if he had a hand in the kid's underpands.
