I think that everyone in this forum has lost sight of what God wants of us. We are not to judge anyone. We are not to cast an evil opinion of those who have other beliefs than us. I am a Catholic who uses holy water in my household almost daily. I have not bought any holy water though. I have recieved it from my church which allows it's members to take the blessed water. I place it on myself and family to bless us and keep God with us throughout the day. I feel that holy water should not be sold, but again, this is only my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Have a great day1

I do not need to misplace my faith onto a bottle of "holy" water; I am to keep my gaze on Christ...not on a bottle of water. Unfortunately, many religions teach people to place their faith in the things they do rather than in God. "If I go to church regularly (which is a good thing)...if I say a certain prayer "x" number of times...if I spray my car with holy water before going on the trip...if I take the eucharist, weekly...if I..." We are saved by what Christ did; not by what we do. Yes, faith without works is dead, but the Holy Spirit leads you into those acts of faith; not some mandate handed down by a church.

This Idea really disturbs me. It doesnt surprise me it just disturbs me. The disturbing part is that the makers seem to be portraying to be believers. It would be easier to swallow if it where an athiest or agnostic "seizing on this universal symbol of purity". I will continue to pray for them. They really need that. I also pray that the entire idea and campain for the product is a complete flop! Hopefully, that would deter any other idiots from attempting the same thing.

This is as absurdly low as any religion would sink. It is not a new thing for some churches to sell such nonsense to the spiritually and biblically ignorant masses. We have had great Basilicas built out of deceitful merchandise such as the sale of Indulgences in the 14th century. No man can make anything holy, and any that can claim to be making holy water or water holy are a mere fraud. What a makes a place or man or anything holy is the presence of the Holy God in that place or person or thing. There has never been holy water made by man. And anyway what people need is not some mysterious holy water but the Holy Spirit which comes through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ upon genuine repentance. There are no shortcuts to divine blessings except through the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it hard to believe I am guilty becuase im human. I talk to God every day and he is like my best friend. I can tell him anything,...and to think someone like myself would be punished is impossible.

Selling "Holy Water"? Why didn't I think of that first? People who believe they can "buy" a blessing are misleaded. Never has any profit in the Bible sold a blessing or good deed. All blessings come from God. As Jesus said "freely I recieved, so freely I give." But if you people don't mind buying blessings maybe I can make a little cash selling "Holy Dirt" My garden dirt is blessed, come buy it for a dollor per scoop, plus tax.:-)

First of all, I would like to say to "jesusrocks", sin makes you a murderer of Jesus. So all of humanity is guilty of this crime. So it wasn't the Jews or the Romans who killed Jesus, it was the sin of all of mankind. The Bible makes it clear that Jesus died for the sins of the world. By the way, Jesus is alive today. He rose on the third! Next, I just prayed that God will humble and bring these companies to their knees! Another example of trying to complete in the flesh what God has perfected in the Spirit. I don't care how much water you drink, it doesn't make you a better person. All these companies are saying is "The more water you drink, the less God you need." Only the atoning blood of Jesus can make you acceptable before God. Not water. It doesn't matter how many times you are baptized in water, if you don't know Jesus, you won't go to heaven. Simple as that. These people are playing with God and this whole article is summed up in one little piece in the 2nd paragraph: "So it's not surprising that a few SAVVY marketers would SEIZE on this UNIVERSAL SYMBOL OF PURITY for FINANCIAL GAIN". Remember, Judas betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of siver. Then he hung himself once he realized he used God for FINANCIAL GAIN!

Im not the one who wanted Jesus dead. Maybe your Jewish , I dont know. But when I stand in front of Jesus, I will have a huge smile on my face becuase I have only been his friend. I would never tell Jesus or let everyone know that his death was cool or a awesome thing. Just think if he would be alive today,...people like yourself would have him killed. Not I.

      jesusrocks,
We all killed Jesus. The purpose of His being born was to died on the Cross for our sins.
That was the only way for those who believe in Him and turn away from their sins to obtain Eternal Life.
Yes, the death of Jesus was an awesome thing: the ultimate sacrifice.

I am a minister of the Christian faith. I preah the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. I believe in the death and the reserection of Jesus Christ. I am guessing that we are similar in our beliefs. Dont forget one vital one...JESUS IS LOVE. I think that is one that you seem to be leaving you. Good bye and I hope you have a nice day.

Who said that because something is "holy" has curative powers? Why dos a man waving a crucifix in front of a batch of water makes it holy? These are the same men that are raping children inside churches by the thousands and are now being exposed. Give me a break! This is nothing but man's invention to profit from the weak and the ignorant.!

I believe that water is good for you, but blessed water is no better or worse than regular bottled water. It's sad that for financial gain some greedy people would use our Lord and Savior for profit.
Those same people wouldn't give a hoot about Jesus. Too bad that too many naive believers fall for this scheme.

Here is an example of another charlatan profiting by commercializing Jesus. What would Jesus do? Lets see.... He threw out the Parisees out of the temple for commercializing the house of his father, as they in no way were serving God's interests but rather their own. In the same way these bofoons are seeking their own riches, glory and recognition by commercializing Jesus.
