Review: ‘Charlie Wilson’s War’

They left out the fact that our soldiers are now over there getting killed by the weapons we provided because that is KNOWN by most the little fact that isn't known is that someone actually asked for a measly 1, million dollars to possibly fix this unforeseen catastrophe. Oh and by the way we should have helped to rebuild the country because we were the ones that first of all encouraged Russia to invade and then further decided to spend 1, billion dollars in weaponry to increase the firepower coming out and thus coming into that country. AND why rebuild exactly why you say in the beginning of your comment fordlvrs1104 because the weapons that could have been routed out with a rebuild operation would not be killing our soldiers now!

Charlie Wilson's War is one of the best movies I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of movies. I also have a daughter adopted from Russia, and that wouldn't have been possible if Charlie Wilson hadn't launched his little war, which led to the downfall of the Soviet regime. It's a movie everyone should see.

USA, via this movie, gets the award for not telling the whole truth. USA had a lot to do with getting Russia to invade Afghanistan. Zbigniew Brzezinski admitted as much in an interview with Le Nouvel Observatur. Now, USA is in Afghanistan fighting the same enemy it embraced back then.
