Comment: 2008 Presidential Election Weekly Poll

Comment: The subtitle for this column is misleading. It is not Edwards and Clinton who are and will be slugging it out for the next few weeks, it is Obama and Clinton. Edwards is actually presenting a positive message of change -- expressing the need so many Americans feel to take our country back and restore our democracy to a place where "we the people" rule and government is no longer "of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations."

Comment: I have to say it may hurt Edwards that he has continued his quest for the White House even as his wife fights a losing battle with cancer. The fact that they have two young children at home compounds the problem. It makes him come across as some overly ambitious, callous politician, even with his wife trying to reassure people that everything's just fine and she's delighted to be campaigning again.

I know this seems trivial, but it's impressions that win elections.
