The condition in picture 7 is likely the result of Bell's Palsy which is caused by inflammation of the seventh cranial and/or facial nerve. This condition results in complete loss of muscle control on one side of the face the most noticable of which is the drooping eyelid. This condition if treated early and aggressively enough with corticosteroids most commonly prednisone is highly reversible but often some deformity will persist.

surely people as "intelligent" as those appearing in these "discussions" can recognize a hoax!
As to God/Jesus, you right and I am worng, I have lost nothing. On the other hand...........

This in picture 6 is probably the result of Bell's Palsy which is caused by inflammation of the seventh cranial and or facial nerve and the resulting deformity and drooping of the eyelid. This condition is easily treated with corticosteroids today if caught early enough but often unfortunately this eyelid drooping occurs to some degree and results in a permanent condition.

That's not possible for a horn to grow from a human head and if it was why did it take 70+ years to do so????

    • Posted By: boathook1 @ 01/03/2008 11:43:43 AM

Cutaneous horn (cornu cutaneum), is a projectile, conical, dense, hyperkeratotic nodule that resembles the horn of an animal [1]. The horn is composed of compacted keratin. A number of skin lesions can be found at the base of this keratin mound. Cutaneous horns most frequently occur in sites that are exposed to actinic radiation or burns, and hence, are typically found on upper parts of the face. Other locations include scalp, nose, eyelid, ear, lip, chest, neck and shoulder. Forearm, cartilaginous portion of the ear, leg and back of hands may also be involved [2]. Over 60% of the lesions are benign, however, malignant or premalignant lesions might be associated with it [3]. Keratosis, sebaceous molluscum, verruca, trichilemma, Bowen's disease, epidermoid carcinoma, malignant melanoma, and basal cell carcinoma have all been described in association with cutaneous horns [4]. For appropriate histopathological diagnosis, this lesion should undergo biopsy at the base of the horn for smaller lesions excision should be considered. A sex predilection has not been shown; however the possibility of harboring malignancy at the base of the lesion is increased in men when compared with age-matched women. This article describes our experience with cutaneous horns

Actually this is a REAL photo of a REAL condition... It's called something like keraticapitus... The spelling is all wrong but sort of close... Try googling "human with horns"... You'll be amazed

I've seen photos of these horns before on other people... Some even larger... I've asked doctors about them... All said I was dreaming ! ! Well here's proof... joe Wood, Plymouth, MA

If this isn't proof AGAINST "intelligent design" and a "creator god", I don't know what else is...
    CREATIONISTS PLEASE THINK!
There is no 'god" at work, here!
    PLEASE STUDY EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY!!

As for the 10" horn... Well I've seen photos of these horns before ... I was very curious... I'd asked MANY doctors about it...They all thought I was a little nutty... All claimed this condition never existed to their knowledge... Well here's proof... Joe Wood, Plymouth, MA

"There is not proof that the vaccinations actually decreased the numer of cases of polio. The numbers actually decreased with a change in diet not only in the US, but also worldwide in countries that did not immunize with the vaccine. comments like this make the comments/captions under the pictures lose thier credibility."

Why are there no pictures of congenital idiots? jxv1970 can you post your pic? Polio is a viral infection that was effectively controlled worldwide by vaccination against the disease. It still exists where vaccination of the population is not complete. Statements like those from jxv1970 that should scare everyone - anti-vaccination propaganda is foolish, ill-informed and completely socially irresponsible.

Improved nutrition certainly has helped reduce deficiency related diseases (rickets, kwashiorkor, and beriberi for example), and overall health of the world population - but control of virally transmitted diseases is almost 100% from vaccination. Makes sure your children are vaccinated to protect them and others and provide support to WHO and other organizations that are working toward total eradication of disease worldwide.

Polio is a virus. While your immune system may be bolstered by good food and nutrition, it's not a cure. Since we have very few cases of polio in the US today, there is at least anecdotal evidence that the vaccine did indeed bring down the number of cases. In addition, the vast places where you can find that proof you claim doesn't exist include www.cdc.gov. Don't be a fool jxv. And if you're going to, go to a conspiracy theory website for it.

I don't know if you know it or not, but the photos aren't loading

To jxv1970: I disagree with you. There is clear and statistically significant proof that polio vaccinations have been effective. See the Global Polio Eradication Initiative at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16899145?dopt=Abstract. Diet may or may not have an effect on an individual's susceptibility to contract polio. Please cite your references.

it would be nice to get a copy of this website to share later on with my kids who are now 6 months and 2 yrs old. When I was in school it would have been nice to have this kind of reference about not double posting. Especially internet maladies like this one where each post is differently narrated. How does that happen?
