I take exception to this article, I have truly found a product that does help Prevent Hangovers from Starting in the first place. I was a doubting Thomas regarding products that make these claims. The product is called Drinkin'Mate. I can promise you if you take this product as directed you will be shocked at how well you feel the next day. I swear by the product now and give it to all my friends that like to have a few cocktails. Everyone that has tried it, now uses it. I didn't think it was possible but check it out for yourself

The best hangover remedy is V-8 juice.

Dr. Slaker...I have searched far and wide for you. I have Crohns Disease and was a patient of yours for about 3 years in Blairsville first, then Woodstock. You left Woodstock Georgia to focus on the liver at Emory. Since then, my husband was diagnosed with Hep C and my son was diagnosed with Crohns Disease. I really needed you and tried many times to find you. I still live in the mountains of North Carolina. You obviously left Atlanta suddenly and no one wanted to say why. Glad to hear you are still helping folks. Take care. M Lingerfelt

i'd actually heard that you should not take asprin for a hangover because it could react with the alcohol in your system - same reason why on the bottles it says not to take if you consumer 3 or more drinks a day?

i'd actually read before that you should not take asprin for a hangover since the alcohol in your system could interact with the asprin and do more damage?

The only proven cure for a hangover is to not get to that point. ; )

here's a good hangover 'cure' . 1 large red bull (sugar free) or other energy drink (make sure it has tourine and arginine) mixed with one serving of emergen-C or Air-borne ( its the vit. C thats important) and 1 asprin w'/8 0z of water. take this the second you wake up and you'll feel better in no time. then eat a good breakfast.
FYI miw the drink and vit C supp. in a oversized glass cause it will fizz up and spill out the can if you don't.

I know a great cure! nuun (an electrolyte tablet) commonly used by runners, cyclists and triathletes, has become a great product to use the night before or the morning after. just drop one tablet into 16 ounces of water and cheers mate you have a bit of effervescent, light tasting, sugar free and and carb free hangover remedy goodness!
the secret you ask... well when you drink too much alcohol, you become dehydrated and nuun will help you gain that hydration back in a rather short amount of time.. check em out at www.nuun.com! cheers mates!

never heard of the cure what is it?

  • Posted By: snap08 @ 12/13/2007 9:09:48 AM

I use The Cure - it's a healthy, all-natural hangover remedy. You can find it at many liquor stores, but also online at Amazon.com. It's really the only thing I've used that actually works. You just mix the powder with water and drink it before you go to bed. VERY easy.

Just looked at site - 20oz after drinking - NO

I started using The Cure a couple of months ago and haven't had a hangover since. Nothing is perfect, but I feel 90% when I should probably feel 30% and sick. You don't have to use that much water...I use more like 8-10 and it's fine.

Maybe it's getting better since bars have gone smoke-free, but I'm convinced much of the hangover misery I felt in my university days came from breathing in second-hand smoke while drinking. Yet it doesn't even get mentioned. I'm no doctor, but doesn't it make sense that anything that robs the body of life-giving oxygen can't can be good for you?

I wish that I could keep this in mind every week, every weekend, every other night...yikes

I have a guarnateed remedy: when you get home at night from a rough night of drinking, eat two-pieces of bread (or something like that, maybe pizza or such), drink two-glasses of water, and take a tylenol, and make sure you brush your teeth and wash your hands and face (to get all the smell of alchohol and cigarettes off you-this just adds to nausea in the morning). set you alarm for 7am, no matter how difficult it is to wake up, take a pee (your water from the night before will help flush out the alcohol), drink two more glasses of water, take two-extra strenght tylenols (this will also help you sleep), take one-hit of some marijuana (help you fall back asleep and cure the nausea), and go back asleep for anther four hours. when you wake up at 7 you will feel like death, but when you wake up around 11:30 or noon you will feel much better, hydrated, and head-ache and nuasea-free. i promise this works!!!
