BARAK OBAMA needs to welcome the "EXPERIENCE" question. He needs to explain why he would consistently make the correct decisions as President. One question that people are anxious to know about is how will he handle those who try to undermine his Presidency. He needs to sight examples where his judgements were just as sound as Hillary's. He should not get defensive about the experience question because it is a legitimate concern. He needs endorsements of people he's work with in the past. People need to hear testimonies. If he is unable to bring all factions together how will he deal with it as President. He should mention that he learned from the Clinton's and studied them closely. He's learned from their successes and their mistakes and he has incorporated their experiences with his own. That the Clinton's experiences have only added to his life-long experiences. The true test is when things go wrong. Will Obama be able to keep things together. Hillary has proven that when things go wrong she can handle it.

Do you know that 80% of the world's capital is owned by 12 families. They already run the world through organizations like the Paris Club; who inturn fund the IMF and World Bank. Look at the power oil companies have on the world. You are confusing conspiracy with reality. But thank you for your commentary EUB. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taft_family-If you go to this website or url, you will notice the development of the Taft family one of the most poweful families in America. Along with a few other families, they were able to establish a number of fraternities which contorl both parties political machinery.

Remember, that George Bush is a Russel Trust member. Research the
Astor Bundy, Collins, DuPont , Freeman, Kennedy Li Onassis Reynolds Rockefeller Rothschild
    Russell Van Duyn families.
Bush's fraternity now dominates his administration. You will find no matter who is in power, these fraternities are represented by a family member in any administration

The Mormon president Ezra Taft Benson (considered a prophet by Mormons) was a fan of the John Birch Society.
The Taft is Heusen???s name is because Ezra Taft Benson is a descendent of Alphonso Taft, who along with one of the Russell family started the Order of the Skull and Bones (legally it has been known as Russell Trust). Remember,. Research the
Astor Bundy, Collins, DuPont , Freeman, Kennedy Li Onassis Reynolds Rockefeller Rothschild
    Russell Van Duyn families.
"There are many reasons Mormons will not come forth even though they know of the corruption in the Mormon church. One is due to their belief in Mormon scripture which they associate with the Mormon church. The leadership has usurped power and authority over this scripture. Thus, the members of the Mormon church think that God expects them to support their misguided leaders. This is much the - rationalization that many Americans make about our government. They all know of the corruption, but rationalize that it is unpatriotic to talk against the government or ungrateful to complain when they enjoy superficial prosperity."

The comment "defanging political discourse leaves a lot of people on stage gumming each other" might be the best thing to come out of this campaign yet.

milkesmith-I could not have said it better myself. Could you imagine having 4 years of ROMNEY OR GUILLIANI. THESE NUTS ARE SO DIVISIVE that they would create chaos in this country. Look at Romney. It is sad. The way that man flip-flops leads me dizzy.

Since when are presidential debates supposed to be a form of entertainment?

The Republicans have turned their primary campaigns into 'The Jesus Wars.' They have officially jumped the shark in their desperate pandering to the GOP's former evangelical base. They assume what worked for Bush will work for them. Fortunately, most of those voting on religious grounds realize they have all been snookered by the GOP who did absolutely nothing with regard to the issues important to them. Now I belived voters are more inclined to vote for intelligence and trust, not a bunch of bible thumping flip floppers.

*yawn. Same old Bush policies. Only McCain and Guiliani cares about Global Warming.

Can someone explain why, according to the author, a debate "geared toward avoiding the gotcha moments that candidates just don't like" is a "noble goal"?

  • Posted By: mor5156 @ 12/13/2007 12:49:02 PM

    Actually MCut...
I do know quite a bit about the Mormon religion. I studied for about 2 years before realizing i had better things to do. i also live in kansas city, which has the second highest population of mormons. i will say again that i promise if you study your book of mormon you will see those things mentioned in the book. You deny the God making babies and the religion being racist, but I also noticed you didn't deny believing Jesus and Satan are brothers or you can be a god yourself if you are a good mormon. I know much about the Mormon religion and you bringing personal slams not only tells me you have no real argument, but also your own ignorance of the whole matter. If you want to comment with facts and not using the "yo mama" approach, i would consider you a lot more credible and respectable.

Most religons chnge doctirnes over time, curse of dark skin has been one that many Christians had embraced for year and many have abandon in principle in order to expand membership. What is the Morman view on this subject and how has it affected the higherarchy.

        kirt,

Please visit lds.org and you will probably find a correct answer to your question. If not, please call some LDS Missionaries and they will discuss it with you, with no further obligation. Just make sure you get the information from an official LDS Church representative and not someone who will give you third party information. It's a great question. . .

Too many so called debates. If we really went to a true debate format I would watch and listen. These things are just an opportunity for the candidates to hit soft ball questions from a moderator selected for the purpose. A true debate such as tonight the topic is the War in Iraq and how we disengage...... Sen McCain you first and then let the candidates and their postions drive the evening. The moderator should only make sure everyone gets an equal chance to speak.

Very well written dsmb2007 - I absolutely agree with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if Mormon's believe Jesus and Satan are brothers, how will that influence Romney's decisions on immigration, Iraq and the economy? Come on people, it has nothing to do with it!! Every religion is full of oddities and ideas that make no sense in a strickly logical sense, but most of the world believes in such things, they are just a little off in the details. The fact is he is a religious person, everybody should be aware of that by now. Asking him to provide details of his religion is absolute nonsense. The interviewer should have turned the question around to Huckabee and asked "I don't know what Mormon's believe, but what are your thoughts on Satan?" What do you think he would have said? I bet he would have been pretty uncomforatble detailing out his religious beliefs on Satan during an interview as a candidate for President of the United States. It has no place at all. If you want doctrine, I know they have plenty of missionaries all over the place to give you doctrine. All I want to hear from the candidates is how they plan on making the US a better place.

I'm not a republican nor a Morman but I do take offince with this I'm a better Christian than you stuff. Hey don't people know that there are many different views in Christiannity. Not all Christian believe the Jesus is God. Didn't the founding fathers go out of their way as to not have a State sponsered Church because of the problems this caused in Europe. In a time of nuses, immagration, war, economy and ecology how really cares. The flat part of the GOP is every one has the basic scripted views to sell to a limited audiance. The hey, we are winning in Iraq, there is no global warming, the economy is greatand lets give the rich more tax breaks is just not selling. I'm a economic conservative and these guys has spend like a bunch of driunken sailors. Morality? who is minding the store in Iraq, guns are missing, money unaccountable and troops are dieing?

    Mor5156,

Where did you learn your doctrine that you're citing? Please cite the scriptural references from the Book of Mormon. Apparently living in Kansas City and living around members of the LDS Church makes you quite the expert - I believe that takes learning through osmosis to a new level. Regarding the issue of whether Jesus Christ and Satan are brothers - what's your take on that?

  • Posted By: keefeval @ 12/13/2007 11:58:42 AM

Did no one else hear the rediculious, childish talkover and obstinate attitude demonstrated by many of the candidates last night? Am I the only one who couldn't believe how absurd they all sounded? I could just see Fred Thompson sticking out his lower lip and stomping his foot when asked to raise his hand. What's the problem Fred? Don't believe in global warming? Feel so strongly against it a hand raIse just wouldn't do? Or did you just have to do something new, because your plan to let Law and Order carry you to the White House is falling short of your expectations? Write a blog, tell me all about how you feel on the issues. Or better yet, go back to what you're great at, being a fake D.A. on prime time tv, we miss you.

    Mor5156,

You are a complete and total idiot who's words are nothing short of slander. The LDS Church does NOT teach that God is on a planet somewhere making spiritual babies, nor is the LDS Church racists in it's views, as you have stated. It's extremely apparent you have little to no knowledge about the doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Let me guess - you were once turned down for a date by a member of the LDS Church, or perhaps a family member of yours was even baptized into this religion, infuriating your family. . .very predictable. Keep chipping your teeth.

why did huckabee have to apologize about the mormon comment? even the person interviewing said it was a innocent question. If you do study the book of Mormon, his question is very valid because Mormons do indeed believe Jesus and Satan are brothers. Course the book of Mormon also teaches that God is on a planet somewhere making spiritual babies all day, and if we are good enough Christians, we too can become gods. Oh, and to date the book of Mormon, if the spirit baby is a good baby, it will come to earth as a white person, but if it's a bad baby it will come to earth as a dark person. Study it and i promise you will find these to be correct.
