Anyways my sister looks great and wanted to pass on the information about tummy tucks. She had one and said that her insurance company helped her out with it. She found a doctor at tuckafold.com and went with it about 3 years after the birth of my niece. Anyways she wanted to pass on that the doctor can work with your insurance company, you just have to find the right doctor. As far as my wifes procedures, she found a fantastic doctor at -- finestimplants.com she paid for the implants herself and we are both very happy with the results. It has been a completely positive experience (she did not go for the DD size) The only other procedure she gets is for her lips when they wrinkle up, but she doesn't do that very often. Anyways good luck with your decisions.

changing your breasts wont change your self esteem. you should be comfortable in your OWN body before you either decide its not good enough, or that you simply want to change it for yourself... my opinion is that the latter is the only uderstandable (not to mention disgutingly moronic) reason to get plastic surgery. if you realy are doing it for your self, MORE POWER TO YA SISTER! if not... then i hope your genetic material to NOT be passed on to the future generation

My breasts have always been huge. I got tired of them hitting my knees when I walk to the refridgerator so I took out a small steak knife, sliced a 3" incision in the top right corner of both of my breasts. I then proceeded to insert the tube of my husbands wet/dry vac very slowly and turned it on. I then took a wire hanger and stuck it in with the dry vac and twisted and turned it to help dislodge some of the fat to be sucked out. I did this to both of my breasts for about 30 minutes a breast. When they reached the size I liked I simply used my husbands utility knife to manually cut away the excess skin and used his blow torch to corterize the cuts. Although this was very painful and I passed out 1-15 times doing it my breasts now are smaller. They look like cottage cheese and melted cheese but they no longer hit my knees!!! Ohh, my husband loves them too, which is why he saves them for future use!!!

I'm distracted by the title of the article, and what it implies... Baby boomers are now in their sixties, correct? Was the 'Baby Boom' not during the fifties?

women who get plastic surgery as an act of self empowerment drive the feminists craaaazzzzyyy! We're not talking about a simple procedure here. We're talking about putting a foreign substance in a woman's body. And many, many women have gotten really sick. Why else do you think DOW corporation went bankrupt rather than go to court to face all those sick women? And have silicone implants improved since then? No!What's changed is a government and FDA totally in the pockets of those with the deepest pockets. The FDA's OWN scientists recomended AGAINST silicone. I'm glad the women here who got them have not gotten sick, but there are plenty of women who have.

Agreed. If silicone implants have been perfected (as you noted they have not been), whey would manufacturers be trying to make completely new innovations? Australia is piloting titanium covered implants. Is that because the currently marketed products are beyond reproach? They know there is something wrong that needs fixing, but they're doing it quietly while continuing to use what they've got.

I don't think there is a miracle pill, but my sister uses an herbal supplement and she says she has gained some size (not a huge amount) She found her natural breast enhancment supplements at chicaconglamour.com so you may want to look there. I believe she said the formula had don quai in it which is used in china I think. She also works out and says that really helps too! Good Luck

I kind of resent the conclusion that there is such a thing as a "normal" breasts. It's ideas like this that perpetuate some women feeling something is wrong with them. This is certainly a personal choice, and I do not propose to deny anyone that freedom. I'm just saying that I resent the fact that since I'm very small-breasted (i've never had children, just born this way!), I'm considered not "normal". If you want to do something for yourself, by all means, go ahead. But please don't project your self-image onto me or anyone else. That's why it's called a "self" image! It's about you and no one else.

No doubt. To me, what I look like IS normal. SMALL IS NORMAL.

I agree with these women I am 38 years old and have 4 children. I underwent baratric surgery 5 years ago and I look like on of the boys. It is so embarassing when my 14 year old daughter has breast larger than mine. Is there a miracle pill out there

I'm 47 and have been small chested my whole adult life. I work out and stay in shape. I don't know about the rest of the country, but living in California, there's a lot of pressure on women to have the perfect body... especially big breasts. There are so many images in the media of women highlighting their big breasts. I find it really superficial and annoying. Although it would be nice to have perfect breasts, I wouldn't risk my health over it.

Comment: I am 47 and my wife is 38. After the kids we decided to go ahead and get implants for her. We are very happy with the decision. We found the best service online at http://www.finestimplants.com Her new body really turns me on. But it's not just about turning me on. Her self esteem is greatly improved, and she seems to be very happy with her decision.

I'm planning to age with grace and not go for any 'enhancements' to my body.A color rinse for my hair is my only concession to my changing body. I think that women who go for these procedures have lost (perhaps never had) confidence in their own sexuality. I believe they are going to look a bit ridiculous in 25 years or so when the rest of their bodies follows nature's course but the 'falseness' of breast is going to be laughable.

I have men who accept how I look but admire my talents and personality more. The fake look most women are falling prey to because they believe it binds their husbands and boyfriends to them. I prefer to have honest friends than be dependant on implants.

I was just over 50 and my husband didn't want to be married anymore...I decided to go for breast augmentation for all the reasons above. I am not sorry, I had no pain (my doc used the pain pump for 48 hrs), I never even needed ibuprofin. I love it...all my clothes fit again. I say go for it.

Ok, so the word 'normal' does kind of stink. Let's put it this way: When I see someone with the same frame as me and very small breasts, I don't see anything wrong at all. If they're happy, that's all that matters. Most runway models have this frame.
When I use 'normal', it merely meant I got implants that didn't look out of proportion to my body type.

Whoops! I wasn't referring to anyone's comments. I was referring to the Newsweek article. Forgive me if you thought I was pointing a finger at you! And I totally agree - it's about each person being happy with themselves.

All these comments about how wonderful breast implants are is blowing me away. If you could meet the women who come to http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/SalineSupport/, you would see the "other" side of implants. So many women have lost their health and are desperately struggling to get weil! Some of the health issues the offspring of implanted women are dealing with would make the most calloused man cry. The FDA knows about the problem, but refuses to do anything. We have the best government money can buy!.

Enter Your CommentTHANK YOU! NO KIDDING! THAT'S WHY I TRIED THE HERBAL SUPPLEMENT I DID, EVEN IF IT COST ME $35 /MO TO START, IT'S ALL-NATURAL W/NO SIDE EFFECTS, 5 YRS LATER AT 47, I'M TOLD I LOOK GREAT AND I EVEN LIKE HOW THEY FEEL! REAL IS THE BEST! I DON'T CARE IF I HAVE TO USE THEM THE REST OF MY LIFE, NO PHYSICAL MUTILATION IS WORTH THE LIMITED TIME OF "VIEWING PLEASURE" IT WILL GIVE MEN FOR THE NEXT 20 YRS!!!

I prefer to age gracefully at 52 years of age...my only concession is a color rinse to my hair (and that's not permenent either). I consider women who think they need breast 'augmentation' insecure in their sexuality...instead of celebrating their bodies, they think they need to be 'enhanced' with a falseness that surely in 15 or 25 years is going to look damn ridiculuous compared to the rest of their body.

I???m 36 w/ 2 kids. I have relatively small breasts and it hasn???t been an issue in my life or for my husband. However, I???m seriously considering it in the next few years. I???m beginning to feel like my boobs no longer belong to my children. That???s a nice feeling. I???ve always been a bit of a tom-boy, don???t wear much make-up, and don???t concern myself too much w/ sexy clothes. I don???t have a problem w/ the aesthetics that come along w/aging. However, I would like to feel better about my body image without changing who I am and how I???ve always presented myself. I???d like to mix things up by adding a different spark to the relationship after 15 years. After all, once we???ve raised our children to be independent it would be nice to know that my husband and I have been able to keep the spark alive, and aren???t left wondering what the heck to do. I???m all for a strong mental and physical relationship; it???s a package deal.

On a related note, now that my youngest child is 4, I???m starting to feel like I have time to listen to music while working out. Mom???s: don???t underestimate the power of music to jump start that lost libido. After getting over the initial shock of how sexually explicate the lyrics are these days, I have to say that Janet Jackson can bring us all back to life. THANK YOU MISS JACKSON!! 20 Y.O
