THE LAST WORD

Anna Quindlen

First Tuesday of Huh?

Every four years Americans select a president. Given our crazy system, it's a miracle that we manage to seal the deal.

Comment: Finally, someone of significant national importance states the obvious: Dayloght Savings Time makes no sense.

Comment: Once again, Anna Quindlen's column hits the nail on the head. Why on earth don't we all vote in presidential primaries on the same day? By the time we vote in Indiana (May 8), it will be a done deal. Talk about feeling like our votes don't matter! It gets harder and harder to feel like individuals matter at all.

Comment: It is ironic this is brought up in one of my favorite columns! I will no longer vote because of some of the things Anna brings up here. Because I don't, two other people won't either. I dragged them out before, but no longer. We will only be watchin here in "doesn't matter" Idaho. Good Luck America.
