Tasers are a great tool for everyone to have. It allows the owner to have a sence of personal safety and security without the without the possible damages that a gun can cause. I bought mine thru a website:

Corporations may never cease to amaze us with the efforts they make to try to bolster their image and promote their products.

this is stupid. i absolutely hate tasers, and i do believe they are inhumane.i understand some people are dangerous, but isnt there some other way we can control crime?

We have tied guns and people do not like that-Why can't you just embrace a tool that is one step closer to a solution which is ,by far, more humane than shoot first and ask questions later.

We have tried guns and people feel that this is wrong-Why can"t you embrace a tool that is moving us toward a solution which is ,by far ,more humane than just shooting first and asking questions later.

Ah the Taser... Let's see, inhumane vs dead. That's a no brainer or it should be. The politically correct community seems to forget that humans are, at their core, animals (mammalian primate... yep animal.) This nation, in the first set of amendments to it's constitution, specified an individually proscribed Right to bear arms. And implicit is a requirement to use them responsibly. At that time, all arms (weapons) were lethal in design, we should take comfort that we now have non-lethal options. For some people, trauma (psychological, emotional, or physical) is the only effective manner of communication that they have crossed the acceptable boundaries of social behavior. For these individuals (we call them hardened criminals, religious fanatics, terrorists, etc.) application of a tool such as the taser is the first step toward force evolving them into a socially responsible (read rehabilitated) human being. I would prefer to see a member of my family tasered for an act of blatant disregard or stupidity than shot and possibly killed. "Enlightened" or "reasoning" behavior is a mythic state that while a worthy goal of attainment, the general populace of humanity does not meet the full criteria to claim. Therefore the rules of that existence do Not apply it the real world. Criminal behavior is mitigated by the people being prepared for it's possibility, we as simple Americans must take responsibility for the quality of our lives personally. Reliance of any governing body to keep the peace has proved historically elusive worldwide without surrendering the very rights this nation was founded on. If a person cannot be responsible for their own behavior, then they must accept the culpability for their actions as well as the punitive responses from the community. Give me a taser instead of guaranteed death!

As a former correctional officer and a member of the riot squad--I myself have been tased (right of passage) and yes I am a women. I would rather see someone who feels threatened use a taser instead of carrying a gun which if the person is no comfortable with it, has it taken and used against them. Society is changing and evil lurks everywhere--why not protect yourslef

Well what the hell are we gonna do? Can't taser people, because its inhumane. Can't shoot them because its inhumane. Can't hit them with a billy club because it's inhumane and everyone starts yelling "rodney king." Do you have any clue how many people the taser has saved, victims and suspect lives? If we had it your way we would give them all milk and cookies, and send them to bed telling to think about what they have done. Have you ever stared a dangerous person in the face? Have you ever seen somone who has no emotion in their eyes? Have you ever seen someone who could kill you and not think twice. Those people are inhumane, not the taser, the taser will only save their life.

I think the Taser is a great for your protection, although for those with concerns that it looks like a toy or a flashlight, thats where your parenting skills come in and teach your kids what it is and not to play with it . Then again it shouldn't be in kids reach. The C2 like any highly protective device should haver equired training.I would buy one for my daughter and myself and in any cool colors it offers!!!

  • Posted By: 1goodkid @ 12/20/2007 2:20:19 PM

I think it is a great way to protect yourself. Training , I think should be imparitive, and not just given to anyone. Those people that think their kids would think the C2 is a flashlight, do what parents are suppose to do and talk to your kids about the C2 and that its not a toy.

sorry about the double posting, not sure how that happened

  • Posted By: boondock523 @ 12/20/2007 1:13:17 PM

Are you kidding me? Your worried about kids thinking its a flashlight? I your dumb enough to let your kids get hold of a taser, you shouldn't have kids. Tasers, though less lethal (notice I said "less lethal") than a firearm, a Taser should be treated as one, locked up and out of reach. There plenty of quick access safes out there you could place by your bed. If the expense of a safe is too much, then don't get the taser

I hope the people who are worried that citizens are going to misuse this devise realize that every time a taser cartridge is fired a whole bunch of small confetti called AFID (anti-felon identification) is fired along with it. The confetti's bar code can be scanned by police and it tells them the owner of the cartridge. So, if it is misused the criminal is easily identified. This is the only weapon in the world that has this kind of accountability. I wouldn't worry too much about the misuse of tasers.

      Your Dumb! please stop talking!!

  • Posted By: kps46635 @ 12/17/2007 2:03:40 PM

I am totally against Tazers being in anybodies hands. I am conservative and do not favor gun control.
The use of these by law enforcement is a violations of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and
statements against cruel and unusual punishment.

    • Posted By: McCallen @ 12/20/2007 12:25:48 PM

if your going to be against something thats fine but learn how to spell what you are against!! its spelled TASER!!! oh and incase you didnt know you idiot.....its at the top of the page!!

  • Posted By: Lana11 @ 12/17/2007 4:11:31 PM

I find this appauling. Why would you try and make light of such a horrendous object that has been used so poorly by the police? Police not only have murdered innocent people for no reason but also use it to feel big and powerful. Police have also not followed the regulations that have been layed out by the law so why do you think the general public would? And whose stupid idea was to make it purple? That is the most uneducated marketing approach I have ever heard. "I will control my own destiny" You wont hear a mom say that tagline when her kid takes the taser and severly hurts of kills someone.

I still believe in small hand guns for the ladies, although, those that are "gun shy", this is an excellent choice.
I will be purchasing for my daughter and myself!

Kudos on your article. Would love to get involved with your product. Thanks and have a great holiday!!!

  • Posted By: taylorrav @ 12/20/2007 10:51:46 AM

it looks too much like a flash light. And for those who have kids can get a hold of it
and try to use it thinking its a flash light.
