The Mormon president Ezra Taft Benson (considered a prophet by Mormons) was a fan of the John Birch Society.
The Taft is Heusen???s name is because Ezra Taft Benson is a descendent of Alphonso Taft, who along with one of the Russell family started the Order of the Skull and Bones (legally it has been known as Russell Trust). Remember, that George Bush is a Russel Trust member. Research the

"There are many reasons Mormons will not come forth even though they know of the corruption in the Mormon church. One is due to their belief in Mormon scripture which they associate with the Mormon church. The leadership has usurped power and authority over this scripture. Thus, the members of the Mormon church think that God expects them to support their misguided leaders. This is much the - rationalization that many Americans make about our government. They all know of the corruption, but rationalize that it is unpatriotic to talk against the government or ungrateful to complain when they enjoy superficial prosperity."Bush's fraternity now dominates his administration. You will find no matter who is in power, these fraternities are represented by a family member in any administration

oh yeah . . . he also solidified his support by making sure that he visited every County in the State and promised - and kept it - to return for Town Hall meetings.

I have to say that this is a tough election because every Democratic candidate looks good enough to vote for in the general election.

John, look at how Feingold won Wisconsin. As the other, more "popular" candidates flung mud at each other, he was the only choice left. He turned out to be the ONLY choice.

There???s something about this comeback kid that just screams VP. While few doubted that he would come back to the races this year, more have bet their money on him joining the eventual nominee as the running mate.

With the wintry weather kicking into high gear in the Midwest, the candidates are finding it increasingly difficult to meet and greet the crowds. Those who didn't do their foot-work earlier in the campaign are having to increasingly rely on the media to convey their message. Clearly Hillary is the least liked of all the candidates, nevertheless, Bill has managed to get the people to look at him while voting for her. He has managed to convince the masses that by voting for Hill, they are getting him back to the white house. Who can forget?

One question I would like these anchors and so called experts to ask the candidates is: If JFK Jr. was alive today, what would their campaigns look like? Would they even have a campaign given that the odds would be very much in his favor? Fortuitous as it is, or perhaps it's just a convenient coincidence, did either of the candidates have anything to do with his Assassination? Would they have vote for him today if he was alive or would they challenge him?

I agree with TrueHawk that Edwards is the best candidate in the top tier of the Dems, with Biden being the actually best-experienced candidate. I also support Huckabee. I am like the sister of the guy killed in Iraq who was interviewed today on TV--I see good things on both sides, but only among these particular candidates. It is a wonderful story that Huck came from behind, and I hope he can fend off the demolition derby.

Apparently Newsweek comes to bury John Edwards, not to praise him, but somehow -- despite the snide asides and childish put-downs that your supposedly neutral reporters peppered this article with -- the passion and dedication of the man to a cause greater than himself comes shining through.

His life experience has been standing up to the powerful and seeing that justice is done. He's been tempered and strengthened by life's hard knocks, and he understands in his gut what a struggle the average American family is having to make ends meet. John Edwards is working his heart out to gain the Democratic nomination because as he said today at a campaign stop in Dubuque: "If you are willing on a cold January night to stand up with me, I'm going to give you back your Democratic Party, I'm going to give you back the White House and I'm going to give you back your country."

Edwards has good organiation and could pull off Iowa. He'd be the best candidate to face Huckabee in the south. Being a Huck fan I hope he loses Iowa.

Three words ELECTABLE, ELECTABLE, ELECTABLE. Go Edwards you are our only hope.

All during this campaign Newsweek has written negative pieces about Edwards. For the last several months they've even tried to talk down support for Edwards by saying his campaign was on it's last legs. Unfortunately for Newsweek the polls never agreed with their rhetoric and they looked foolish. So today Newsweek is trying yet again to drive down Edwards support by writing another negative piece about him. They start this piece by asking the question - Conceit or Conviction and then weave a narrative that tries to paint Edwards as conceited -- a pretty boy who has always been arrogant and phony. They allow Kerry loyalists free rein to blame Edwards for Kerry's failures as a candidate and then complain that pretend they are surprised that Edwards won't talk with them about the 2004 campaign. They incorrectly state Edwards is third in Iowa (he is in a three-way tie for 1st in Iowa) and that his "ailing campaign" is running out of time (they said that months ago).

Maybe the timing of this negative piece coincides with Edwards excellent Des Moines Register debate last week. In that debate both the CNN and Fox undecided focus groups voted overwhelmingly that Edwards won the debate. Several of the voters said they would now vote for Edwards because unlike Newsweek they were impressed with his authenticity and with his vision for America. And unlike Newsweek they recognized Edwards conviction.
