The son is almost 30 he was 17 at the time. wanna find out if he is a sick nutjob pay 50.00 bucks pull his criminal record and see if his life has been one of a crazy criminal rollercoaster or one of an kid who made a mistake. If he was serial crime commiter im sure our great news reporters would post some more up to date distracting disposible news. And speaking of animal cruelty, how many people hunt animals and dont eat them, stick them on their walls, take pictures, or shoot an animal in ungamely ways while hunting using guns not fit for the hunt leaving animals mamed hurt and left to die in their environment? Or how many people just dont stop at hunting one type of animal, they want to kill a bear, moose, deer, boar, quail, turkey, geese, fox, fish, sharks, and many other animals. would that be a serial hunter killer or someone obsessed with a personl record of how may animals one can legally kill. killing an animal is killing an animal, over population is no excuse that is unless its going in your belly to feed your family. Now I know that the situation of hunting is legal, hanging a dog is not. yes its morally wrong, but who is out there every year same time same place. Is it huckabees son hanging a new dog every year, or is there the hundreds or couple thousand unprofessional hunters out for a cold beer, a good time,a kill ,and a story to tell the boys back at work around the water cooler? By the way, didnt it take chaney a good 3 days to report that he almost killed a man with a gun? that to me is really trying to hide something vs trying to help your child through a stupid desicion.

Don't you understand that David Huckabee could be telling the truth. Mike Huckabee was just trying to assure that his son got equal treatment. Nothing wrong with that. It sounds like the lawyer that was fired was a disgruntled employee. It's amazing that you all won't give Mike Huckabee the benefit of the doubt, but will give a disgruntled employee more trust. Not all politicians lie. If you gave Huckabee a chance maybe you will learn to believe him on his proven character.

They feel pain, and they hurt just like humans do which is something you obviously know nothing about

I do not think a son's behavior is necessarily a reflection of bad parenting. Preachers' kids are especially notorious for "misbehaving." That said, Mr. Huckabee is probably more dangerous for this country than either George W. Bush or Jimmy Carter. After all, the politics or the pulpit are the last refuges of scoundrels, and this man has his feet planted in both. I may suggest for the American public to go see Elmer Gantry again and again and again.

Hard to believe this guy wants to be President. HA! He make President Bush look like a choirboy. He pardoned twice as many convicts as all three governors combined. He accepted tons of gifts(?). Just think what this guy would do as President. Corporations would own him in his first year. Christian? I don't think so.

Huckabee needs to join the Mike Vic club and go to prison. What a sucko and to think his father wants to be President? I don't think so. I saw on TV where he pardoned twice as many prisoners than all three governors combined. Is this the kind of guy we want as President? Seems he needs to walk the walk of a Christian and not just talk the talk.

Tomorrow morning and every morning the killing of thousands of innocent animals commences in our pounds, highways, laboratories and plants across America. This kid killed one animal years ago in camp. Do you propose to hire lawyers and press charges against this kid? Why? What exactly is your concern?

The problem is that many serial killers started out killing small animals for fun when they were kids. Watchng a small animal slowly hang to death is disturbing and much different than say shooting a deer for food.

We should all pay close attention to this. It is a warning bell. If Huckabee would go to such lengths as governor to keep his son from being prosecuted for animal cruelty, I think that says all we need to know about his lack of character, honesty and morals. The senior Huckabee is guilty of at least obstruction of justice. I am certainly not saying this is little, because it is a very serious matter, but often it is the little things that show a person's true values and this shows Huckabee's dark side. This nut would be awful as president.
