who said im normalizing It. Lawyers and judges normalize it not me. I didnt write societies rules, unfortunately it is the way the system works and we all live in it. I know its wrong i dont think its right, but its how things work. kinda like a president who lies to get us in a war talking about some wmd's, its not right but its how things work. kinda like this. what! saddam gets the key to the city of detroit. where is robocop when you need him, who let him in the us. Our president knew he was to overthrow his country and he killed 500 of his own people in a coup. oh yeah by the way mr. hussien here is our key to detroit, motor city of america, welcome! Check the link if you want a healthy dose of the way it is, i would never give such a honor to such an evil man.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/03/26/iraq/main546287.shtml who got the key to the city, hmmmmm why? well he did have weapons of mass at one point, thats probably when we helped him fight iran, while we where getting caught up in the iran conta scandel. as for 2003 dont know but after being there as long as we have going into 2008, funny we havent found any. my 12 buddies stationed in iraq all say the same thing the war is about money and profitts for contractors not about wmd's.

HE IS DISGUSTING! He Looks like a pedophile and a mass murderer. These are the types of people who kill animals. Huckabee would probably pardon his disgusting son if he was found guilty. America loves their animals and we will not stand for someone who spawned the devil!!!

    17 isn't a "kid." I was in the army when I was 17. And, killing isn't a "mistake."

It always goes back to the parents. If you want to know what kind of president a candidate will be, look at his kids. If he's a bad parent, keep looking. Huck has some major character issues.

    Look into Ron Paul.
    Great husband +
    Great father +
    Great doctor +
    Great congressman =
    Great president.

now the politics of personal discussion begun now that Huchabee''s poll is rising . i won't doubt it's coming from the left. why don't the left reexamine the kennedy- starting with Ted who left a a woman to die in the water and who do you think interfere? the whole clan,.and there is so much scandal and abuse of power in this clan that it would be hard to name all of them.

This is standard crap cover up. This so called boy will make the news again one day and this time it will not be so pretty. It takes a demented idiot to hank an animal when you can much simpler just hit it in the head with a large rock or have an adult take care of it properly. Furthermore, it speaks loudly for the requirements for Eagle Scout. It's no wonder to me that the Boys Scout clubs are going under with this kind of abuse being smoothed over.

Sorry, I don't understand about being in trouble with the law and noone in my family has ever been in touble with the law. We tend to pride ourselves on not breaking it. We learned this from a very early age, by not getting in trouble in school, in our neighborhoods or whereever. We learned pride, responsibility and integrity. We also were taught that you were only as good as your word. I don't tend to associate with criminals

I can't believe that you would normalize his son's behavior this way - torturing and murdering animals is pretty nasty stuff.

Covering up for his son's behavior is an abuse of power. It's wrong. Just wrong.

I hear Huckleberry's working on a new book; the working title is 'Kids Who Kill Pets'.

forget politics any smart parent would not want to have there children with a crimial record reguarless of who or what their social position is. paying for a lawyer to get the charges dropped or to get a lesser charge or keeping something from the public is just plain smart for any average joe.who wants to have a job when hes older. A friend of mine had a misdemenor and couldnt make it to the national guard cause of it., and because he made a mistake long ago, he cant help defend our country.WOW! Something like that would follow you for life, on your record. Anyone thats been in trouble with the law or knows the law would or should know its sticks reguardless of age. That doesnt mean its right but hey kids do stupid crap. And i am sure that he wanted his son to learn and to better himself and get a good job one day. Any parent whos kids have been in trouble should know what i am refering to. its not always right its just what smart parents do no matter what rung of the social ladder you belong to. Hell i dont want to vote for huckabee, he seems like a good guy but he isnt the one i would vote for......but look at JFK. his family bootlegged liquor during the great depression, while others where eating potatoes and starving. it was illegal, it was illegal.like coke or pot or acid or any other drugs or narcotics of today. people still voted for him reguardless of his families choice to knowingly break the law making and selling an illegal substance to gain power and wealth, and he was considered one of the best post ww2 presidents. and for those who like to debate i am not comparing the 2 people only the situation that when others make mistakes ,it doesnt define the person who didnt. lets not forget people that the days before the internet , which wasnt so long ago, you never would have read about this story. cause it would have takin too long to dig it up let alone wouldnt be news worthy. news of today is paris hilton and dancing with the stars and oj behind bars, and what obama ate for breakfast, and britneys day by day fits for attention. All these crap articles are disposable and really a distraction from the real news and problems of the world.

Mange is completely treatable and not a life-threatening disorder.

A normal, sane human being brings the dog to a vet or animal control.

That Huckabee made this lame excuse shows that HIS mind is sick and deviant.

Isikoff, get off this muckrakin' crap on to something real; Mike Huckabee is not running for dogcatcher.

Add another to the list for Huckabee. Huckabee would be a disaster for the GOP. I mean Huckabee is a guy who gave out over 1000 commutations and pardons???that is more than double the three previous Arkansas Governor???s gave out combined. He rose over $500 million in taxes. He also supported college tuition breaks for illegal immigrants. All of this while Governor of Arkansas. Trust me, though he ???sounds good??? with his witty one-liners and smooth talk to stir the emotions???Huckabee is not the guy for the GOP. Way too much political baggage.

Implicit in my comment , is the fact that my children know better than to behave like this. If they behaved this way I would see it as a failure on my part as a parent. I am by the way a conservative Republican with three children ages 18 months to seventeen years old. It was my seventeen year old son, who is by the way more conservative than I am, who pointed out how disgusting Huckabee and his son are. Sorry if you have problems with your kids.

ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT MIKE HUCKABEE IS THAT ANY MAN WHO IS A MINISTER...OR WHATEVER HE IS FOR HIS CHURCH...AND PREACHES ABOUT BEING CHRIST LIKE, AND LOVING ONE ANOTHER..AND THAT WE ARE ALL GODS CHILDREN....AND THEN GOES AND ATTACKS MITT ROMNEYS FAITH IN FRONT OF THE WORLD........THAT IS THE KIND OF MAN WHO RAISES A SICKO SON !!!!!! WHAT A HYPOCRIT !!!!!

Let's see... Kmmm claims to have three kids. Implicit in Kmmm's post is that his or her kids were angels. I'm so happy for you. For the rest of us mere mortals, kids will be kids. Some kids are better behaved than others. This was a thoughtless act done by a minor at a summer camp. And Kmmm's solution... If her off-spring's behavior is hideous enough, he or she would drop her kids off at the police station. What ever happened to parents disciplining their child. You don't know the whole story because this is an election year piece used for mud slinging games. If you really would take your own children and drop them off at a police station, I question if you really are a good parent. You sound like some childless liberal DINK that is trying to pass yourself off as a parent so that you can slam a political candidate. I for one, can see the situation. Understand the parent's disgust. And yet have sympathy for Mike Huckabee because at the end of the day, regardless of everything else. That's his son.

Yes, at the end of the day it his his son, HOWEVER: This son needed serious psychiatric help and not that Daddy swiped the whole thing under the table (though to be fair: maybe Daddy got him psychiatric help - we are not privy to that) BUT: Abuse of power is abuse of power - I can't stand the current White House's abuse of power and secrecy and I sure hope that Mr. Huckabee's actions then disqualify him for the highest power in this country - and in a way the most powerful country on this planet. Frightening!!!! Seems to me that a lot of hypocrisy is going around - and most notable amongst people who stand on a pulpit and pray and condemn other people
