I am saddened by the killing of another person, who in her own right is a hero for the fight for all people to be free. I am also saddened by what I read and here from many different groups, religions, and individuals that we really don't understand one another. If you look at each of us we as human beings are all built alike. Yes, there are differences in language, skin color, and in beliefs. The majority of people in the world believe in God no matter what name you use to call him. Isn't that enough to unify us as a world. Isn't it time we said no to those things that separate us and yes to those things that bring us together. I think that is what Mrs. Bhutto was trying to accomplish. No matter where you live on this world there are corrupt people that wish to push there narrow views upon the rest of us. We must no allow this to happen for it is in all of our interests to say "no" to them. They do not represent us and they must not succeed at separating our ability to come together for the betterment of mankind. I believe the people of Pakistan wil remain strong against those who look to promote their limited views of what they world should be. If we all stand together to support them they will prevail for the betterment of their own people and society.

It is really a great great loss of Pakistan !
she was a symbol of unity of Pakistan, a well known politician, former president , wirter and a lecturer and above all She was a mother
whoever involved in this cruel act are stone hearted people and they can never be a muslim atleast
Pakistan is the country of loving and kind heated people and there should be no place for such cruel savages, who are involve in her assasination ,in Pkistan
This is our request to Pakistani government to find those extremist and when they do deal them as sternly as they can so that next time no such embarracing incident can took place in Pakistan

Muslims are a violent, vile, hateful people. The reason they are that way is because their holy book compels them to kill and pillage. They are a cancer, the only answer for Muslims is that they be eradicated. I say Good, let them slaughter each other- the world will be a better place without them.

    • Posted By: thevoice @ 12/28/2007 8:32:45 AM

People who think like you are a cancer. You are no different than they are.

      • Posted By: student228 @ 12/28/2007 12:45:04 PM

No better than they are? You're no better than HE is. When me and my family saw the assasination of this woman, we were furious. Likewise, when the tradgedy with the twin towers took place, we were furious. Whenever we see Osama Bin Laden show his ugly face and threaten people in the name of Allah, we are furious. I am incidentally a muslim, but that does not mean that i stand behind all the crimes that these physcos committ. If i see a christian man kill another, i will not immidiately jump to the conclusion that every christian man is bad. And please don't tell me that muslims kill more people than anyone one else, because i've done my research. Look at all the people who die of gun violence in Toronto every year. So when you call muslims cancer, why don't you google the name Michael Joseph McArdle first, and then gain some empathy. Because, by the way, muslims are human beings, too.

No better than they are? Muslims aren't bad people! Whoever said that muslims think it's okay to murder others are LIARS! When me and my parents saw the assasination of this woman, we were furious! When we saw the tradgedy with the twin towers, we were furious! When we see Osama Bin Laden killing others and threating to kill others in the name of Allah, we are furious. I think i forgot to mention that i am Muslim

Somilia, USS COLE, First trade center bombing, embassy in Tanzania ect... duffle. The extremist movement against America begam after the first invasion of Iraq. American troop presence the root cause. I am not saying Hillary is not capable, I just think that Barak Obama has the right instincts and skills to tame that region. He is part of a movement that is very determined to succeed. Hillary Clinton will be an asset to the OBAMA presidency. Hillary Clinton is not a figure that will be welcomed in the traditional Muslim world as president, as a member of OBAMA's presidency YES. WHY?because it is a different culture. This is the first time a woman actually has a chance to become president. That is cutting edge even for our culture, imagine how it is perceived in the Muslim world, they are not ready yet. OBAMA just represents unity, it is what this country needs now.
    THE THIRD WAVE IS COMING

Are you serious? You really believe Obama has a chance? Not likely. In a country that is at odds with everything different, I dont see him or Hillary actually winning. Don't believe everything the media says.

religious muslim extremist and other black sheeps in islam have trashed islams name instead of upholding it. wat u said they are.."violent, vile and hateful ppl" is the stupidest thing i ave evr heard..along with them being a type of cancer are u so ignorant? r u so heartless? evry religion has its crimes..islam just happens 2 b the most scruntinized and the media focuses on the black sheeps of evrything..and who noes other religions such as chistiannity my b causing xheaps of violence that the media chosses not 2 advertise.. I admit there is alot of violence in the middle east but that is no reason 2 justify wat u claim that al mulims are evil...ave u evr met a muslim??and good true muslims..the day u do i hope u re-evalute ur thinking becuz i noe for a fact there are muslims out there who just want peace and they themselve wish this violence stops as do i..i wish these terrorist stop al these bombings which cause the killing of innocent ppl.....and talking about abackward society...thsi goes to GDubs ave u evr actually been 2 the middle east ave u ever EXPERIENCED this so called backward society? evn if u ave u cnt say that america is a complete saint or anyother country..i noe for a fact that a LOT of violence is carried out on a daily basis in the states as i ave friends and relatives who live there...violence is still violence whether or not it is said under the name of any religion or not..ppl stil carry out acts of violence without association 2wards religion in this case islam.....and mentioned 'consequences in the states'??wat r u ON about...all ur thinking about is cosequences 2 USA..as far as i noe the USA isnt a complte saint either..corruption evrywhere...otherwise if r u refering 2 the sept 11...if yes then i belive that shuld ave nerv happened and the ppl who did it punished BUT the USA isnt vry innocent either...if ur comparing the middle east with USA u also ave 2 take into acct that education is much more accessible 2wards americans than ppl living in the middle east.therefore as u can let lack of education cn ave quite a dramatic effect on a nation..so u arent in a position 2 judge muslims or any1 unless u ave EVER ben in his or here shoes..becuz that gap is as big as from pluto 2 earth.!! i hope this has penetrated that concieted brain of urs kk123.

As a matter of fact, I have. I was in Afghanistan for 2 tours, and 8 months in Iraq with the USMC 0311 1/1 Horno. I can easily, and respectfully say that they are a "backwards society". It is the 21st century, and treating their women the way that they do, living in homes without running water, not bathing properly, and government ran by religious leaders...how can you not say that this is not a "backwards society. Yes, in the US we have excecutions, but in public? Not to mention, the reasons they kill people. When was the last time you saw an American behead someone on tape screaming "God is Great!"? Every country has their problems, but how can you deny the "fact" that the middle east has been in a religious war for centuries? I applaud the fact that you are a person who defends free speech obviously, but simple facts seem to escape you. If you can name one more religion that has extremists, I would be happy to hear it and take it into concideration, For example, the Christian extremists, www.godhatesfags.com from Kansas, they protest funerals of soldiers; however, we live in a country to where that was banned because of government that has its citizens in mind. Try doing that in Iraq or Iran.

I was shocked when I heard the news of the assasissination of Mrs. Bhutto, although I have to admit that I fearerd for her live. It does not matter if the order to this assassination came from Al Qaida or other extremist groups or from people arround Musharaf, this actions should be banned. THE THIRD WAVE IS COMING. We are in big trouble extremist and children of moderates all around the world are being seduced by the chapter of JIHAD. If you look at the Madrassa's they are brainwashing futre genereations in that region with the chapter of JIHAD. IT is like subliminal indoctrination. This is very dangerous. THEY ARE TEACHING THE CHILDREN TO FIGHT JIHAD FOR one hundred years. Obama is the only candidate that can change antiamericanism in that region. It just feels right voting for OBAMA. THE THIRD WAVE IS COMING

    • Posted By: thevoice @ 12/28/2007 8:31:25 AM

You sound like the same kind of extremist.

  • Posted By: eddiewhere @ 12/28/2007 6:25:21 AM

No one person can bring change, it takes a movement. Bhutto's death could have started this movement. Or it could of ended a movement. Only time will tell. This was prophesized that a woman leader would be assassinated and that it would impact the whole globe. Everyone thought it was a possible referal to an American president. Who thought it would have been Bhutto. THe extremist movement still has uncontrolled grudges against the Clinton's. Hillary Clinton could fuel the extremist cause. This extremist movement views "things" different. I felt bad when I heard the news partly because Bhutto was a women. To us it is an unspeakable crime but to others who belong to powerful extermist movements it is "nothing". These people do not care. We need Obama as president in order to fuel the peace process. Our best chance at peace and security is OBAMA. We need someone who's chief policy makers believe in the movement for peace and prospeity for all. One who understands that our troops are dying and that this issue is more important than their own personal political careers. After the assassination of JFK and Martin Luther KIng, the civil rights MOVEMENT succeeded under the Jonhnson administration in having civil rights legislation passed into law. It was a MOVEMENT that could not be stopped. Bin Laden is a god to extremist, he is their BHUTTO, extremist have no problems committting atrocities. In fact it is their dream, it is their end goal in life. This is why we cannot let these extremist continue to multiply. Obama is our best chance. He is also intelligent enough to know Russia and it's breakaway republics in Central Asia as well as the technological advancement of CHina and it blatent theft of intellectual property is a threat that needs to be dealt with.

How much is Obama paying you?

  • Posted By: thevoice @ 12/28/2007 8:24:01 AM

So sad, that the death of a great leader, is being turned into a presidental campaign on this site. We mourn the passing of a peoples hero. Few people today outshone the pact like she did. Seems that the terrorist and extremist got all the press coverage until now. Is this what it takes to wake up the world. Hopefully her passing will spur the rest of her country in the right direction. She is now a martyr for her cause. A picture of grace, compassion, and diplomacy. She stood for what was right in this world. We should also remember the others that died with her. Thier lives were no less important. Save us all from people who would turn this period of mourning into some kind of lowlife presidental campaign for such as Obama. To compare someone like that to her is a waste. I doubt he would knowingly put his life at risk as she did. The ultimate test for your beliefs.

To kill a person such as Benazir Bhutto is not only a tragedy and a crime. It is a mistake. The voices for freedom and democracy will cry out all the more strongly for a peaceable world.

Sen. John McCain doesn't know that Islam is the religion of peace and no one is terrosrist in muslims yes we are extremely kind extremely merciful we always start our any type of work by saying"BYE THE NAME OF GOD WHO IS MOST BENEFICIAL MOST MERCIFUL" how can be the muslims violent in all over world muslims are in pain. blood and in sacridice like phalistine, kashmir, bosnia, chaichnia e.t.c if the muslim is terrorist then he is not a true muslim, muslim can't be terrorist, in Quran it is quoted tht" a kill of one human being is like the killing of whole humanity" Muhammad(peace be upon him) just forward the same message as given by Jesus(peacebe upon him) and Moses (peace be upon him).

that is the most conceited and the most narrow minded thing i ave evr heard any1 say. who says that u cn judge all muslims or name all of them a violent race. have u actually read the 'holy book' or are u just judging from wat u ave read and seen through the media. i admit ther has been quite a lot of voilence being done in the middle east and under the name of islam but that does not mean all muslims are "violent, vile, hateful ppl". i suggest u READ The Quran tranalation and then voice ur opinion. islam is by nature a vry clean and peaceful religion no matter wat other ignorant ppl my say. it was nvr said in the holy book2 kil ppl if they dnt bow down islam..in the olden days..in the tym wen there wer prophets..according 2 the Quran..which i mite add i ave read...they used 2 preach the ppl and give them the choice 2 convert if they wished to do so..only wen non-muslims disrespected and reverted 2 violence 2wards them did the muslims retort inorder 2 defend themselves. ththe media alwyz focuses on the 'juicy' details and vry rarely on the good in the world unless anything was 2 b gained from it.. ave u ever noticed that wen for example some1 does a horrible act it is the fastest newz that travel compared 2 a kind act. moreover it is said u r blessed a whole lot more wen u do a kind act wen no1 is looking. so based on these facts id say u ave no right 2 judge muslims considering u ave nevr been in there shoes and u ave nvr witnessed any kindness urself fromthem as u ave either nvr met a muslim or u happened 2 meet somet1 who tarnished the good name of islam..i agree that these terriorst need 2 be stoped becuz they are twisting The Quran's words to there scrwed up causes.

That depends on if you have ever read their "Holy Book" on this discussion either as well Deok. For the simple reason being that one could say "they are simply sadistic", or the vice could say "we are defending our religion", it cannot be rebuttled in anyway shape or form that Islam is by far the most violent of all religions. When was the last time that you saw American Indians claiming that their "Gods" were calling for the killings of any betrayment that was laid upon them? Or perhaps, when was the last time you saw someone from America saying "kill Islam in the name of Christ" and then blowing up their fellow citizens. It simply would not happen that way, unless the perp was from the middle east. Sad but true, I know, but look at the cold hard facts. What is the most backwards society that the world knows today? Is it Africa, as so many Americans would believe, no, it is the middle east of the world. Fighting and killing are simply a thought and reaction over there, here in the USA, it has consequences. Where do you live, and how would your judgement be affected by this atrocity that they call their "beliefs"?

At the inception of Pakistan the departing Viceroy said of its founder that he found it inconceivable that the lives of a nation would lie in the hands of such a psyhcopath. Unfortunately that has been the benchmark for all of Pakistans rulers to date, tin-pot military dictators or civilians.
Mrs Bhutto is being championed as a democrat and a reconcilator of her countrys factions, but bthere is no record of her doing so, whilst being Prime minister on two occasions. She has only jumped on that bandwagon sensing an opportunity with Mussarafs failing popularity, knowing its the kind of rethoric America will back.
A lookback at her time in office provides only notable details of corruption, like appointing her husband into Government office, where he effectively became known as Mr40%, for taking a 40% charge for rubber stamping Government approval, accruing properties in London and Dubai. Ask any Pakistani to cite a notable achievement of her time in office. Where was her love and dedication to Pakistan when unlike Nawaaz Sheriff, she chose exile rather than stay behind and exhonerate herself.

Of the support she enjoys, it is an aspect of that part of the world that certain sections will give blind allegiance based on family history or name, religion, tribe etc. Similarly as in India next door, Indira Gandhi at the height of unpopularity could always bank on certain parts of the country for support. In India it is understandable as Indira Gandhi's family played a major part in securing Indias independance.
Also I note a mention of India with its own history of assasinations, though in India it is due to some religious bigotry and not as a means of getting rid of an political opponent. Blaming it on muslim extremists is a convenient trend.
