No one person can bring change, it takes a movement. Bhutto's death could have started this movement. Or it could of ended a movement. Only time will tell. This was prophesized that a woman leader would be assisinated and that it would impact the whole globe. Everyone thought it was a possible referal to an American president. Who thought it would have been Bhutto. THe extremist movement still hold grudges against the Clinton Administration. Hillary Clinton could fuel the extremist cause. This extremist movement views "things" different. I felt bad when I heard the news partly because Bhutto was a women. To us it is an unspeakable crime but to others who belong to powerful extermist movements it is "nothing". These people do not care. We need Obama as president in order to fuel the peace process. Our best chance at peace and security is OBAMA.

She wanted to make her self a Moter. Why else would she stick her head out of a heavely Armoured Jeep. If she got elected we would have another Iran! She was not strong enough to lead the country and the nuclear weapons would have ended up in terrorist hands.

What is a Moter? Did you mean to say "martyr?"

Bhutto has always be known as the evil and corrupt one and has given the poor false hope time and time again,.Musharraf not much better, was at least trying to pull his country out of the stone age building them roads and electricity and a better economy. Bhutto's dead was expected and Musharraf is now the dead man walking..There will be chaos in that country and I at least see another Iraq on the horizon

the musim world will riot in the streets today. Not because they care one lick about Ms. Bhutto. They do not. It is because the muslim world waits poised on a hair trigger to rush into the streets and bn the American flag. Unfortunately their are many in this country who encourage the foolishness. I will not be long before teh mentally damaged in this country start spinning theories to explain why this murder was the fault of the USA or the Bush administration. Before the crazy theories start floatng around the web maybe we should consider that Ms. Bhutto was just as corru and no more a proponent of democracy (at least not when she had power) than Mushariff and maybe because of that past there were people in her own country who wanted to kill her. Crazy as it may sound to our overactive sense of sel-importance, this murder may not have had anything to do with the ole USA. Just a theory.

Pakistan, like most of the Muslim world is poised on a hair-trigger waiting to go off for he smallest of reason or no reason at all. Because f that the muslim world will flood the streets to burn the US flag and effigies of Bush and other western leaders. If Ms. Bhutto were motivated to bring demoracy to Pakistan then this loss will be a great one for the world. However, her past corrupt use of power in that country suggests that she is no greater democrat than Mushariff. Either way, the intellectually challenged in the US will soon try and pin this murder on George Bush, the USA or both. Just in case it is not our fault maybe we should consider that people in her own county remember her brutal and corrupt use of power and are willing to kill to make sure it does not make a comeback. I would not spend too much time on that though, its easier to just blame the USA.

You make snakes your allies then act incredulous when they bite your hand.
It's time America rids itself of these insufferable alliances that were formed by a ludicrous foreign policy authored by a totally incompetent administration.

You know how you get rid of snakes?
    You cut their heads off.

The one thing that is certain is that there is no politician in this country with as much nerve as Ms. Bhutto.

THANK YOU! YOUR RIGHT BUT LETS ALL HOPE BY THE END OF THE DAY WE CAN WISH FOR THE BEST, HOPE FOR WHAT WE CAN GET AND PRAY IT ENDS THERE!

Someone needs to run spell check or do proof reading on this story. Unless the spelling of "military" has changed recently.....

Musharraf is the only one who can restore some sense and sensibility in political process of Pakistan. We dont have to 'legitamize' any 'democratically elected' head for that state. Pakistan is going through a transition where Democracy will fail at all costs. Its futile on our part to spend those Billions of dollars of aid on trying to so something that will back fire on us. We need to get stricter with Musharraf about getting us the results: which is to bring peace and stability to the region. I am sure he will have to face the restless population, but that can be taken care of, once we take care of the Islamic Fundementalists. Today's incident is just another reminder of how things in Pakistan have drastically changed after the 9/11. The country is more polarized than ever. In these times, we need to act smart and give full support to Mr Musharraf and get the region back to normalcy.

By bringing peace and stability then take care of the people . Do you mean as Hussain did with the Kurds and gas the country who disagrees with your claim to power cause this kind of action the USA will stand back and just say as we did the last time "oh wow it really works" and send our blessings as we did with Hussain??? Then waste TRILLIONS of dollars and THOUSANDS of American lives to unseat Musharraf, because THEY ARE A NUCLEAR NATION OR LIKE US A CORUPTERNATION??

Maybe it's time that America rids itself of these insufferable alliances that were formed by the totally inept foreign policies of a president who is wrong in just about everything he does.

My prayers go out to the family of Benazir Bhutto and the people of Pakistan. Not knowing that much about her, it's evident she died for her beliefs and those of the people she brought hope to. She was a very courageous woman, continuing to deliver her message of democracy and peace in the region all-the-time knowing that death was always within reach. I don't agree that Democracy works for all countries, but would give anyone the same respect who fought for such convictions in such perilous surroundings.

Regardless of whether one supported Bhutto or opposed it, whether the allegations of corruption were true or false. At the end of the day, it is the extremists who are going to have the last laugh. It will be a sad day indeed when a nation of millions would succumb to the few who are hell bent on dying and killing others along the process all in the name of their twisted ideology.

If the world truly cares about that volatile region, it will do a great service by helping in eliminating the reasons for such extremism rather than reacting to the outcome. Billions of dollars in aid is not going to achieve anything other than line the pockets of the corrupt few that are having a hay day - all in the name of eliminating terrorism in that region. Today is a dark day indeed.

I am saddened with grief for such a courageous woman. I hope Pakistan can find their way through this time of darkness.

It is Musharaf and his henchmen who plannaed this assasination.Sadly, all Benazir's pleas to Washington to intervene on behalf of civil society against Musharaf's dictatorship went unattended..We will reap the whirlwind of a fractured country and the West an Iraq in making.

Bhutto was an evil woman. Sharif is no better...the country is in move civil unrest since both of these traitors returned to Pakistan. At least with Musharraf, the country has seen moderinzed roads and utilites as well as better economy. All Bhutto offered was a false hope to the poor. All Sharif offers is a pass for the extermists. Musharraf is the least of the evil that is Pakistan's political system.

Hopefully now all energies will go to show to the majority of Pakistanis the violent and extremist nature of the islamic fundamentalism, as driven by Al Qaida. If on the contrary the death of Benazir Bhutto will be blamed of Musharraf himself, it is going to be a major political disaster not only for Pakistan but for the world

  • Posted By: WhiskeyPapa @ 12/27/2007 3:36:30 PM

The death of Bhutto is a direct result of the disaster that is the Bush/Cheney/Big Oil/Zionist cabal that is destroying the United States
