I feel very sorry for Benazir Bhutto's family. My condolences are with her and her family. I give my regards to Benazir Bhutto's children, who now are left to grief for their mother. I hope this death of Benazir Bhutto and the people who have died in the suicide bombings have waken up extremists from this nightmanre. And they will stop the killings and do something about Pakistan. May Pakistan live and prosper after this horrible day.

she came back in spite of the imminent danger to herself in order to help establish democracy and rally her supports for some type of peace and comprise. Her death is not in vain and her courage should not be easily dismissed.

It's like killing hope. I'm sorry the hope she offered won't come to fruition.

I'm very sorry for the lose, she was the one and only true democrat trying to work with everyone, and not disclude anyone. i think we [the USA with our asst] done a bad thing, that could lead to what someone was looking for in Iraq-a very very large body count. It would not be the first assanation we participated in, that led to sever consequences for our country, even if unintentional. She will be missed, and it's to true, that as a country, she was there biggest hope for change for the better, and more stable. Now the unstable minded run the country, still. While we still back him?? Those who were afraid of what Iran would be capable of in 5-10 years, should now fear what this furture will bring, with our blessing?? Wish for the best, Hope for the what we can get,and pray it ends there!

Eventhough this is not unexpected, I feel greatly sadened by this turn of events. My heart goes out to the millions of Pakistanis who placed their hope in this woman. I do not know who had her killed or whether she was corrupt or not but she did provide hope to millions of people and today that hope is gone. I am sorry for that loss.

It is always a sad sad thing when a martyr is created

but reming me about who is the maryr , here ?

The firdt female leader of an Islamic country, who did all she could do before "they "killed her?

    or

the genus who proclaimed his way to be the only way and then killed hisself?

It is amazing that she has lived as long as she had after her return to Pakistan. Everyone knew, including herself, that it was just a mater of time. You could see it in her eyes and hear it in her voice during her interwiew with Wolfe Blitzer prior to her return. I personally think that Musharrif will eventually get whacked and then the US will be in big doo-doo. What ever happens, you can rest assured the Bush Admin. will botch it up, gauranteed.

The death of any person is to be lamented. The lives of the innocent needs to be mourned. Having said that, it needs to be remembered that Benazir was the most incompetent and insincere politician the country has known in its 50+ years of existence. She and her husband looted the country blind and left it in shambles. Some of her acts during her administration are practically tantamount to those of a traitor. IPakistan will go thorugh in the coming days but in the lolng term the country will be better off.

The first female to govern an Islamic country, who did all she could do before "they" killed her?

    or

I liken her death, to the death of Harry T Moore, a martyr that's said for him to have lived and fought the good fight for as long as he did, it must have been an act of G-d .

Bhutto was a deeply corrupt politician who spent her years in office enriching herself and her husband and sponsoring islamic terrorist groups. During her years in power thousands died in pakistan sponsored islamic terror in India while Pakistan grew more impoverished. If she had come to power again it would have been more of the same. She as a civilian would have exerted even less authority over pakistan's terrorist training intelligence agencies. Her death is not great loss to the world....

The death of Ms. Bhutto was to be expected, as some of us know that Pervez Musharraf is a dead-man-walking. In a country like Pakistan, people settle their scores through violence, and democracy is just a whisper in the wind, soon to turn into a storm.

Kennedy, King, Sadat, Rabin, Bhutto and martyrs for democracy everywhere.... how many more before humanity realizes the injustice, greed, fear, power concentrated in a select group instead of the people, is not the answer. Pray to all Gods everywhere for a wake-up-call to ourselves, force those responsible to stop these shameful acts.
