Will anyone explain (without reflexively calling me an Islamophobe) WHY was a country like Pakistan, which has strong fundamental Islamist movements (for quite some time perilously close to the apex of power), ALLOWED by the civilized world to build nuclear weapons ? Do political interests and calculations override the very real danger to the LIVES of millions of people in countries perceived as enemies by the jihadists ?!

According to the Jerusalem Post (27.12.2007): "Across Pakistan's tribal belt, music stores and barbershops have closed and attacks against men without beards and unaccompanied women have increased. In one area, Islamists have warned women that their marriages will be annulled unless their husbands grow beards."

Lets call a spade a spade: a SIGNIFICANT part of the Islamic world (though not all of it of course) has been infested by the virus imbecilicus and thus suffers from the spiritual and emotional inflammationn the diagnosis of which is: Imbecilicus Islamitis .

They are entitled to it! But the problem is that these Jihadists want to substitute the sword of the 7 th century with the nuclear bomb of the 21 st century in their bid to kill as many of us "infidels" as they can (as commanded to do in the Koran, Chapter 9, verse 5) AND at the same time be rewarded by entering their Islamic Paradise ("Jannat" in Arabic) where they believe they are promised "high-bosomed virgins " (The Koran, chapter 78, verse 31), described also as "bashful, dark-eyed virgins, as chaste as the sheltered eggs of ostriches" (The Koran, chapter 37, verses 40-48).

In WW II the world Nazism was combatted WITHOUT hearing accusations of being of "Germanophobes!" So let us, similarly, face this revolting evil of Islamic funfamentalists (who in, contrast to Nazis, don't even hide their evil deeds but are PROUD of them !) WITHOUT being blasted as "Muslim-haters" or "racists".

May Almighty God help us all !

There has not been one instant in history where the KORAN HAS brought peace. It is their culture. Christianity has evolved, just like barbarians eventually became civilized, so did Christianity. Even moderate Muslims are swayed by the JIHAD CHApter. The offspring of these moderateds have already carried out attacks in England and have tried in Canada and AMerica. What is amazing is how they are influenced by the Iraq war. They turn on the T.V and become enraged. Their only hope to strike back is JIHAD. Remember Muslims have been indoctrinating there own for centuries. They have finally perfected it. This chapter allows leaders to indoctrinate their people all around the world. The " Ayattolah" has used this doctrine on Salman Rushdie who is an INDIAN. The only way to deal with a nuclear threat, is in private. We should gurantee all countries FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. However if the people choose an extremist government then they must know the consequences. IT IS THESE SAME CONSEQUENCES THAT have DETERed RUSSIA FROM USING THEIR NUCLEAR ARSERNAL AS MUSCLE. WE WILL Annihlate YOU if you threaten with nuclear weapons. That is why the Middle East Government threaten Israel because they know better. The same goes for pakistan, any government that takes power after Free and Fair Elections, will be delivered the same message, In addition, they will assist us in the HUNT FOR BIN LADEN. Keeping Bin LADEN alive seems to be making a lot of people rich. We need to get Bin Laden and get the hell out of pacistan, let nations determine their own future. Nations cannot do that without a strong constitution that is followed like the KORAN.

There is only one problem with Islam and that is the chapter of JIHAD. They use this chapter because to them it is exciting, it protects them, it helps them control the masses. All other chapters are boring, no one wants to follow those chapters. The difference between Christian extremist and Muslim extremist is that they the value of human life. Suicide is one of the worst acts in Christianity. Islam glorifies suicide, and rewards the family of "Martyrs". This JIHAD chapter unifies MUSLIMS, they are united by war, not peace. : WE NEED TO GET BIN LADEN AND GET THE HELL OUT OF pacistan. Let the U.N do their job. Let's use our force through the U.N. or through an ARAB===ISRAELI COUNCIL, which includes all countries in the region like INDIA, WARIKSTAN, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan. China and India have historically and traditionally had much more in common then uncommon, therefore the grounds for cooperation are naturally existent. We need to build alliances with these nations and let them put the pressure on their neighbors when the misbehave. We well then keep those force in check. It is a lot cheaper or "cost effective", to be smart and build alliances rather than unilaterally attacking these destablization issues, like the death of BHUTTO. The death of Bhutto was a direct result of the JIHAD CHApter. A young man subliminally indoctrinated to destroy his life and twenty one others including BHUTTO, was brainwashed by JIHAD to carry out a political assissination. You cannot seperate Mosque from state in the Muslim world. There should be JIHAD waged against those who misuse this doctrine like the Ayatolah and pacistani military leadership. It is obvious that these leaders knew their reign of power was over and that Bhutto was going to let the "AMERICANS" run the country. It should be no surprise that this assissination happened, in fact the victim even e mailed her own murderers. America needs to stop forcing the issue they should of brought BHUTTO back humbly. SHE SHOULD NOT have been parading. This is war, JIHAD means war. WHEN WILL WE UNDERSTAND THAT THESE people have declared war. BHUTTO is death could have been prevented if people really understood what JIHAD means.

Pakistan was created for the wrong reason- as a homeland for a religious group. This resulted in the displacement of millions from their ancestral lands and the death of millions. Frankenstein monsters created from the blood of people do not exist for long. It has survived by being America's, China's or Saudi's *** at various points of time. It is a monstrous creation which now haunts the world.

WHO DID YOU SAY WAS AT FAULT AND DOES ANY BUSH LISTEN???
Operation Cyclone was the code name for the United States Central Intelligence Agency program to arm Islamic mujahideen during the Soviet war in Afghanistan, 1979 to 1989. The Program relied heavily on using the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) as an intermediary for funds distribution. Along with funding from similar programs from Britain's MI6 and SAS, Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of China, the ISI armed and trained over 100,000 insurgents between 1978 and 1992. Somewhere between $3???$20 billion in US funds were funneled into the country to train and equip troops with weapons, including Stinger man-portable air-defense systems.
26 Aug 1988 SA-7On July 3, 1979, U.S. President Carter signed a presidential finding authorizing funding for anticommunist guerrillas in Afghanistan.[1] Following the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and installation of a more pro-Soviet president, Hafizullah Amin, Carter announced "The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan is the greatest threat to peace since the Second World War".[2] American funding started with 20-30 million dollars per year in 1980 and rose to $630 million a year in 1987.[3]

The US government has been criticized for allowing Pakistan to channel a disproportionate amount of its funding to controversial Afghan resistance leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar,[4] who Pakistani officials believed was "their man".[5] Hekmatyar has been criticized for killing other mujahideen and attacking civilian populations, including shelling Kabul with American-supplied weapons, causing 2,000 casualties. Hekmatyar was said to be friendly with Osama bin Laden, founder of al-Qaeda, who was running an operation for assisting "Afghan Arab" volunteers fighting in Afghanistan, called Maktab al-Khadamat (MAK). Alarmed by his behavior Pakistan leader General Zia warned Hekmatyar that "It was Pakistan that made him an Afghan leader and it is Pakistan who can equally destroy him if he continues to misbehave".[6] According to a Newsweek article, in the late 1980s, Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, concerned of the growing strength of the Islamist movement, told President George H. W. Bush, "You are creating a Frankenstein". Author Gilles Kepel reports that American funding of Hekmatyar and his Hezbi Islami party was cut off immediately following the withdrawal of the Soviets.[7]

The U.S. says all of its funds went to native Afghan rebels and denies that any of its funds were used to supply Osama bin Laden or foreign Arab mujahideen. It is estimated that 35,000 foreign Muslims from 43 Islamic countries participated in the war.

PinkPanther, obviously the United States did what its leaders believed was in its best interest when it supported guerillas in Afghanistan against the Soviets. The law of unintended consequences got the better of us. As in any situation, the enemy of our enemy may someday become OUR enemy. This has happened throughout history to many nations, and that's what happened in this case. You would've been the first one blaming Reagan if he allowed the Soviets to invade Afghanistan unnopposed. Our victory in that conflict bankrupted the Soviets, economically and politically. Hindsight is always 20/20, my friend. It is your bitter partisanship that leads you to heap blame on Reagan. Nothing else.

US should set an example and others will follow. Russian Scientists are more easily available. India has poverty, corruption and independence movements, Not to talk about Korea. We have, we used to have nearly 12000+ in our stockpile and are down to 2300. We used to keep hundreds of ICBM's on 24/7 alert. Now less than 12. We still have SSBN Ohio class stuff in deep water and Bombers. The Navy has decks full of nuclear capable Aircraft. Our force posture is at once robust and still with drastic reductions, 15 times the next nation in line. Further reductions would be not in our interest. On the contrary we need to rebuild the land component and expand it by at least 500,000 active and 3-4 million Guard and Reserve. We need that for chores, not further force projection, but what we already have on the plate. (BTW I have been in and out of the Defense game since 1978.) As far as nuclear force, we have enough to cover those that can hit us. Pakistan has maybe 120 nukes that are all teensy and primitive and without the 9 safeties that some of ours have. They can not only fall into the wrong hands, they are easier to use. Now if the dictator can not secure one woman in a Military City, tell me he has all 120 or so devices under positive security. Tell me how much trust I have when 200,000+ NATO/US personnel are within striking distance and Russia, China, India and Iran well within striking distance of the Pak stockpile. Pakistan has taken a lot of money from me to get after the Taliban and Al Qaeda and Osama is still sending me tapes. We have issues and you got up on the Nuclear table and that changes how we fight you. I am looking for some immediate changes in Pakistans behavior, the heads I want, and positive control of the stockpile. I want every other nation in the region to have their feeling vetted about you. You have everyone's attention.

Unlike Graham Allison, Pakistani Army is not worried about loosing its credibility with Pakistani people. Power of Pakistani Army does not come from popularity contest or credibility gap. It comes from barrel of the gun that has overthrown corrupt democratic governments as Graham Allison must know. Instability after Bhutto???s death is a mere illusion created by western news media and governments as if they somehow have to control whatever happens in Pakistan. Democratic government is no more a solution now than it has ever been in the past, the past that is littered with gyrations between democratic and military rules. Democratic governments are even more prone to pressures from Islamic fundamentalists than military ones as Pakistan has proved over and over again. It was democratic governments of Pakistan that created and nurtured Taliban movement and installed Taliban government in Afghanistan. It was democratic government of Pakistan that facilitated Osama bin Laden???s relocation from Sudan to Afghanistan. One of the first acts of Benazir Bhutto after coming to power in late 1988 was to approve sharing of Pakistan???s nuclear technology with Libya. Nawaz Sharif met Osama bin Laden atleast three times in Saudi Arabia. Nawaz Sharif pleaded with Osama to contribute to his election campaign and Osama contributed 500 million Pakistani Rupees to Sharif???s election campaign in 1990s. Osama congratulated Sharif publicly for exploding first Islamic nuclear bomb during Osama???s visit to Pakistan after Pakistan???s nuclear tests in 1998. Democratic governments used to provide Pakistani Army protection to Osama bin Laden whenever Osama visited Pakistan.

Islamic insurgency is nothing new to Pakistan. Infact as reportedly all over the media, Taliban was the creation of Pakistan Govenment. As long as Pakistan created terrorists created problems for non western world, Pakistan was a poster child in USA's books, with billions of aid and armaments flowing into that couintry. Since 9-11, USA has woken up to Pakistan's contribution of terrorism. It still is following the same old bankrupt policy of appeasing the military of Pakistan instead of people of Pakistan. I wish USA would have invested all the money it gave to Pakistan in its development rather than giving them F16's and other sophisticated armaments.
Bhutto's assasination shows how easy it is to kill anybody in Pakistan, even with the so called security. Musharraf's recent claim that the Nukes are safe as long as he is alive, makes mockery of USA's claims that the nukes in Pakistan are safe. What if Musharraf is killed in a similar way as Bhutto.

Doesn't anyone quite get it? It is all pretty much out of control and is spiraling further and further in the direction of total chaos. We don't have the equipment, the manpower, or the leadership to get us out of this mess. We are mortgaged to the hilt as a nation and our credibility is just about completely shot. I suggest we all prepare ourselves as best we can and get ready for one heck of a ride.

  • Posted By: megalodon @ 12/29/2007 8:56:43 AM

"bombed back to the stone age", "and billoion dollars a year"?
    1. we gave Musharraf, a option, he obviously has been doing the best he can to skirt, join the fight, or be fought. he has obviously, put his tail between his legs on the issue, either way you look. In return sucked a total of how much money total from our government? This act of terrorisim, it the assisnation of bhutto, should not go un punished in any way. altho the US is not like in Pakistan, the UN, should take charge, if not the US and finish this mess up once and foreall!
It is clear something should be done, or actions been done much sooner, altho perhaps this?
We bail out of that country(Pakistan), and let it rip.....let the terrorists take it over, show everyone what is instore for Iraq, if we pull out, leaving it to the terrorists. then the democrats, and the liberals, and whoelse can sit and say, how tragic the situation is there. we coulda done more for the people there, but turned our heads, and closed our wallets because we needed to make a stink, than protect the weak from the exstreme cowards of the middle east, that, feed on torture, of the weak, and the innocent. man, i sure wish the liberalists lived there for a while....set them up in a nice little hut, in a small village where these crimes go unpunished. let them take account 1st hand what these places are like, and see "if" they do make it a year, without being punished to death for being a slight bit diffrent in belief, or custom, as THEY see it, if they change tone.
    2. too bad we cant do just that! i dont agree with every choice Pres. bush has made, but he does what he can, with what he has for information, and action. He is a man of hard choices to make, and givin the details, i do give him credit. personally, i'da told all the liberal "junkies" to hop a ship if they think its so good there, and live there. how many people do you think would go, even b4 we invaded the east? ill tell you....a big fat ZERO! liberals are no lifes, that need to make a stink about anything they can, anti government in OUR country, ignoring everyone but themselves....and liberals.....step off the soapbox u stand on in front of your tv, and listen, read and learn, this world is in trouble....serious major trouble. there are terroists, that want you, me and everyone that doesnt think like them, dead. there is global warming, kids killing people, and so much more! do something that does some good. go live in Pakistan, Iraq, someplace like that and show these people how stong you are. just kidding....u'd all be shot within a week, or beaten, and torchured within a inch of your life before being be-headed....

Let's not forget that our President after September 11 attack and the following war in Afghanistan, decided to go after Saddam Hussein. BIG MISTAKE. He should have stayed in Afghanistan and fight the Taliban and AL Qaeda until the end.

One prominent soul remarked a while back that going into Iraq and ignoring this place after 9/11 may have been the greatest strategic failure in our history. A full refocus on every issue with the same attitude we used after 9/11, every facet of national power. A full coalition with the concerns of every nation in the region. An end outcome in mind. Then build out the forces and diplomancy to do it.
