It's about time someone started the corrective actions needed to fix this issue. I can't wait for the tipping point when most states right the wrongs of these illegal activities. I feel for legal business owners who cater to the illegals like Ms. Arredondo, but I bet similary changes took place when Mayor Giuliani started cleaning up commercial sex in New York.

It is about time someone did something, although it would be nice to have a way for these illegals that are already here have a non-threatening way to get legal. Any givernment representative who thinks a solution or law that does not deal with the illegals already here has got their head in the sand.

This law is a good start and if adopted by all states will certainly make it at the very least uncomfortable for illegals to take jobs away from legal residents and citizens. Businesses who have relied on this loophole for too long, should quit complaining and just get on board and should really be fighting for a way to get these people legal instead of opposing a law allowing them to stay illegal. Maybe with the business community fighting for that, we would have a national policy in place already.

It's about time. I hope all the other states follow suit. This whole issue has been dealt with backwards for way too long. It's not about snobbery. It's about obeying U.S. laws. As a law abiding citizen, I expect no less of people from other countries. Be here legally and learn the language.

It should be interesting to watch developments if more states decide to enforce EXISTING LAW. Now there's a concept worth checking into.
