Our verdict: Letterman—can't live without 'em; Leno—can't live with 'em; Conan—funny either way.

    I don't watch much television. I prefer radio. The poor people in Africa and other third world countries can't afford television. Those stranded on a deserted island like Gilligan and friends don't have access to television. Those lost and stranded in the middle of nowhere don't have t.v. No matter where you might be or your particular situation, you can always access radio. Whether your lost in the south pole or searching for treasure in some remote part of the world, you can always find a radio somewhere in your bag of stuff. You don't need good looks or prolific writers to do radio. You can read from a script or have a regular conversation. No one will know because you're on the radio. No one can see you. Too many movie and t.v. personalities have developed huge egos thinking that everyone is watching them on t.v. They have become gods just like in the Greek culture of the past. Remember the words of the Lord in 1John last chapter last verse, "Keep yourselves from idols.

      no....no one could figure that out. When you leave words out of sentences they do not make sense and it is not the readers responsibility to make sense of them. Go yourself. I forgot to put the word screw (but I really mean F-U-C-K) in front of the word yourself. But I think from the tone of my post you could get the picture. You horse's behind. It looks like you yourself need someone else to write for you. You are an idiot.

    Leno has never been funny. He has to try way too hard to elicit a laugh from the audience, and it just doesn't work. He tries to do it with his dumb facial expressions, and while his face is somewhat funny to look at, that isn't how a late night host is supposed to get the laughs.

    Letterman has always been much funnier than Leno, and he doesn't have to try so hard to get the laughs. I was disappointed in his choice for his first guest after the two-month hiatus. Robin Williams is not funny, he's irritatingly annoying. The man likes to hear the sound of his own voice too much, so he can babble on forever nonsensically. Letterman should also shave the beard, it doesn't look good on him.

      You're an idiot. Letterman tries way too hard to get a laugh and his show sucks. He just goes from one stupid thing like float or sink to dropping watermelons off the roof. the whole show just has an aura of crap around it. His guests are the only thing that save him most of the time , a good guest is the only thing that saves him. that and great moments in presidential speachs but he doesnt even have to do anything with that i could turn to cnn and see bush being stupid any night of the week. Letterman sucks

    Conan was freaking hilarious!!!!!! They all choked except him. Letterman sucks and always has, Leno was pretty ok, and the Scottish dude gave me a chuckle a few times. Though, with Conan I actually laughed out loud. Sitting home with no one around I was laughing so hard I got laugh-tears in my eyes. He's a comic genius and no one can deny that. He (and no others in my opinion) need writers, they need to be able to entertain all on their own. If they do it with writers all they are are talking heads, NOT entertainers. Besides, the crap the writers have been coming up with the last few years is JUNK!
    Hey "DKNY" Letterman looks so foolish because he wanted the media and the public to talk about the stupid beard and not the 50 pounds he gained in only TWO months. You fell right into what he wanted to happen, how does that make you feel? Probably pretty foolish. Long story even longer??? true comedians and entertainers DON???T NEED WRITERS!

    I've always preferred Dave over Leno but there was a couple of yeats when Dave got really annoying - making noises over and over again, using that country bumpkin voice over and over. So I switched to Leno. Now, truth be told, I watch whoever has the nicest babe as first guest and if they have a guy, it's Law and Order reruns.
