Anyone who claims that a ridiculus democratic caucus system in Iowa speaks for 'all America' is very touched in the head. Iowa speaks for all America as much as a slanted poll question or crooked politician. Obama and Huckabee won in Iowa - big deal. When was the last time Iowa even picked the party nominee?

Any politician who feels that a win in a caucus is a mandate for the people deserves to be in a mental health facility, not the highest office in the land (though some may argue they are one in the smae). The 'people' of America have not spoken - only a hand full of people in Iowa have. The only thing that matters is what happens in November...

If Iowa is so important why even hold a national election - let these people elect the next president. The end outcome shall be different.

Obama is an intelligent, personable, down-to-earth guy who may do well in a National election....or not. The Republicans will come at him with everything they've got and that will be everything including race and the radical Islamic sound of his name. I'm very concerned that this election will be manipulated just as the last 2 have been.

Obama is a muslim! WHAT kind of american would vote for a muslim???????????????

First, congratulation to The senator Obama for being winning his first round in this tightent race, and that will give him a big momentum to carry on his energy to win the next battle states. But I strongly believe the rest American people will have to wake up to realize who is this man and how his inexperiences in foreign knowledges can confront the toughtness and hardness problems now aday. His policies and beliefs wont ever fix into the job as a president of US, and I dont think we, as a American patriot, dont need a Muslim president to run the white House , It's ashame to all of us, and to the founders of our contry. You will definetely to see this Obama fade away and turn off by the time it comes... God Bless America

kevfortruth they need to call you kevforlie!. What a disgusting thing to say about any persson! If you are black, you bring shame upon us!

I'm just trying to bring out the truth not a half lie, Obama wants us to believe. He is half white and half black - this is 100% truth - not a lie at all. You better check your facts. He is biracial, a "halfie" - have one race and half another - again nothing wrong with that unless you deny half of your racial heritage. If Obama was smart, he would be embracing both stating "I am both black and white" and can relate to all America. He doesn't do this and this is shameful. He has taken sides for a political advantage and so far it has worked until people realize what a phony he really is.

I do not believe we should be considering this defeat for the other candidates. This is not a national vote and certainly undermines the democratic process. It's not about who wins the Iowan Caucus, it's about the best candidate for the American people. You thought that was George Bush, but he's so high on "power" that he has no concern for the American people. So be careful fo the politics in this "ploy".

Black or white is not the concern. There is a serious and growing problem in the world today that may overshadow our petty prejudices. Radical Islam is the virus. How will Barac Husein Obama erase this connection?

I did not stand up for Obama at my caucus last night, but if you could have seen the support that was there you will not doubt his popularity or his ability to win big in November. Iowans take their responsibility very seriously and turned out in force; this was not a few party faithful, this was the masses. As for denigrating Iowa, those who do are those too dumb to know what a great place it is to live.

Then tell me, if Iowans turned out in mass how come it's only about 12% of voters? Keep in mind that you can sign up even if you are not of voting age on this date but are by Nov4th? Might I point out that this does not equate to votes in November when a true election takes place? By the way, I live in Iowa.

Obama was bought by George Soros and will promte his doctrine.
When Soros told Obama to remove his American Flag lapel pin because he doesn't like American values, he obeyed, When Obama blatantly refused to place his hand over his heart during the AMERICAN National Anthem, he was following Soros orders.
Soros hates this country and has found a puppet to help him change it.

The young people truly are the hope of America and by this OBAMA victory in Iowa I see there is hope for America. The best man won.

Finally, America is waking up to doing the right thing. Giving the win to the right candidate irrespective of who they are. I think the new generation of Americans are better human beings and this Obama win demonstrates that truly there is hope for America in its youth .

Thank you Iowa for showing us what fools ye be, and sadly I live in Iowa. Read up on how the caucus works for Democrats, a true primary would have had far different results for both parties. Perhaps New Hampshire will show some common sense and reason. The two "annointed" ones can't change a thing in Washington.

I am also an Iowan - which means I live in the state of Iowa (that like other labels, doesn"t mean a lot) - but the problem with politics is all the labels and all the hype - the caucus was a dog and pony show - if the newtworks had asked the caucus goers on their way out what any of their candiidates stood for or had actually done in their career, 2 out of 3 coldn"t tell you. They could all tell you that Huckabee was friemds with Chuck Norris - that Obama was supported by Oprah - and that Edwards had John Mellemcamp with him. And of course, theres the Billary show. A lousy way ro pick anyone for preseident - but hopefully in states where people actually have to vote and declare in private in a voting booth - they will look at records and achievements and not be automatically be sucked in by media hype and the press talking about electtabiltiy instead of issues. We will see if the Tiger Woods of presisential politics will be able to make it for the long haul and whether the sincere-insincere Baptist preacher from Arkansas can really make it in the national scene.

I think everyone should wait for the real primaries on Feb5th before naming a winner....One caucus does not a champion make!

Comment: Remember when Jesse the "Body" Ventura won in Minnesota. I think that is the first time that the media realized that voter's have a mind of their own. What people do not understand is that Obama represents a movement. They like him. Voters like Regan, they did not care about what the media said, they just liked the man. Obama has something the other politicians do not have. And it is that something that will bring victory to Obama. political pundits with their phd's don't get it. If Americans do not like you, they are not going to vote for you. Although a lot of people like Clinton many other do not , for reasons that i think are frivilous. However these are the facts. Did Regan have more experience than Carter in the eighties. No. Regan just had a likeability factor that is beyond an analyst's realm. You either have it or you don't. Obama has it
