Who Can Stop Obama?

Don't you people read!!!! The muslim connections that opponents keep trying to scare the public with have nothing to do with this real father. His mother's second husband drug her and Obama to Indonesia where he had to attend elementary school. The "public" schools there were muslim and he had to go. they only lived there for around two years. After his mother divorced this guy they moved to Hawaii and he has been in America ever since. He only saw his father once before he died in 1982. Barack's father was Kenyan, many people in Africa have Arabic sounding names. Why are Americans so ignorant about the world and other cultures! LOOK IT UP! It's in his book, there are even pictures. Is this all you guys can come up with? Feeble attempts to exploit an unfortunate name? What about Michelle? Does anyone stop and have enough common sense to examine their marriage and her background? Why would she marry a muslim? This whole thing is so ridiculous I shouldn't even be addressing it.

Relative to the administration that we've had in office the past 8 years Obama is a refreshing wind of change, and he is our best choice of all the feasible candidates. Hillary's way too polarizing and Edwards lacks substance. Obama will get the Democratic nomination.

Then there's the Republican field. Is America ready for another right wing evangelical? Huckabee will energize the Democrat's base more than any other candidate. Rudy Giuliani is going down the tubes - the public is becoming more and more aware of his infidelites, which almost make Bill's pale in comparison. Mitt Romney is the only moderate left that has any potential in the Republican field, and I don't believe many in the far right is ready to beat the pavement to elect a Mormon, but he does have a chance.

All the candidates have warts. We are least familiar with Obama's, and voters are burned out on Hillary.

Obama is not a Muslim. He is a member of the United Church of Christ which is a mainline Protestant denomination.

Correction: It should read, "The only one who can stop Obama from making history is the other candidate who will make history and who has devoted half her life for our children and the American people."

She will get up, dust off, run a disciplined campaign, get the Democratic nomination, win the presidential elections, get re-elected, and will be one of the greatest Presidents the U.S. ever had.

(Obama is a good man. He can be president in 2016.)

I hope it means that we will have real change in 08 and that we won't see the same types of hypocrites in the white house that we've had for the last 15 years. Bill Clinton started the trade pacts that have ruined so many American lives, Bush took those pacts and let coporations exploit them amongst other things, Hillary .... her suppport for the war, her support for the increase in the cap of working visas that are being abused by corporations to displaced "educated" white colar professionals, her support for companies like Tata Consulting that send high paying jobs overseas. The Clintons aren't for the middle class .... they are for the rich just like any Republican and for the rich only. I like what Obama is saying ... Thank God for a different and true American voice. We need change.

my problem with Obama is the fact he was born to a muslim mother and father,then his father lefy and went back from where came,and his mother married another muslim man,he was said to have been rasied a muslim,i don`t think they change their spots

I want to wish each other state their fun day at their caucus' or primaries. Please let's be kind to each other and try to find the good in each other. I am glad Obama won tonight, But I am only one voice and you are another. Take pride in the fact that you can caucus or vote in your primary. Thank god we are not in another country where we can't do that. Have fun in your vote, do your homework and don't listen to the media hype or scandals that alot of people throw at you.

I like Hillary and Edwards but they need to understand that they cannot overcome their records, they sold out to the same forces that have been "Punishing us for the last decade . Edwards cannot implement what he says and Hillary is haunted by the bill thing that is why she has to be careful not to go to negative. I will offer my advise on what the losers should do tomorrow. NO ONE LIKEs BEING CAUGHT WITH THEIR PANTS DOWN. OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT. DcooPer and deeP thinker you should study THE LIKEABILITy FACTOR and understand that I know more than all these Political Pundits and . Phd's. Did you see kieth OBEIRMAN and all those funny PeoPle on MSNBC. THey are dumb. They really looke devastated. Everything they believed in and all their Pundits were wrong. They were so one sided, Hillary. THe media has to recognize that more and more PeoPle do not believe them. Obama is very intelligent and has proven it time and time again. He never got a free handout. He worked hard and accomplished more than anyone else his age in his field. That is a fact. People...Moan and groan all you want to. The writing is on the wall. History is about to be made and no one is going to stand in the way of it. Obama will win the nomination and the Presidency. It's going to be a referendum on Bush and on the years and years of racism that has plagued this country. Be skeptical all you want but this is not a campaign. This is a movement. A movement will always beat a campaign!

So - I'm looking at some of these comments and I must say that I am very skeptical about some of these comments. I would not be suprised if members of ALL campaigns have their staff members writing good things about their candidate and bad things about the one they want to see fall flat on their face.

Be CAUTIOUS what you choose to believe. I trust these message boards as far as I can throw them. I strongly recommend to people to get ALL the facts...watch all the different networks (EVEN FOX - I can't believe I just said that...I hate FOX). I digress.

There are people here who would desuade the American public. I have at least somewhat of a renewed sense of appreciation for my fellow Americans. I start to wonder sometimes if we are collectively as gullible and as easily manipulated as we have shown to be in the past. I mean...if 30% of Americans still think of Bush as having done a good job - what does a candidate have to do to get down to zero? My grandpa used to say "There's a sucker every minute." Unfortunately - its true. What I found most convincing by the way...since I failed to mention it....MSNBC showed that more women voted for Obama than Hillary - WOW. I was shocked about that one. I guess the claim that 25% of Republican women are going to vote for Hillary may be a questionable premise that they're building their campaign on. Also - it was great to see so many independents and Republicans vote for the man. If he can get so many people of all beliefs and parties to vote for him - why wouldn't he be more successful at moving legislation where the American public wants it to go (although - that will be a MAJOR challenge without question). Anyway - just more comments for the peanut gallery.

This country has taught me that if you work hard enough and remain honest in your service to humanity, certainly you can realize the 'American Dream'. For Iowa has demonstrated and reaffirmed my faith in this great nation, with a WIN tonight for Senator Barrack Obama, in his quest for the American Presidency. I hope that my teen-age son, Masu, Jr. and all children his age, will stumble upon this posting and for them to have the passion and endearing conviction, that education, service to country and an abiding faith in God, will ignite the spirit and true essence of being an American-the ability to be 'FREE and to CHOOSE' one's destiny.
