I have never contributed to any political party in my forty plus years on this earth. I've seen something in Obama that I never thought I will see in any serious politician; honesty, integrity, candor, humility and a breath of fresh air. Clinton is old news. I am on the verge of making a cash contribution to the Obama campaign. Go Obama.

    Matt.

When push comes to shove Obama can't do it. Hillary has her Bill and Obama has Oprah. What I have noticed and do not like about Obama is how his speeches in front of a black crowd gets pretty preacher and yet in front of a white crowd it's the intellectual white side of O'bama. If he does this now if he ever made it as President would he treat black and white differently? I believe he would.

Does it even matter how he addresses blacks and whites. The message is the same. He is the man who can and will unite this country. People want peace, regardless of the race. It is time for change and he is the people's choice. Our country is at risk on so many levels, and the citizens of this great country are looking for someone who doesn't have a hidden agenda. Obama is a man of honesty, integrity, intellect, compassion, and real-life experiences, much like the majority in this country. He has my vote, better yet, he's earned my vote. GO OBAMA.

I am pleasantly surprised by Iowan's display of hope and courage in affirming Obama. I wonder if the rest of the country has the cajones to follow suit. I fear that the sheep mentality of American voters will return when, down the road, a vote for Obama will be more than a symbolic statement.

I have no doubt that Hillary and the entrenched establishment will fight to create a fear of the future under an Obama presidency. We will be told that terrorists and unfriendly nations will hurt us, our economy will crumble, our elderly will be processed into cattle feed and our children sold to gypsies if the "inexperienced" Obama is elected. Chicken Little's refrain will be shouted from every rooftop by Hillary and the republican scare machine.

Don't believe the hype!! Political experience is not necessary to serve the public successfully. There are thousands of career bureaucrats in Washington who will assist whoever is elected manage the daily operations of our government. What is most important in a leader is intelligence, vision and integrity. Without these attributes, the aforementioned bureaucrats will manipulate our president to serve their own special interests, a la George Bush.

Obama seems to be the only viable candidate that has the necessary character to serve The People. I emphasize the word "seems". Only time will tell if he will walk the walk. The other prospects however, on both sides of the aisle, are a known quantity. They have repeatedly demonstrated a willingness to sell out the American people for political and financial gain. I say we give Obama a shot. I am hesitantly optimistic that he could actually be the real deal; a politician who will serve the people, not himself.

this is an exciting development. Obama is a forward-looking voice of reason, rather than a desperate adherance to holding the past in place. The country, and indeed the world, really needs a person like Obama in the Oval Office.

At the last Democratic convention, Obama gave the keynote speech. I was in awe...looking at a future President of the United States. I wish I had a national platform to tell everyone...vote Democratic this time, if for no other reason than to cure what ails the Supreme Court, which is now no more than a Republican rubber stamp. What they decode affects all of us for decades to come, and once they're in office, we're stuck with them.

Nicely written article. But I think it would be a mistake to think that Obama has only the fresh face youth supporting him ...I think his support runs deeper. And there are many groups who might be waiting for a positive signal, a verification of sorts, to start backing him up in earnest. Iowa verified Obama.

Imagine President Hillary Clinton for 8 years. That would mean 28 years with no president other than Bush or Clinton. No thanks. Its time for a change...way past time already

Obama never refused to say the Pledge. As for not placing his hand over his heart when you think he should, what a silly reason to discount someone.

Obama has shown good, solid judgement. He may not have years in experience in Washington, but I think that's a good thing. He isn't tainted by the Beltway. He's got my vote.

I'm "fired up" here in Colorado! I've been an Obama supporter from the get-go. Last night's win gave me a much-needed boost. My exhiliaration today is in the fact that Barack Obama' s movement is catching on--that we are truly turning the page on the Bush-Clinton dynasty.

Hilliary Clinton's "entitlement campaign" has backfired. Hooray! We need a woman President for sure, but she's not the one. Her secretive, calculating attack machine politics has turned many of us off. Bill, though a talented strategist, has too much of an ego that get in the way, plus there's plenty of negative character issues that will surface again should Hilliary be the nominee. Hilliary herself represents too much of the past, plus she helped Bush authorize his faily policy in Iraq.

I am so happy to be inspired by Barack Obama's new brand of politics that has more and more Americans fired up for real change and a new way of doing business. Like many, I've been disgrunted and felt left out of the process for too long. But now, America--and the world for that matter--can move on to a brighter future with a leader for the 21st century who will truly bring people together to solve problems here at home and then in the world community. African Zulu mythology referred to the Rainmaker--a saviour of sorts that would unite the tribes. Barack Obama has arrived on the world stage with the power to make a difference. Let's help him in this mission.

This is the comment I posted a couple of day agos. I am an American and I know my people. ALL My analysis were correct and backed by facts. I proved to be the most accurate going back months. Hopefully, people will learn that if you research and back your arguments with facts you will find the truth. I like Hillary and Edwards but they need to understand that they cannot overcome their records, they sold out to the same forces that have been "Punishing us for the last decade . Edwards cannot implement what he says and Hillary is haunted by the bill thing that is why she has to be careful not to go to negative. I will offer my advise on what the losers should do tomorrow. NO ONE LIKEs BEING CAUGHT WITH THEIR PANTS DOWN. OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT. DcooPer and deeP thinker you should study THE LIKEABILITy FACTOR and understand that I know more than all these Political Pundits and . Phd's. Did you see kieth OBEIRMAN and all those funny PeoPle on MSNBC. THey are dumb. They really looke devastated. Everything they believed in and all their Pundits were wrong. They were so one sided, Hillary. THe media has to recognize that more and more PeoPle do not believe them. They rePresent corPorations who have been indoctrinating us to sPene like wild animals and go into debt. DEbt financing. YOu know with CHINA. Everyone should read my comments and decide for temselves. Mitt Romney is a true clown just like Guilliani. His lies make me weeP like I said all along. His solution to health care is too offer Packagaes which PeoPle cannot afford. This man has just fliP floP too much and has followed the BUSH DOCTRINE. THAT EX Pired two years ago. I look forward to seeing his comPlete defeat in a couPle of weeks. Romney does not rePresent change HENRY TAFT BENSON. MY PEOPLE HAVE SEEN THROUGH THE MIRAGE. OBAMAMcCain for President. I backed every Post with facts. I am a Proud graduate of UMD in Maryland. I graduated four years ago and I am Part of a movement behind OBAMA that wants the best for ALL AMERICANS, EVEN GINGRICH and some of my friends who ridiculed my Posts. Comment: Deep Thinker, Obama has been a success his whole life, He is far beyond his years and has always excelled above his peers. You need to research his eight years as an Illinois state senator. Obama is very intelligent and has proven it time and time again. He never got a free handout. He worked hard and accomplished more than anyone else his age in his field. That is a fact. What has Obama done that makes you think that he is not ready to be president, deep thinker. NO ONE LIKES BEING CAUGHT WITH THEIR PANTS DOWN. OBAMA/McCain ticket for President. We can move forward or we can go backwards. It is your choice.

What makes Obama the man to beat right now. Is he really believes what he says. Making him a great and gifted speaker. I am an independent and usually have the attitude of voting for the lesser of two evils. But Obama has proved to me especially as the keynote speaker at the 2004 democratic convention, that he is man of visions and will do what ever it takes to get it done. I don't care if he doesn't have the experience. I am tired of the same old thing and he represents the change from the norm. He speaks for us and I will be cashing my vote in on Nov. for Obama.

Barack is a gifted speaker. He is a self made man, well-educated, has strong familiy values, principles, honesty and deep sense of commitment in whatever he does. He is a very thoughtful man and controls his instincts with great sense of moderation. He has right kind of experience and background to lead this great nation and unify us all with some brilliant commonsence solutions. He does not hesitate to walk across the aisle and meet his opponents if he believes he can get a better deal for the good of the country. Do not believe when spin masters say that he does not have the experience to lead this country. What did the people who had the so called experience do ?. They landed us in a messy situation in Iraq where our brave soldiers are losing their lives on a misdirected forgeign policy adventure (the armed forces of our great nation never failed our country, it's the civilian leadership which failed our armed forces and our country at times in our history. The experienced people in Washington have created huge deficits, and they are clueless about directing our countries trade policies in this globalized economy. The experienced people are too tied up in their inflexible ideologies that they can never contemplate of coming together for the good of the country and bring about some commonsense solutions. The so called experienced people have become so elitist that they do not consider themselves to be common people anymore. The polictics have become so divisive that every issue, every comment is subject to spin endlessly and everybody is categorized either as a lefttist or a rightist or whatever and in this endless spin.....the issue is forgotten and the message is lost. Barack is a breathe of fresh air into our body politic and he should be given a chance considering the fact that much lesser mortals with doubtful credentials have attained the highest post in our land.

My fellow Americans, we are witnesses to history. And today I am very proud to be an American. Yesterday was act by the citizens of Iowa to demonstrate to the world that we are ready for change. That we are finally at the next step of evolution in the American society. And we are lucky be part of history. Iowa which is 95% white, put their faith in the first ever candidate to win a caucus/primary. America has finally evolved pass the race card. Americans are now more open and intelligent than ever before. We know that we must elect our leader based on principles and convictions. We will continue to make history and will elect the best person to lead us into the right direction. And that person will be Obama.

About five or six months ago I wrote to CNN's ( at least to three different ancores) and then again to AC360 and also to Fox News( Hannity and Colmes) about the possible outcome of the nomonation process and then the match up in the general election. I also foresightedly predicted that Obama and Huckabee will win the respective nomination process, and each one will pick John Edwards and Maccain respectively as a running mate ; and the outcome will be a conclusive victory to the democrats. Since the eastalished networks don't like any negative comments on the eastablished candidates( like Hillar Clinton), my opnion reached no where.
Coming back to Mr. Obama's success, this guy has lived the lives of ordinary citizens and worked in the communities, thus aleady knows the voices of the society by heart. That gives him alot of passion which he altmately reflects in his speech. It looks like he is addressing each and everyone of us privately even though he is speaking to the crowd. People are mesmerized with his images, his political ieads which transensd any barrier possible and above all his uncanny ability of delivering his messages. No body has ever broken the barriers like he did, he is highly reputed and endwells in the hearts and minds for generations to come. As I predicted long before, there is no one who can stop this MAN simply is born to lead not made to lead!!

Once again the media finds it hard to credit Obama for his victory. Usually when a team does well or bad the coach is where the buck stops.
Obama is the coach .He Chose his key team members!!!!!! So the title this piece should be "HOW OBAMA BUILT A VICTORY"
I'm sure if somebody in the obama campaign screwed up somehow ,the media would have blamed obama.
the people hate the media machine.

My son Christopher Farrell was one of the field organizers you mentioned in your well writen article. However he was not an Ivy league scholar but a proud graduate of our local state college Rhode Island College. He has worked tirelessly in Iowa and will be traveling to california to help out there. He is passionate about the work he is doing but more importantly he is passionate about Barack , for he is a man of integrity as well as intelligence. I have read both his books and believe he can take us into the future with dignity and grace.

I am the oldest of 8 kids and I am 28 the youngest is 18. I wasn't alive to see John or Robert Kennedy and how they motivated the younger generation, and I was 12 when Bill Clinton was first elected so I really didn't get to see how these great men where inspirational like I get to with Barrak Obama. I live in the reddest state in the Union and even the Republicans and Republican leaning Independents I know in Utah think highly of Obama. In Utah and the rest of the West Democrats are making big inroads, but Utahns and westerners look at the Clintons with Distain and I fear that if Clinton was our Nominee she would put the chances of Democrat here in Utah and the rest of the west!
