I am just so torn. All 3 have really good qualities, and I for one am not swayed by gender or color. Those that are swayed, are not as open minded as they apparently like to voice that they are! I am pleased that it is still a close race, as I have not yet chosen my canidate, but am leaning towards Edwards. He at least is NOT taking money from the big corps, thus does not have to answer to anyone when he wins. Unfortunatly I cannot say the same about Hillary or obama. Otherwise, my decision would be even tougher!

Does anyone notice that Edwards has received approximately 1/10th the press coverage for the past several months that Obama and Clinton have had? I don't see how this can be overlooked. I like Obama but he really isn't as clear or aggressive on the issues, and I wish they would all be given fair coverage in this mediaocracy.

I like Edwards Um from Iowa and in mysmall town Edwards won. I had a heart transplant 4 years ago, yes my husbands inn. paid for it. But in 2007 he lost his job (down sizeing ) or other words the company was not making enough money. Edwards should be our next leader .

I think that Edwards needs to tweak his message to continue to build his momentum. Fighting against amorphous corporate greed is a bit fuzzy. I think he needs to take the message a step further and define and discuss the industries in which corporations meet the status of "corporate greed." Also, discuss the US government policies and practices, that started with the Clinton administration, which allows mega corporations to develop consortiums that behave like monopolies. Small business people may be afraid that Edwards might include them in his fight against corporate greed. They need to know that they are not.

It is a shame that we have choices brought to us by the same selfish people who gave us Kerry, gore, and Bush. It is also regrettable that women in this country are thought of as inadequate to be president. when they act like men thay are called 'power hungry' but who else would run for president? don't tell me that Obama isn't power hungry... he has never even served the country... just power stepping up the ladder powered by the Chicago 3 rich folks.

I am glad that Obama and Edwards are the leaders here. Either of them would make a fine president. Obama's comment that we are not blue states and red states but one union of people is a terrific message. I am sure all people regardless of political affiliation hope for less partisan politics. I notice that I take sides even before an issue is presented to me based on the presenter or the party. U.S. national politics looks more and more like a high stakes winner take all shouting match (or spinning match). I can't discuss any issues with my very good friends who are supporters of the other party. This is no way to run a democracy.

America is in a weakened state socially and economically. The loss of ones individual freedoms and rights is not what I would call a change of pace. No mainstream moderate, Republican or Democrat would ever vote for a Socialist president. A vote for Obama would be a vote for a Socialist America.

So lets all vote Republican, and we can have a theocratic or fascist state.

I'd vote for any Democratic candidate, before any Republican. The last few years have taught much of America a lesson.

Paxton further defines fascism's essence as:

...a sense of overwhelming crisis beyond reach of traditional solutions; 2. belief one???s group is the victim, justifying any action without legal or moral limits; 3. need for authority by a natural leader above the law, relying on the superiority of his instincts; 4. right of the chosen people to dominate others without legal or moral restraint; 5. fear of foreign `contamination."[12]

Does any of this remind anyone of some of the behavior of the last 7 years, or so??

I think it was a dead heat. Declaring victory is premature and not at all useful. The top three are still the top three and I think it will make for an interesting convention.

When will America get it? No candidate will ever change anything, but they will promise to do anything to get into office. The masses are asses, a bunch of sheep who will seemingly follow the person who tells them what they want to hear and believe - anyone for some Jonestown Koolaid?
