What’s Wrong with Britney?

Dr. Phil said on his show yesterday that he's been involved with the Spears family over the Britney issue for a long, long time already ... if that's true, it certainly isn't much of a positive testimonial of his psychiatric abilities cuz she's getting worse by the minute!

I think that everybody should just leave the poor girl alone! Its seems as though everyone is on her back! She couldn't take a *** without the stupid poperotzi taking her picture! And she probably wouldnt be the way she is now if it wouldnt for all these people that act so against her! I mean,what has she done to people anyway! It aint like shes killed anyone! Everybody needs a little support and help sometimes and nobody has enough compassion to show it to her! And i myself think shes trying to do her best and thats all a person can do! I think she DIDN'T deserve to get her kids taken they'd be alot better off with her than with kevin! And this one kills me when i hear people talking about it, it aint like its that big of a deal that she drove with her kids in her lap! If you have ever been the country, youll see people doing it all the time! And so what that she almost fell with her kid,everybody trips! I just wish that people would just give her a break! I'm gonna laugh when she makes a big comeback and i relly hope she does just to prove to people that she is a good actress and singer! I've never met her or anything but I'd say shes alot better person than what people is led to believe! I think just cuz shes got money and fame and 2 pretty lil boys everyones jeolous of her! So they need to just get over it and if people worryied about thereselves as much as they did other people I'd say this world would be in alot better shape!

no I would not show any compassion for her. She knows what she is up to. With all her money its a shame that she cannot pull herself together.ALL the BRAWN and NOOOOO brain. Spoilt brat

Just where did you hear Dr. Phil making all of the quoted comments that you attribute to him? Perhaps in a "good" dream? .On the matter of 'sexual obsessions', you have several postings on here that would seem evident the problem lies closer to home.
And the word is "Insatiable."

HEY HEY, dont blame it all on Britney's fame, Mom, K-FED, the Media, and so on. Britney Spears clearly shows 100% signs of mania which is part of bipolar disorder and if you dont know what THAT IS, look it up on the internet. It is a mental illness of the brain and can be treated with the right kind of medication, counselling, support from friends and family, and following a healthy lifestyle including sleeping 8 hours at nights. Unfortunately with bipolar disorder, it does worsen over time if you are not treated and often, it gets a LOT worse after having children like it did in my situation. One of the biggest clues of bipolar disorder is they often run into legal problems, have children taken away, indulge in drug and alcohol problems, participate in risky sexual activities, overspend/or get into serious debt, and so on. When a person is in deep maniac mode like Britney is in now, it is very difficult to get it through her. People in mania do not cooperate unless they are absolutely backed into a corner and be willing to accept help. I would think a famous living person with bipolar disorder would be the best bet to come to Britney and act as her peer. You all cant make a judgement unless you know what it is TRULY like to live with bipolar disorder. IT is just a real difficult disease and I wouldnt wish it on anybody.

I believe her Mom, K-Fed, lawyers and everyone else all tried and tried very hard to get it through her so dont blame them. I dont think K-Fed is after full custody just for the money but he had to do it out of the boy's safety and well that comes FIRST. He may not be perfect and a little bit of a weasel but heck, he is a lot better for their boys. Society is partly to blame because we dont accept mental illness because it is a HUGE STIGMA. We accept phyiscal illness and accept AIDS now these days. It is high time, that society as whole start to support people with mental illness. Can we show compassion for Britney and hope she does come around eventually ??

Stop stop blaming her parents, the media, her fame of her wild behaviour and destruction. She shows obivious signs of bipolar disorder 100% and if you know exactly what it is, GREAT. If you dont know what it is, look it up at websites about it. Britney is clearly in maniac mode for many months and she thinks everything is OK and under her control. People in mania will not respond to anyone for help until they run in all sorts of legal problems, criminal behaviour, alcohol or drug abuse, high sexual activity and hitting absolute bottom. Britney is HITTING BOTTOM so it is a matter of time when she will seek medical help. Medication, counselling, and lots of support from family and friends will help her recover from this horrible disease of the brain called Bipolar. She does not NEED MEDIA OR PAPARAZZI LOOKING DOWN AT HER. One day only on her terms, she may chose to tell her story about her bipolar disorder but now the time is too intense and she is going through a lot lately. It is time to LEAVE HER ALONE AND IN PEACE. People can recover from Bipolar disorder but it takes the courageous will to admit yourself that this is a mental illness with the STIGMA ATTACHED TO YOU. Society as whole need to support people with mental illness, not just physical illness and accept them for what they are.

I feel sorry for Britney because I truly don't believe her dilusional outlook on life is her fault. She was raised in the public eye by a mother who did nothing to teach her the ways of the world. She was a pre-teen pop princess who ultimately had control over everyone around her, and was never required to factor in the world around her. During those formative years she developed an irrational view of her relationship to the rest of society, which is where the root of her problems lie right now. As an adult and a mother, she is required to abide by laws and norms that she wasn't faced with as a teen. Because she was always in control of her circumstances, she feels she should be able to control them now as well. Unfortunately the court is not a part of her adoring entourage, and they expect her to behave in ways she has never been required to behave before. We can thank her 'Sensational Mother' Lynn Spears for not teaching her daughter any self control or responsibility, and allowing her to develop a dilusional perception of herself and those around her. Unfortunately I think it will take her losing everything before she really gets a wake-up call. I just hope for her sake and for her children that she does eventually come around.

p.s. All the 'good parent' and 'father of the year' titles are unjustly awarded to the loser that we know as the ex Mr. Britney Spears. Simply being less of a trainwreck than your baby-mama does not make you a good parent, and I believe he has 2 other children by Char Jackson who he abandoned as soon as he saw his meal ticket. The only reason he is fighting at all for his children by Brit is that he stands to gain quite a lot in child support by being a custodial parent. What would make him a good father is if he loved and fought for all of his children, but even while he was married to Brit, he was the one out partying while she stayed with the kids. This is just a PR ploy, and the media and viewers are naively eating it all up. Those poor kids have NO GOOD PARENT right now!

Her mother needs to take the children until she grows up, the children should not be with "K-fed". I've been in this situation already.

I think Britney is a sweet girl. And a tough little cookie.
