What’s Wrong with Britney?

I am sooo sick and tired of hearing about Britney Spears. This is not news. Why is this country so obsessed with celebrities? Why is it when I go to CNN.com or MSN.com there are links to story's about Spears or other celebrities. Why do we care so much about what happens in their lives? Are your lives so meaningless that you have to pry into the lives of others? So she is a bad mom, look around where you live, I am sure there are a ton of bad momes. For once can i get some real news?

I think it is absolutely irresponsible of you to speculate that Britney is bi-polar. There are a million and one things that could or could not be wrong with Miss Spears. You're only privy to the information the media and paparazzi provide you. That is NOT a solid foundation to make your comments on. Although I agree she could be bipolar, she could also have several other problems that are causing this behavior. I just hope she gets whatever help she needs.

I am not a Dr. but I am a Social Worker and I truly think Ms. Spears had no time to fully grow up, she was always conforming to what everyone wanted her to be but I think she just wanted to be Britney but noone really ever gave her that chance she was a "slave" of the indusrty and use to people saying yes so much that maybe they should have been upfront with her and now look she needs help but not from media, not from mom but from self. Britney is not mental she is hurting and needs healing, people just need to let her heal because one thing I can say to Ms. Spears is "whereever you go, there you are"..........

Doesn't anyone see this is typical behavior for any addict/alcoholic? Her life has become unmanageable. This is first step work for anyone who knows about 12 Step Recovery. Brittany has been to rehab, but some are sicker than others and just admitting we are powerless over substances and our lives are unmanageable is a huge revelation that comes easier for some than others. I can understand where a celebrity would have a harder time than some others; ego and pride must be set aside and the understanding of humility must develop. I see this behavior almost daily in the recovery fellowship. We do not judge one another, we have compassion and understanding. Many of us have been where she is. There is hope for a future for her and her children, Brittany just needs to grasp recovery and find a Power Greater than herself to overcome her addictions. Life does get better without drugs and alcohol, in fact, life actually becomes LIFE. None of us have the right to judge her or any other with problems of this sort. I am not, and never have been a Brittany fan, but I do know what she is going through and I pray for her. I hope one day she is able to hear the message and finds her recovery. Only then will her life change and her children will be in her life on a constant basis. Her children need her, as all children need their mother. They need her clean and sober. Once her recovery begins, she will understand she has choices, one day at a time, she has choices.

Britney appears to be bi-polar and not taking medication - Kevin wants the kids for support money - no kids means no money - keep in mind his "pimp daddy" song on his cd - neither is a model parent - Britney might be, however, if on medication for the bi-polar disorder - also, if Kevin is such a great parent, why doesn't he push for more visitation with his children from Char Jackson???

Being bipolar myself, I see so many behaviors in Britney that point to her being bipolar. My guess is she's either never been medicated for it, or is currently not taking her medications. Something is definitely "not right" with her. Behaviors that are considered "risky" is a classic example of bipolar behavior. She is definitely exhibiting risky behavior; her inability to stop, even knowing the circumstances, certainly points to bipolar disorder. I truly hope Britney gets the help she needs before it's too late.

Our jails and prisons are bulging at the seams. California spends 64 billion a year in tax dollars to keep poor troubled people housed in unsanitary, overcrowed inhumane conditions. It is about time to think about better solutions. A few decades ago it was a rarity for women to be incarcerated. Women were treated as the weaker sex. The hormones and instincts of motherhood were respected and men were supposed to act gallantly in servitude and deference like real men emulating Joseph.

Most will claim it is easy, but when just walking down the street or driving through a Taco Bell is an exercise in manuevering around 50 -60 people with flashbulbs flashing constantly in your face, to walk down the aisles of a mall or Home Depot with 25-40 people backpedaling in front of you waiting to see what brand toilet paper you buy-the pressure to live just a normal life could be impossible. There needs to be some type of privacy law, the paparazzi has become ridiculous.

Nightlyt...whats it going to do for us to hate on Brit or anyone with problems. All you can do is feel sorry for the people who have ruined their lives, as for Kevin, I stand by what I said. Oh and I beleive hes in the news/media right now. Like Brit im sure theres alot we dont know about him. And sometimes everything you ever wanted as you would say......isnt always everything . And thats where shes going wrong, her kids should now be everything to her, and thats where shes throwing it all away. all being her kids.

I think it is very possible that she is bipolar. It would explain a lot of her behavior. If she was committed it may be because she has had a psychotic break. If she is genuinely ill, then with medication she may stabilize. I don't think that people with mental illness should be ridiculed, but unfortunately bizarre behavior is fascinating, entertaining and repulsive. I don't wonder that Brittany is unstable. She didn't have much of a childhood to speak of, her mother doesn't appear to be very maternal and clearly money has not made her happy or fulfilled. Big surprise, an adult child star that has problems. We've NEVER seen this sort of thing before.
The media, paparazzi and public obsession with celebrity is ultimately the problem. We've been at war now for six years and nobody cares, but the whole country grinds to a halt as Paris Hilton is taken to jail. Now even local news broadcasts include entertainment "news" along with sports "news." I wonder how long it will be before our society completely degenerates...maybe we already have.

Good god , another spoiled ex star on a rampage. She supposedly refused to abide by the rules and/or laws of the state (returning custody of a child), charge her with a crime, and place her under arrest. Book her, and let a judge sort it out. Why are stars of any sort getting any kind of special treatment?

She could be bi-polar and not taking her medicine. Whatever the problem is I pray she gets well for her son's sake.
