I feel she is over paid and the money that goes to sports, and celeberties should be going to our military families. Because they work and protect our country and our the most under paid job..I feel her husband is older and trying to get over on her and if she had no money he would not be bothering her yes britney and everyone ealse needs to have a private life and should not be getting paid to sing it is entertainment. Our money should go to the military who protect us.What are we teaching our world.

Only in America will people drive their own Icons and Idols to insanity and to their death...(Marilyn, A-Nicole, ...to name a few) then, only then, they are satisfied to reflect and talk about the "good" side of the person AFTER they die. What's the point? So very sad...but typical!

I wish people would leave Britney and give her some breathing space so that she can regain and stand up again. I am hoping there are women's group for something similar she had gone through and that they could help her become who she wants to be.... despite all the ugliness this custody battle is putting her through... big hugs for you Britney... I know you can do it~!! Best wishes, Rebecca from Canada

I am sure everyone wants to expose "how badly Britney is doing" and that paparratis are all over her no matter where she goes... but can't we try and see her point of view or at least that she is going through a very tough time with her custody battle?? I wish everyone would leave her alone as I am sure given change for her to stand up on her own, I am sure she will eventually... Her ex rubbing things in her face does not help either... it is hard to go through "custody battle" for any one.... give her chance to grieve and stand on her own... when time is right for her... Having gone through the nasty custody battle my self with an ex who could twist everything... I can really relate to some of Britney's behavour. Please give her time and space she needs right now to regain herself... we are all human... and mothers are not expected to lose their children this way.... I am hoping there are enought support for her to lean on to... best wishes, Rebecca from Canada

I really feel for this girl. She has spiraled out of control since her and Kevin split. She is so scrutinized by the media that everything she does is magnified by 3000. Of course some of it comes with being a celebrity, but c'mon now. She seems to be going through depression since her life as she knew it has been turned upside down. I know I thought she would be a wonderful mom to the kids when they split, but I think him not being in the picture was too much for her to handle. She moved so quickly into this relationship with him and then here comes the two kids, that was a lot. Her hormoneds probably never stabilized after the birth of both of her children. Then to lose them to Kevin had to be a hard one to swallow. Shar says he's a great dad and all but how great is he when he left her pregnant and started a relationship with Britney? Great dad's are great people and to me he is not. Brit is his 15 minutes to fame and money. His album was a total bomb, like most people with common sense expected, yet here he is still in the spotlight because of what's going on. He's out drinking, partying and getting high and no one feels the need to bring that up. All of that is overlooked. Brit goes out and shaves her head and looses a bit of control and she's this psychotic monster. I really don't understand the justice system on this one. I believe that more than anything Brit needs love, prayer and some help. She will survive this and be stronger when it's over. People don't understand what it does to women who lose their children to their ex-husband after a failed marriage. Be more understanding.

The '5150' hold is executed in order to prevent the one who is committed from causing any physical harm to themselves or others. As the relative of family members plagued by alcohol addiction, I can personally comment on the way it has allowed us, as a family, to intervene at very difficult times. For example, my grandma locked my grandpa out of the house one day and he punched a hole right through the glass and unlocked the door as my grandmother called 911. The option for mental evaluation (for both grandparents) was enough to keep my grandmother from pressing charges against my grandfather. Cases of domestic violence are not considered civil infractions, but crimes against the state in which the act was committed. If there wasn't the '72 hour' rule, it would have been likely that my grandmother would have told the police to arrest my grandfather, given her fear of any possible acts of retaliation. Before this scenario, we did notice that our grandfather did look as if he had been bruised or cut, but we had attributed that to his daily activities, since he was always outside (in order to stay away from my grandmother.) In our family matter, the underlying problems that caused my grandparents to resort to substance abuse were targeted, and we as a family became aware of how grave the situation had become, and invited them to move in with us. Although my grandpa and grandma never did completely overcome their alcohol dependency, the latent triggers were no longer hidden from us. We took a much greater role in their lives, much as they did for myself, as well as all of us grandchildren. This occurred in the mid-1990's and at that time there were no special psychiatric wards set up for '5150s'. You were basically put into a mental ward that was not tailored to meet the needs of a 72 hour patient. Today, fortunately, patients who are to be held for the 3 day mental evaluation are treated much more efficiently and not exposed to the intimidation of being 'housed' with 10 full-time mental patients; a quite scary place for a 75 year old in for just 3 days. Luckily the protocols by which the temporary patients are evaluated have changed dramatically, but even with the best care the most important thing Britney could have is the support of friends and family. She needs the unconditional support of those around her, and that includes her relatives as well as the public (including paparazzi). Having a solid network to rely on emotionally is something that money just can't buy, and sometimes the fame and fortune completely obscure one's ability to focus on what really matters.

Britney has got only herself to be blamed for all she had done. Nobody forced her to do anything. What she did was all through her own will. She is old and matured enough to know what is good and what is bad. So stop blaming others for her actions!

I am not a Brittney fan, but I still feel sorry for this lady. I would have a break down too if my kids were to be taken away from me. And w/ all the inconsiderate and relentless harrasments from photographers, plus all the unfeeling articles about her , who would not break down? The saddest thing is...where are all the people who are supposed to be supporting her? Her "friends"? Those people who exploited and took advantage of her fame and only think of their self interest? Where are they?

Who cares? She's a junkie and a drunk and Kevin Federline isn't much better. The difference is that he is at least a junkie and a drunk who can follow directions. I am tired of hearing about her need for friendship and spiritual healing. What she needs is to be held to the same level of accountability that everyone else must maintain. If she can't do so, then she should lose the kids, and her freedom. Hopefully, someone will put her in jail before she kills some innocent person or people (like her kids) during one of her many moments of self-absorption. Who would ever have believed that Kevin Federline would be considered anything more than a marginal parent.

Have'nt you people heard enough of this out of control chick?! Every damn day for the past two years there's some kind of news about her stupidity! As far as I'm concerned, her dumb tush should have been locked up a long time ago by her family! But I guess talking to the reporters is a thrill for them!

  • Posted By: mercurialmade62 @ 01/06/2008 3:57:24 AM

In the plain old Aussie venacular: It's as obvious as dog's balls that Ms Spears is suffering from good old fashioned post natal depression. And YES I do what I'm talking about......I suffered from it myself after the birth of my daughter. Get the girl some help! However, don't rely on her mother to do it....a woman who pimps both her daughters out to fame and then has the audacity to pen a "parenting guide"!?! Only in America!

was Britney a "Drunk Drug Addict" before she met Kevin Federlien. I DON'T THINK SO.

I think it's normal to act crazy when a person's children are being taken away. God bless you, Britney.

Personally, I feel sorry for all involved. I think that the whole situation in ALL of Hollywood sucks today. Where are the morals? Honestly, it's just sad.

Like I was saying before I think it has nothing to do with Kevin or anyone else. Britney just needs to go to edgyedge.com and check out some tips for dealing with relationships, new or old. Also, I think her video is extremely hot, and I watch it at least once a day. Go britney! If you want to get some breast enhancements go to finestimplants.com Say Hi to mom. Good Luck!

this mess is a result of a young woman being lied to by a proven liar.Britney had the misfortune to meet up with Kevin Federlien and was taken in by his access to Illegal Drugs.
kevin was involved with another woman who had his child as he was lureing Britney with the drugs, and lies of love. All that he loved was her money and fame.why would he leave the mother of his child and his child for another woman (Britney) if not for the love of money?
Britney should sue him for fraud. that is exactly what he is! As for the Greedy photographers,
would you put your foot under the tire of someone's car if you could make another thousand dollars off of another picture?Flashing strobe lights are difficult to overlook as they are pointed at you while you are trying to drive. Now multiply the bright flashing lights by 25 or 30 photographers from all angles and you would have trouble driving even if you are a trained driver.( i.e. Princess Diana). As for the pictures of the "upskirt" type, this would put you in jail if you did this and it has resulted in the prosecution of a lot of perverts.Do it at a mall and see what happens to you.Britney has had a lot of good things to say to the young girls of today and this is another lesson for them. Don't date a man who has a pregnant girlfriend.
he is not available! In this case it is Kevin Federlien who is deserving of the mental evaluation.
as for the Drugs of "an unknown substance" just watch Jay Lenno and Conan Obrien and see how they glorify the Illegal Drugs. the act like it is a joke! Britney is not at the right place for any kind of evaluation."forced medication" is this done knowingly or like a date rape drug?
5150? The only thing that is a danger to Britney is the law that allows this to go on.
In the state of Wisconsin there is an outdated law that allows anyone to practice law without passing a bar examination.if they went to law school in this state.this is how these stupid laws get passed. the free pass favor system.one ass wipes the other. In a state the elects an actor to be the governor how can there be any protection for people in this kind of situation ?
It is not a good feeling to be in this situation and have no access to any attorney.the media has proven that they can and will publish anything to make money.Does it look like Britney posed for the picture up her skirt?how can anyone protect themselves from the stalking paparazzi?
