Watching the debates Saturday night - both the Republicans and the Democrats, I was astonished that the Republican???s seemed to be going through the motions, but they didn???t have anything real to offer the voters - they seemed strangely detached from the American people. Its as if they were from another planet. Not able to either understand the problems average American???s are facing. I would not trust any of the Republicans to deal with the Mideast Conflict, Global Warming, Health Care, Outsourcing, Education or any other issues we face today...they are running on empty - and they are the party that gave us George W. Bush!

The Democrats as a whole, have been up to the task in facing problems here in America. Barack Obama is very Presidential, and would make a fine Chief Executive if given the chance. It would also send America and the world a positive message of the American culture that ideals are more important then the pigmentation of one???s skin. We need intelligent leadership, not only of one person, but a team, if we are to unsnarl the mess left by the Bush - Cheney administration. We can???t afford any more idiots in the White House - after eight years of George W. Bush - I think everyone can agree, the country is a mess. I still question whether Obama has the ability as to experience - but if he win???s the upcoming Democratic Convention, then I???m more than happy to give him my vote in the General Election. However, Hillary does offer the experience of the Washington beltway, and her husband???s successful Presidency. Whoever wins the Obama - Hillary contest, the other should accept the Vice Presidency - we need an intelligent team in the White House, and having both Obama and Clinton on the Democratic Ticket would indeed provide a winning leadership American???s are in desperate need of.

I agree. What is more important is that Obama is appealing to people's emotions, and that he is one of the greatest orators in history. The real question people should ask is, "How will he do in the New Hampshire Debates?" Obama has not proven himself to be a great debater, but his campaign staff is working hard to get him riled up in the debates, to appeal to people's emotions while being the extremely intelligent person that he is, gruaduating first in his class from Harvard Law School.

"There are hints that Obama in a general election campaign would be ill-equipped to withstand the inevitable GOP barrage of attacks on his admitted past drug use, his left-of-center record, and his exotic ethnic background." These are very, very weak arguments.

THESE ARGUMENTS WILL NOT BRING HILLARY VICTORY. OBAMA represents a movement that is positive. The Hillary camp needs to keep their gloves on and open their minds to reality. Americans do not like your style of politics. . If the American people do not like you, they will not vote for you. They just don't get it. These are the issues Hillary needs to address, security. foreign policy, and the middle class. Handling GOP attacks is nothing for OBAMA. If you CAN HANDLE HILLARY YOU CAN HANDLE ANYBODY.

THE HILLARY CAMP is in denial. They need to listen to the PeoPle. Look how the HILLARY CAMP Have already began talking negative about Iowans. THE HiLLARY CAMp TURNED ON IOWANS.Trying to insinuate that they rarely Pick a President. Iowans are smart and never trusted the Clinton CamP that is why she came in Third. After all the TIME AND MONEY they spent in Iowa, the Hillary camp is now denying the importance ot the IOWA. They should been more humble and thank IOWA for teaching them their first lesson in the new .politics of change. Although the MESSAGE was sent loud and clear, The Hillary Camp did not hear it. They have insulted every Iowan that voted for them with those comments. This is the divisivness that democrats are tired off. There is a lot of bitterness in the Hillary camP, they refuse to recognize the movement behind OBAMA. They should embrace it. If Hillary had a good relationship with Al GORE WHY has he not endorsed her. If your own former vice president does not endorse you, that means you have "relationship" issues. Obama has not flip flopped, he has run a focus and postive campaign. He does not keep flipping the script. His speech was from the HEART In Iowa and Americans believe him. Hillary's camp does not understand that people want a new kind of politics. Her tactics might have worked in the ninety's but it does not work now. THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT OBAMA WILL BE THE NEXT president.

Since Martin Luther king, we have not been blessed to witness the inifinite love and mercy of the Lord uptil now. If the primary and the general election is just to choose the best candidate to bring change and hope then Obama is the guy!!!.
Having said that change and hope are dreams emanating from the human subconscience, the link between our soul and our creator. How strong does Obama believes the Lord have choosen him to lead his tired folks back into believing this nation is still the light on the hill.
Hillary destroyed herself by one stupid, unthinking, uncritical remark, the driver's license position which unfortunately Obama too supported but was very lucky nobody took him up for. How come such an intelligent and experienced politician make such a poor political judgement and error?.how could you both fail to see he link between drivers license and future terrorists threats against America?.
You can be the most inspiritional, authentic change agent and wonder kid but what use will that be when you will blown up by terrorists just because you got carried away or was careless as you were on that fateful debate. From now on be very, very careful about what you say.Think through every word you say before you say it.I wished somebody said that to Hillary before that debate and Obama youare at that position and moment .Any blunder, any misplaced opinion, you are done. I believe the Lord has choosen you to lead his folks but he going to test your faith in Him first, then what you say and do.If you prove your faith Joseph, Mosses, David and our Lord Jesus, you will be the next President. What hapens depends on you and only you and I pray for you that the Lord gives you faith, wisdom and strength.God Bless you !!!.

Good judgement is a must have if someone is to become an effective leader let alone presiding over a powerful nation as the USA. Many people have been playing seek and hide in the Wihite House for years and Hillary is not the exception. What experience of real policy issues is she real claiming? what does she really know about standing up for the average man? please give me a break..we are not prepared for a clinton's dynasty...we are a bunch of new generation thinktank. Again, I dont vote, I dont live in your Extraordianry Country. But please elect a president with some experience as it does matter to the rest of the world. Times are complicated now a message of hope without any backbone will not help the world right now. Look what has happened to the world with an American President with no experience. Of course the Republicans want Obama, they want to run against him it is a lot easier for them. I also like Mr. Obama, but I read every piece of interview and at the end their is nothing really said. Because he has nothing but carisma and maybee after going thru this marvouleus process he will mature in the meantime he has to not only to smile and market himself as change but he has to answer questions about how he is to bring this change. To this moment I do not see anything being said by him that gives me confident answers for this complicated world. I hope the media and the american voters start asking him to answer the questions.

it's our media keeping those answers from the light of day

If you have the time, please check out Mr. Obama's campaign web site. He gives specific answers to hard questions, acknowledges that he doesn't know everything (who does, except Bush!), and asks for feedback from American people. I believe that these characteristics come from sincere leadership. His past votes on the congressional floor also give insight into his belief system. He is the only candidate, from everything I have read, that has stayed consistent in his value system. But, my number one reason why I believe he will be the best president of the USA, is because he gives people honest, real answers, not what he believes they want to hear.

yup the same media who neglects to say how our supposed third place winner [Edwards] get his funds. He placed second and his 2.7 million came from "We the People" ONLY, no PAC funds no special intrest no corp funds just third party checks ie: Mr and Ms to J-Edwards ONLY! So please don't judge the American people by the media as they are bought and paid for take the F.N.C.

so much for our media! On top of the FACT, FOX hired Oliver North the composer of the Iran-Contra scandle whom the president forgot? Or our arming funding and training of what Bhutto warned H.W.Bush we were creating a FRANKERSTEIN! Hussain paid with his life for taking a shot at Jr. father! imagin what his reaction to, a woman, who jumped his case! During the dark days of the Not so Cold War! The media in our country has its own agenda and it shows when they speak of our Presidential hopefulls!

Hilary touts her experience as a reason for electing her. Hmmm- what has her experience done for our country up to now? She voted for Iraq- was that an example of her lauded experience? She failed miserably in health care reform.
She can't even maintain her own people- with all the negative barbs going out towards Barack- push polling in Iowa, sleazy lying emails. She shrugs and plays the innocence card. Wow, she can???t even control her campaign staff- how could she handle being in the Whitehouse?

Over the last 8 years I have earned my degree in Boston, lived in Washington D.C., studied in Europe, and now currently work in Central America. I believe there are many people back home who don't fully understand the negative impact George Bush has had on our nation's credibility and image for common decency throughout the rest of the world. Barack Obama is someone who truly can restore the America we savor.

It strikes me as seriously odd that, on the one hand, people complain about Obama being unseasoned and lacking experience, and then on the other complain when he and other candidates surround themselves with people from previous administrations who ARE seasoned and DO have experience. Can't have it both ways, folks. For my part, I am looking for someone with fresh ideas, new approaches and the ability to lead, who also has the wisdom to consult others who have been around the block many times successfully and have weathered similar challenges in the past. Then, after those consultations, I want a president to be able to apply his/her fresh approach while considering the input from seasoned advisors, to blend the best of both worlds. Heaven forbid we end up with another occupant of the Oval Office who surrounds himself/herself with no one but childhood buddies, hometown neophytes and political operatives. Let's have some balance, strength, common sense and wisdom for a change. Perhaps too tall an order, but one can wish...

Hillary Clinton needs to get Albright out of sight. It looks silly to say you want change and then have Albright over your shoulder. Also, you have one week. YOu have no chance until FEBRuary FIFTH. SO start talking their talk from now. You tried to hard in Iowa. You were reactionary. Forget want these nerds are telling you and just tell us what you can do. Those are your strengths Hillary you strong heart, determination. However, your ego has left you in an embarassing situation, again. THis is not good. Your advisor's will tell you to play the race card. Hey it got O.J. OFF. However in this case you need courage, you need to show your courage. What are you going tomorrow. Talking about yesteryear will get you third place everytime. Talk about yourself and all the qualities you possess, forget about what you opponents are doing and concentrate on the people. As you can see the media will turn on you in a second. Good luck.

But little attention has been paid to perhaps one of the most important aspects of the candidates: their advisers, the men and women who likely form the backbone of the candidate???s future cabinet if elected president. Many of the names will be familiar.

Advisers to Hillary Rodham Clinton include many former top officials in President Clinton???s administration: former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former National Security Adviser Samuel Berger, former UN Ambassador Richard Holbrooke. Senator Barack Obama???s list includes President Carter???s National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, former counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke, former Middle East negotiator Dennis Ross.

Rudolph Giuliani???s advisers include Norman Podhoretz, one of the fathers of the neoconservative movement. John McCain???s list of official and formal policy advisers includes former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, General Colin Powell, William Kristol of The Weekly Standard, and former CIA Director James Woolsey. One of Mitt Romney???s top advisers is Cofer Black, the former CIA official who now serves as vice chair of Blackwater Worldwide. Vice President Dick Cheney???s daughter Elizabeth is advising Fred Thompson.
As for Mike Huckabee, it???s not clear. In December, Huckabee listed former UN Ambassador John Bolton as someone with whom he either has ???spoken or will continue to speak,??? but Bolton then revealed the two had never spoken. Huckabee also named Richard Allen, but the former National Security Adviser also admitted he had never spoken to Huckabee.
