I think what US and other Western powers are failing to understand how their man in Pakistan is fooling them around. It is a very well known fact that during the cold war, Jihadist elements in Afghanistan were breed through the patronage of Pakistan Army and for years these elements remained under the strict contril of them. It can not be discounted that even after the end of that cold war era, these elements may be still working under the influence of those very same element who evolved them. What world need to decide now is to make a choice that the man who they chose to fight thier war against terror is capable of fighting them or not. We have seen money has been pouring into Pakistan to fight effectively against Jihadist elements but what we are witnessing is the fact that despite this, we are unable to control it. If that is the case then world must look for alternatives to face that challenge. I think we have bet so long on the use of force to eliminate terror. We must find alternative to fight this war for humanity..

Pakistan, whether it was under democracy or dictatorship, has always harbored militancy, be it against Afghanistan, India or the west. Doing so guarantees the survival of its leaders. In the late 80's it was soviet Afghanistan, in the 90's it was Kashmir and now its US and the western world. Seeing so much turmoil in this country, all I can say it that they have dug their own grave and I see Pakistan breaking up into several independent states - Sindh, Baluchistan, Waziristan and Punjab in the near future. Their leadership have no long term goals and all they inculcate is hatred in their madrassas - the so called religious schools.

Thanks again to the news media for making famous yet another terrorist! Print there names, publish their pictures. Nothing gives them more incentive to continue with renewed vigor and zeal and give inspiration to thousands more to commit such crimes. The media's actions are tantamount to being accessories to this continued slaughter of innocent men, women, and children.

I more or less agree with you in theory, but ALL that you and I know come through the media. If it weren't for the media (good and bad) we wouldn't know what was going on anywhere, period! It all depends on what and who one chooses to believe.

Watching Hillary in the debate, all I could think of was Bill Clinton's terrorism policy. She talked about firing cruise missles 1000 miles out at sea, getting the UN to approve before doing anything and ensuring that no countries are upset with us....We found out this does not work and the mess it made with 9/11....Don't let history repeat itself..

I watched Hillary last night and see sounded like hubby Bill when it came to fighting terrorism. She talks about firing cruise missles 1000 miles outand see, waiting for the UN to help and trying to not upset anyone. Let's face it, it did not work....And we seen 9/11 the mess it brought to us....

It amazes me that people think that they can just invade a country whenever they please. I love the liberals who think that Bush made a huge error by invading Iraq and should have gone to the UN again. But Pakistan a NUCLEAR powered country can be invaded whenever we want, without UN sanctions, because the same intelligence they claim was faulty about Iraq will be accurate about Pakistan. I'd like someone to clarify why that's OK.

Pakistan is not Iraq and its weapons are not for use against West specially. Pakistan started its nuclear programme to counter India and bring in balance of power in the region and secondly who ever believes that Pakistan's nuclear aresnal can fall into the hands of extremist is grossly devoid of the realities. Most of the Jihadist in Pakistan's tribal areas do not even know how to speak operate a laptop so you can safely assume that they will rarely develop capability of handling the Nukes untill and unless they are being provided expertise by a Nuclear capable nation and none of Muslim country is nuclear capable so you can very clearly imagine from where this divine help will come to them.. It will be West itself...

It's amasing that there are people who believe the US and the "EVIL BUSHWACKER" are responsible for all the worlds ill. I admit the US has not fought against terrorist as I wold have. Do a little research on how terrorist were kept in check prior to the Viet Nam war. I beleieve the congress would have the entire CIA in prison using todays morals yesterday. These problems will never be retified as long as we deal with Islamic countries and alow them into the west. It's the culture, stupid!

Ayman Al-Zawahiri came to the US in 1990 and 1995. Ali Mohamed, Osama's chief security officer, brought him in. Ali Mohamed had confessed to belonging to al-Qaeda in 1993, to an FBI agent, who called in DOD, when Ali started pinpointing terrorist training camps in Afghanistan. All this is in "Triple Cross", by
Peter Lance. Who knows so much about what "Bait-us" is doing now, but nothing about what was happening in the U.S?

When Bush went into Iraq , I, an ordinary person told anyone who would listen that instead of Iraq ,he should have gone into Pakistan ;with or without Indias help. It is strange that Bush with all his "intelligence "could not have seen this!! Incompetence; thats what it is.

No matter where or at who you want to point the finger at for the many atrocities the Al-Queda have perpetrated on innocents, there is really only one person who must take the blame. George W. Bush A.K.A. the Bushwacker, A.K.A. Triple "B" "BRAINLESS BUMBLING BUSH" Could have and should have followed up on his promise. Quote: "NO MATTER WHERE, NO MATTER HOW, I WILL FOLLOW BIN LADEN TO HELL IF NEED BE TO KILL HIM OR CAPTURE HIM" end of quote. Our military had Bin Laden cornered in the caves in North East Pakistan and we had the technology, "HIGH IMPACT BOMBS" that proved their deadly accuracy during the first Iraq conflict, but the "BUSHWACKER" decided that Afghanistan had no oil only lots of Heroin but Iraq had oil, so he broke his promise to the nearly 3,000 innocents that were murdered in the twin towers, there was (no oil there either) only negligable souls. "BUT IRAQ HAD OIL" a far more important commodity to the Bush family who have their entire fortune tied up in oil futures.
The "BUSHWACKER" GUILTY AS CHARGED, and the MORONIC EVANGELICALS refer to him as the "SON OF GOD"
    WHAT A FU!@#$%^ING JOKE!!!

It seems so easy to blame the west for this or for that when it comes to the war on terror. Regardless of what you wish to believe this threat exists and is ever present in our world. Perhaps a gaze inward at the real cause and effect that terrorist play in our different yet linked systems of of governmental actions is in order. If you really wish to have your country free of the influences from countries such as the United States maybe you should ask yourself "What have I done to rid my country of groups who wish to kill innocent people without remorse in the name of religion". Only ignorance and hatred can promote and inspire these cowards and their acts both theirs and yours! Why are the youth of these countries so eager to end their lives by strapping on a explosive device and murder their own people in hopes of creating more hatred.

Kabura please tell us more of this relationship between Bhutto and Mehsud. Moppet there are enough ignorant people in this world by informing others of the serious nature of these actions does not glorify or promote these men. By the way do you have pictures of Mehsud? If so you can surely use that photo for monetary gain as it would be the only known photo of Mehsud!
