Marine0302: "This country is becoming a third world nation if you look into its ifrastruture, currency, debt, and the way we are seen in the world. I feel bad for these young kids swept up by O'Ba,ma,because they are going to be hurting.Do you think companies like Exxon/Mobile ,Haliburtn are going to loosen their grip with a nubie?"

And you think the people who stood around while all these problems unfolded, aiding and abetting many of them, building up that experience, are the ones to change it? McCain has been a Washington "maverick" since 1977. He thinks the war in Iraq is going great, attempts to pander to some of this nation's most divisive forces, and disvows his own campaign finance reform legislation. Change is one thing this man does not represent.

All the democrat candidates are anti-American. They have demonstrated this by placing their parties interests before that of the USA. Further democrats are basically one step from being communists. That's right, who else demands almost total control of our society by the government? I suggest voter's fear this parties ideal's.
As for O'bama he is not being truthful about his Muslim back ground which should make people highly suspicious of him.

Your name says it all. We aren't supposed to hate anyone. Republicans are not pro America. They are pro rich and powerful. What about all the right wing Republicans who want to tell everyone how they can live? I think you are confused.

You must have been hit with an ignorant stick. You should actually ....forget it.....there is so much that is wrong with your statements it would be obvious to anyone with a brain. Your not worth the time.

I could of voted for Joe Biden, because of his experince.
Also, hillary has the know how,but because of her steel Lady personality people are tuned off. She could do the job.
so ,I'm going republican and vote for Mc Cain. I can't votea word"change" show me.or tell me how to bring about change. I'm from Mo."

I'm sorry, but that's just rank laziness, a total cop out.

    Go to Obama's website: http://www.barackobama.com/issues/

Download all the whitepapers and read about all the plans you want. There are plenty, all articulating what Obama wants to do. IF you actually care, and are not just using the standard empty talking point.

In Barack Obama, the Democrats have found what the Republicans have been seeking for 19 years: the next Ronald Reagan. No other candidate since RR has shown Obama's ability to attract voters from his own party, from the other party, from among Independents, and even from the majority who usually don't vote at all.

Well, Ronald Reagan was a great president, because of the men@ women he selected to help him guide this country.

blaze, I couldn't agree with you more. I was actually a moderate Republican...until I really began paying attention to Obama's message and realized that here is someone special - a President who could actually unify our country and bring back HOPE. I am proud to say that today, I can't WAIT to cast my vote for Obama.

Did the author really say male politicians win over female voters by establishing a magnetic or sexual connection with them? I can't believe the sexist rhetoric circulating around the press these days. I'm a female voter and I can tell you I care about actual issues facing our country and vote accordingly.

Everyone says that special interest will not give up their power . That is a given. Scenerio if Obama is elected and goes after this powerfull lobbyist and the others, Do you think that John Edwards would sit on the sidelines and let Obama fail or do you think they would team up along with the Congress to bring about change. No President gets anything done without his advisor and support staff.
no matter who you elect HRC, John Edwards, Obama or McCain they will have these people to help accomplish their agenda. Am I right?

When all of you have taken your jabs and your kicks and your stabs at Hillary Clinton...I will be elated when you have to eat crow after you have elected the next president. LIke a bunch of baboons on a corn cart, that is what this election preview is to me.
From what I make of it, I will not even cast a vote in order to cast a vote against someone. If Hillary is NOT the Democratic candidate I will not even waste the gyasonline to go to a polling station. But I guess she cut her own throat yesterday, by breaking down in public. Nevermind that the men are a bunch of flipfloppers and no different from any of the liars that stepped into the White House before. Same old same old...mark my words

John Edwards is right--entrenched interests never willingly give power away. The discipline among Republicans in Congress is strictly enforced; they march in lockstep. Congressional Republicans show no signs of being enthralled by Obama; they couldn't care less that Nancy Pelosi is the first woman Speaker ever. Hope that the young people Obama seems to enthrall are willing to work hard on campaigns to vote Republicans out of office.

I wanted to see Hillary stay in the Senate. I know if she would stay in the the Senate, she would be so prowerfull for the things for women and the world that I believe in. I will vote for her, and just getting her back in the White House will put us in good graces with most of the rest of the world, and I know she will be so good, she is so prepared. But if she ends up back in the Senate, I won't feel to sad.

Comment: Barack Obama transcends the field of presidential candidates. His message of hope vs. fear is resonating big time across the country. Millions are awakening to the dawn of a new age for America and the world. He is the Tiger Woods of this campaign. Barack will win later today by 10 to12 shots...I mean percent. Obama '08! Be the change you wish to see in the world! Peace. and so it is.

All the democrat candidates are anti-American. All that they can think of is their parties powers over the best interests of America. Shame on them.

And the Republicans have done what for the last seven years! Shame on them too!

All those religious rights believe marriage for life; then the ultra liberals accuse her of staying in the relationship b/c she had ulterior motives. What about... perhaps.... they might actually love and respect each other? Every marriage has its issues, and some are more complcated than others, but no one outside of their marriage is in a position to judge. Furthermore, Hillary has worked for every "opportunity" she's had. These were not handed to her on a silver platter. I'd like to see any of you work so hard for something you believe in.

    • Posted By: Northbound @ 01/08/2008 2:14:46 AM

Your right enicholson, we as americans have become so obsessed with living our neighbors lives that we seem to forget we have faults of our own.
I live in the south, and if what we have here is religous values I think the majority needs to re-read their bible.
Mind your own business people and don't judge the capability of someone to do a job based on their personal life.
If we're going to judge politicians lets us even up the playing field and look at the people leading our congregations on Sundays or the doctor whom we visit to make us well.
