Record also shows Obama faced with tough choices always gave in to pressure from Bush admin and corporate lobbyists. Obama voted for Bush's energy bill, sending more than $13 billion in subsidies and tax breaks to oil, coal, and nuclear companies. Obama voted with Republicans to allow credit card companies to raise interest rates over 30 percent, increasing hardship for families. "He talks about change but has no real record of making change. Lastly his use of the race card will not play well nationally???

I've paid attention to the issues and followed his campaign for quite some time now. I'm extremely impressed with Senator Obama and he has without question secured my vote. He keeps getting attacked with non-substantive issues...this just reinforces my passion to support him (and I assume others within the country). I do want to see a new kind of politics...it won't happen unless we stand up and fight for what we believe in. I trust that he will follow through on his promises. We can't expect him to be the second coming of Christ but we can expect to see him work at building a positive working relationship with Republicans and Indepedents. I thought Hillary's performance in the ABC debate on Saturday was very good but I have never doubted Hillary's ability to be a skillful debator. She's excellent at that and so is Edwards - but what happens after the debate. People need to walk the walk....he and Edwards are not taking PAC money, lobbyist money and are both obviously committed to putting a line in the sand as it relates to making a stand to change Washington. As Edwards says...these special interests really are "entrenched" in everything we do...but I know that Obama can deliver on his promises. I do not trust that Hillary or any of the Republicans will make this a priority especially since they take money from lobbyists and do not support transparency in government. Hillary would not disclose her earmarks but Obama would. I won't vote for Clinton. I would love to see Obama as President and Edwards as Attorney General. That would be pretty awesome. No offense to Edwards - he just doesn't have the organization built or $$$ to go the distance.

Obama mentioned his church during his appearance with Oprah. (AND since it WAS on her show, then it must be true. Now with her on the campaign trail for him only reinforces that we must look deeper into this.) It's the Trinity Church of Christ. I found this interesting.

Barack Obama is a member of this church and is running for President of the U.S. If you look at the first page of their website, you will learn that this congregation has a non-negotiable commitment to Africa. No where is AMERICA even mentioned.

Notice too, what color you will need to be if you should want to join Obama's church... B-L-A-C-K!!! It doesn't look like his choice of religion has improved much over his (former?) Muslim upbringing.

Strip away his nice looks, the big smile and smooth talk and what do you get? Certainly a racist, as plainly defined by the stated position of his church! And could he be possibly a covert worshiper of the Muslim faith, even today. This guy desires to rule over America while his loyalty is totally vested in a Black Africa!

He talks now about how, if elected he will bring all Americans together across racial, economic and party lines and ???retake??? America!! If he ???preaches??? this to us and he is a strong believer in his faith; then we need to examine his faith and its teaching a lot more closely.

I know politicians usually say one then and actually do things another way, but in this case the ???other??? way to me is extremely dangerous and needs to be investigated and explained clearly.

I cannot believe this has not been all over the TV and newspapers, especially with all the attention with Gov. Huckabee and Gov Romney issues on religion. This is why it is so important to pass this message along.

To think that Obama has even the slightest chance in the run for the presidency, is really scary.

All this talk of "Change" is nonsense. Our current Pres. Geogre W. Bush is doing a great job of things here in U.S. and in every other part of the world. Why a change a good thing? Like the saying goes, "If it ain't broke don't fix it." The only change needed is for brother Jeb Bush to take over reins at the White House.

Maybe America is just tired with things humming along at a nice pace and need some excitement ??? elect a Dem with NO experience but liberal pap and things are sure to liven up.

Hillary Clinton was very strong in the NH debate, problem is she speaks with forked tongue. Everything she said against Obama in the debate was wrong! Obama wasnt in the Senate in 2001 to vote on the Patriot Act. But she was and actually voted for it. When Obama was in the Senate, he with a group of others spoke out against it and only voted for an amendment to make improvements noting it was not yet perfected, however. In another failed attempt to discredit Obama she called a NH chair who endorsed Obama a lobbyist. This chair is not a Washington lobbyist is not Obama staff, and does not fund Obama's campaign. I don't think Obama is shaping up to be another Jimmy Carter, tom pain; George McGovern more like it.

First Hillary gets anointed by the pundit establishment based on her "inevitability" and 35 year's experience as Bill Clinton's wife. Now Obama is anointed based on his (soaring? empty? pick one) rhetoric about change, hope and unity. Famously vitriolic curmudgeons like Frank Rich (who never met a conservative he could stomach) wax euphoric about a right wing, bible-thumping Arkansas homeboy. You know what? You're all nuts. As far as I can see, the one thing those three have in common is their itch to get their hands on the federal purse strings so they can start distributing the spoils in the form of entitlements for health care, child care, college tuition--name your need, Uncle Sugar will provide. And, amazing, all will be done at absolutely no cost to middle and working class Americans (after all, what are the wealthy and entrepreneurial classes and corporate America for if not to provide the means for politicians to solidify their voting blocks) AND while simultaneously balancing the federal budget and eliminating the deficit. All this "populist" fervor makes me laugh. As if it were something new under the sun. Hardly; it's just the same old pig wearing different lipstick. What a way to run a country.

So many of you people need to go back to high school and take 10th grade government again. You seem to be clueless about how laws are enacted and the role of the President in policy formation. Not that you're are necessarily stupid; I understand that the MSM fosters the perception that the President makes laws, but you need to ignore their distortion. They focus on the President because it's easier than trying to hold 400-some odd Congressmen resp;onsible for their corruption.

Andrew Young nailed it - if Obama gets elected, Congress and the bureaucrats will eat him up and the black political possibilities will be set back 20 years. Better that he make a real strong push for the nomination and maybe settle for VP. FYI, no racist here, I'm from a biracial family. It's just the truth.
