There are far too many of you idiots comparing Obama to Bush. "Our enemies would see that and walk all over us" (reffeting to Obama being weak).... HEY RETARD! Our current enemies don't see women in the same light they see dogs! Obama or any man would never look as weak to them as a woman president!

I won't vote for him, looks like the republicans have done it again. Security and real effective change is too fightening for the powerful lobby's. She is a threat. We are in a precarious situation right now and need quality work and dedication, not someone who likes to hear himself talk, on an ego trip. That is what Bush was about. We deserve the best, not razzle dazzzle. We are the best. I will vote Republican if he is the democrat nominee, go with what you know. We are involved in a serious war.

Typical crippled by fear reaction. Where are all the real Americans at? Please don't bother to call yourself an American if you don't intend to make personal sacrifices for our country and are consumed by fear to act on the principles and idealism this country was founded upon. You are not an American, you are a just a person taking up American land and air. America has been the leading world power because Americans empower themselves; WE are the ones who are gonna make it happen.

i am from iowa.....i watch comments writen by people to their local papers. They are filled with people who crossed over and voted Democrat....as an anti Hillary vote. They think it is funny. They write....anyone but Hillary in the Office. They have no intention of voting for him in the general election. They just dont want to run against Hillary. If you doubt this...pull up some of the local Iowa papers....and read comments in the blog sections.

DID THE REST OF THE WORLD WALK ALL OVER JFK, A SIMILARILY INEXPERIENCED PRESIDENT PREACHING A SIMILAR MESSAGE? GOD HELP US IF THE BUSH-CLINTON DYNASTY CONTINUES. TWENTY YEARS AND COUNTING.

      Michelle is no Jackie O.

    • Posted By: SickofElectonAlready @ 01/07/2008 9:01:53 PM

It was Bush for `12 and Clinton for 8. Lets not lump them both together, it isn't fair.

      • Posted By: av3who @ 01/07/2008 9:13:20 PM

i think it is perfectly fair. the fact matter is two families have been "leaders of the free world" for 20 years. if hillary gets two terms and little jebby runs it could turn into 30+. Thats exactly what the founding fathers had in mind. in case you dont remember your history lesson, george washington turned down a guaranteed third term. he realized power corrupts. he did his thing and then passed the reins gracefully. BUSH-CLINTON DYNASTY. 20 YEARS AND COUNTING.

Hillary Clinton is decietful, corporate-sponsored and overly confident. She has achieved little in what she claims to be years of experience. She continues to take millions from large corporations and as a human rights law student I am well aware of the fact that she sponsors corporations which provide children in the developing world with genetically modified foods; these foods are hugely damaging to their health and esentially rob of them of all chances to thrive. I don't think she geninuely cares about the American people.

  • Posted By: at_peace @ 01/07/2008 9:35:53 PM

Hillary Clinton is decietful, malicious and frankly, overly confident in herself. She has achieved little for what she claims to be years of experience and her campaign tactics are negative and cynical.

  • Posted By: SickofElectonAlready @ 01/07/2008 3:03:50 PM

If Clinton is shut out by Obama there will be a tear in the demoractice party that he can't repair and he will never win with in the general election only some of the democrates behind him. I for one will vote republican if he shuts Clinton out. He can't win with the Republicans and some of the democrates voting republican. I am for Hillary Clinton and if Obama shuts her out I'll vote for McCain.

    • Posted By: SickofElectonAlready @ 01/07/2008 3:18:29 PM

I mistyped democrats as democratee and democrates. Thought I would point this out before everyone else does. I can spell just not type when I am passionate about a subject.

      • Posted By: ClassyChic @ 01/07/2008 9:29:02 PM

I'm with you pal. I've always voted Democrat 95% of the time and Green 5% of the time in local elections so you can imagine where I stand on the political spectrum and I WILL NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA. It's partly because I don't believe he can do the job and partly because I love HIllary Clinton too much to vote for anyone but her and a lot of other Clinton supporters feel the same way. Many of us will go independent as I plan to do. If she doesn't win I'll write her in or I'll vote for Bloomberg. Yes, I am a MINORITY, VERY LIBERAL, and so far a DEMOCRAT.

Obama is correct. You don't clean dirt with dirt. clean dirt with clean. That is the right thing to do. It is change!

    • Posted By: SickofElectonAlready @ 01/07/2008 8:04:40 PM

Obama is all talk. I am from Illinois, I have seen this first hand.

      • Posted By: OldGamer007 @ 01/07/2008 9:11:09 PM

"Believe me" doesn't work anymore, being we are in the information age now with the internet and everything. "Show me", I'm sure you can provide links to articles in local newspapers, etc...

You all sound like the sheeple that the richest one percent need to keep them in charge. Their lobbyists and special interests pay candidates like Bush and Clinton an insane amount of money so their pupet candidate can keep the status quo. This year its about people finally coming out in record numbers to believe we can have a government of the masses not of the richest. Obama is a self made man who appeals to people of all classes, races and Parties. When he gets nominated you will see a landslide of support. If it wasn't for Edwards splitting the change vote, Hillary would be getting run out of town 70% to 30%. I hope Edwards is Obama's running mate. Even as a former Republican and current Libertarian who caucused for Obama in Iowa, that would be a dream team for the ages. Sean

OOOH you all have been fun, yes his middle name is Hussein, its great that he is black, and pretty good, not good enough though, give me something better because we have it we are made of it. Don't promise me ambiguity and change to WHAT? I don't bite the first line thrown out, Ferraro didn't win. Don't promise the daughter of a colonel, and a military family more deployment, he's a charismatic nut, hey I'm from LA see it all the time. Good luck.

Do any of you know what has been going on in washington DC before your precious OBAMA OSAMA showed up? The type of partisanship created by the Republican Mafia has never been seen before and has infiltrated sacred parts of the government that were off limits before? This is the type of knowledge necessary to root this evil where it is hiding in the corner of the halls of justice, the lobbyists, and even the EPA! It will take someone who is not a wide eyed inexperienced doe slap happy speaking of how great he is,to once again clean the place up and bring it into fiscal health, this is our ECONOMIC health we are thinking of here. A little reality is necessarry, experience is necessary to effect REAL CHANGE> not just the attemp at change.

    • Posted By: av3who @ 01/07/2008 7:14:15 PM

hey tara dont forget his middle name is hussein!!! namecalling, how childish

      • Posted By: tarainla @ 01/07/2008 8:35:42 PM

what then is his middlename, it really is Osama, Take that and run all the way to our next planned invasion of Afghanistan, courtesy of Barrack, he did definitely express his desire to fight the real war. Get ready for more deployments, THE NEVER ENDING WAR!!!

I just reviewed more posts on this board and it seems that a number of posters have no idea what they re talking about. Again...

REGARDING OBAMA'S RELIGION: HE IS NOT A MUSLIM, AND ANYONE WHO THINKS SO IS DEAD WRONG. TRY READING THE NEWS INSTEAD OF THE ILL-INFORMED SPAM SITTING IN YOUR INBOX.

    • Posted By: tarainla @ 01/07/2008 8:25:45 PM

Why should I go looking for it let me know where ye stand dear Obama. Personally denounce Allah. Lets get 'cha all mad crazy Obama people but honestly why has he not openly spoken to my curiosity, Muslim American's ARE a curiosity, just as Mormons and Catholics are to some. I mean we are in an idealogical war to an extent with Muslims how can I vote for a Muslim man for PRESIDENT, this is not the 60's. I'm not that kind of girl. I am a realist.

  • Posted By: adam in iowa city @ 01/07/2008 7:42:29 PM

The Obama/radical Muslim smear campaign has been thoroughly debunked. Only ignorant and mean spirited bigots are still dredging this up. Here's a link to a reputable source dispelling this myth once and for all: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp

    • Posted By: tarainla @ 01/07/2008 8:17:55 PM

This is an unaddressed question please, silenced by reactionaries who cannot handle the realities of a country steeped in christianity, a country that believe that catholics are radical, relax person.

  • Posted By: SickofElectonAlready @ 01/07/2008 8:06:48 PM

Your right it is time for a change, time for Obama to me more than just talk.

  • Posted By: josolcssr @ 01/07/2008 7:59:31 PM

Obama is correct. You don't clean dirt with dirt. clean dirt with clean. That is the right thing to do. It is change!

A great speaker does not make one a great leader, I have watched every debate, I mean every one and you know I still don't know what the man stands for. I think he is whatever the going trend says he should be. He has never taken a stand and his votes in the Senate prove it, what the f..k does PRESENT mean, does it mean I don't want to vote because I don't know the issue or is it so he doesn't offend anyone. He is not going to help this country I see big trouble w/ him. I wish I could move..He's another Bush but better spoken.

  • Posted By: RED_WHITE_BLUE @ 01/07/2008 7:46:16 PM

Wow, what IGNORANCE-- Vi3482 's well-meaning but unevolved idea that standing for a 'Ray of Hope' qualigies someone to be PRESIDENT - Wake Up, ... This is the EXACT SAME THING People Said About George Bush ' a 'Ray of Hope' for CHANGE - SUCH STRONG SENTIMENT WAS ENOUGH TO STEAL THE ELECTION FROM GORE - VERY DANGEROUS THINKING...............-

  • Posted By: Christopher Henry @ 01/07/2008 7:37:50 PM

Cadre57: Obama is not a Muslim, and never has been. Why the bigots in this country cannot seem to comprehend that is beyond me. Obama is no more Muslim than Clinton, McCain, Romney, or any of the others, and it shouldn't matter what religion he is anyway if he has no history of making poor choices as a result of it. I do not agree with Huckabee's breathless adherence to the Bible as a science book, but he did not use the governorship to redact evolution from the text books or lock up biologists.

  • Posted By: Vi3482 @ 01/07/2008 7:35:30 PM

Wow, what ignorance-- "Cadre57" and others that think along those same closed-minded lines. Senator Obama offers a ray of light in this dim, dank world of politics. I definitely support him, as an educated man of fortitude, honor, and principle. He definitely has my vote. I am an educated, determined, African American Woman-- that works hard, believes in my country, and want to see the government truly work for its people, all people. I believe Senator Obama is the man for the job. Chage is coming!
