The Huckabee Problem

Comment: I'm confused as to how Mr. Fineman can say in his article that Huckabee "does not believe in the science of evolution but does believe that the Bible is pretty close to literally true" and then go on to say, "and to them I say, let us turn to Paul's Letter to the Galatians, chapter six, verse seven, in which he writes: 'For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.'" So .. let me try to understand his logic. First, he says that Huckabee is wrong to believe the Bible in Genesis when it tells of Creation, and then he goes on to quote Galatians to prove Huckabee - and Genesis - is wrong? Just using ORDINARY logic and the human brain to reason things out, it seems to me that if he believes Galatians in the Bible enough to quote it as Truth, then he should believe ALL OF THE BIBLE as well. How can he throw out Genesis and count it as false, deciding in his own human "wisdom" that he knows better than God? Mr. Fineman, were you present during creation and do you know all the facts? How are you able to use Galatians like you know what you're talking about and slam Huckabee for believing in Genesis?? Here's a Bible quote for you, and reading it, you should shake in your boots Mr. Fineman: 2 Peter 2:1 "But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them???bringing swift destruction on themselves."

You know, I guess since ya'll aint from Arkansas, ya'll aint really heard what Hillary is REALLY about. She is about control, voting her husband as "roaming ambassador of the US", who do you think floats her fiances...CHINA, duh. I hear all this rhetoric about Huckabee, you should have lived here when Clinton was in power. Hillary is weak when it comes to National Defense, you think our military will be strong under her, she backed her own husband when he changed the rules of engagement, lowered our national defences...SHE BACKED HIM, and you think she will be stronger than Huckabee, yeah when pigs fly backwards, or fly period for that matter.
Huckabee is a great person, personally and politically. His ideas come across across to others as being "evangelical", maybe, but ten years ago you would have called them "good wholesome foundations of morality, " and now...Christian. He did a good thing for Arkansas as governor (domestic issues), and has led the governors association on many things concerning raising the bar on education (yeah even in Arkansas we can read and rite):) , also about our health care for children, Clinton didnt do this, Huckabee did. learn his background as a leader for all of your states, learn what he HAS accomlished before judging his "Christian values"
I was at his inagural ball the first time he won governor of Arkansas, hes a baptist preacher yeah, he doesnt dance, yeah but he an play the guitar and watch everyone dance. he was good, even though that day was about him, he didnt push his beliefs on everyone else. Spirituality is a personal belief system, and he is upstanding to even an Aethist like me when it comes to great morals and ethics....you decide.

I don't have as big a problem with Huckabee's religious roots as I do with his ethical violations. He destroys government hard drives, takes money for speeches from special interest groups, sets up a gift registry when leaving office, tries to steal furniture from the governors mansion. There is a reason Judicial Watch named him one of the ten most corropt politicians alond with mainly democrats like Reed and Pelosi.

Even though I support McCain I would have no problem voting for a Christian, but like many religions some are more extreme than others. It seems many Evangelicals believe the Apocalypse is right around the corner (check out the "Left Behind Series" of books, including books for kids!). Is this what Huckabee believes? If elected would he need to see the prophecy of Armageddon through? Would he feel the need to aggresively spread The Word to other non-Christian nations? These are the most extreme examples of what makes me nervous about him would need to know more about his beliefs before I would consider voting for him. There are already enough people dying in the world in the name of God.

Graduated 5 FROM BOTTOM OF CLASS at Naval Academy. Lost his plane. Got caught by the enemy. Has a bad templer. Has had 2-3 wives. Wrote a terrible bill limited our freedoms and freedom of the press (McCain-Feingold). Like to party and work with liberals like Edward Kennedy. Supported Amnesty bill. Trashes Bush. Party to SCANDALS like the REIT Scandal.

Wow, look at all the evangelicals squirm like the poor Mormons who have been taking all the hits lately. Isn't it interesting what happens when you attack with a two edged sword- you can get slain with the same sword you are swinging. As predicted, by taking all the issues out of the contest and attacking a person's ability to serve based on his or her religious beliefs, the Republican party is going to become so divided that almost any Democrat will look better than the Republican choice. Who would want a washed up actor, a maniac veteren, or a person who earns a living by taking money from church goers and is from Arkansas. Not me, those men do not exemplify my idea of living the American dream.
