Point one: Men have emotions too. It's less socially acceptable for them to display them.
Point two: Most women learn at a very young age to cry on command when it helps them get their way. (Ask any police officer.) This may be a political (rather than emotional) move.

Oh please. Hillary is an accomplished actress. Didn't you see her "performance" over the Monica Lewinski fiasco??? Is she going to hire women to give slick willy blow jobs in the white house?

Do you really believe Obama is not an actor? I think he is better than most. His constant lectures sound so good and his boasts of change are going to be hard to fill. There have been other president's voted in for their supposed "new" ideas and promises of change and are now in the history books as some of our most failed presidencies. The cynicism displayed shows why you are a follower of the hype.

There's no crying in politics!!! THERE'S NO CRYING IN POLITICS!?!

All I can say, is God help us..."If another Republican is voted into office." The war on terrorism will continue for another four years, the poor will get poorer and the rich will be fat and happy - until civil unrest. The Republicans had their chance, and now we are in the brinks of a recession. Social security is at its end and health care for us common folks "the same people that keep your pockets full" are more then ready to take a stand. Republicans who are so afraid of paying more taxes...Because you can afford it. But at the same time feel you shouldn???t have to pay for us less fortunate. We less fortunate help keep you in you higher tax bracket, keep this Country running. If the rich had to fight this so called war on terrorism, the war would have been over before it started!

bradgray71 - So you're saying our current President is qualified to be in office???

  • Posted By: hannokirk @ 01/07/2008 10:48:53 PM

Responding to Silent America. Please keep your repeated venomous comments off this webstite. Throwing around words like "socialist" is so passee. It just shows your own inadequacy.

  • Posted By: rmidkiff1407 @ 01/07/2008 10:21:27 PM

You think Hillary will close the gap between the rich and poor? Her social programs will run everybody broke! You realize that jobs are created by the rich and if they are paying more taxes it will cause for less money to be invested in the future. HIllary would be a disaster for the county. Don't buy into this pity move after she got beat by Obama and Edwards.

    • Posted By: noelleecc @ 01/07/2008 10:48:28 PM

I disagree, I believe the rich will become richer because of the poorer will be healthier and less stressed and be able to preform too their daily duties, knowing that they are covered healthwise. Heatuals more production, "its is in the employers best interest."
As far as Hillary being a sucker by turning the other cheek, while Mr. Clinton had his affair and still supporting him, shows her chractor shows her resiliance as a leader. She was able to turn the other cheek and continue to be strong. Bush meanwhile, felt the need to continue his fathers war...wouldn't we be better off if he would have turned the other cheek and solved our problems at the home front inst

  • Posted By: SilentAmerica @ 01/07/2008 10:48:06 PM

It would be nice to have a president that can make the tough decisions George W. Bush made following 911. We came together as a nation for a matter of hours. Then the libs started blaming the president and said it was America's fault. I wish these libs would go find their own country. move north to Canada or south to Mexico. South America and Cuba really love you guys. I'll help you pack.

  • Posted By: crysnew @ 01/07/2008 10:47:26 PM

Do you really think that the other candidates would get misty eyed if they thought that America would consider continuing with the Bush-Clinton dynasty? No, they would suck it up and "take it like a man". Or as someone eloquently put it, "There's no crying in baseball"

  • Posted By: Muggs @ 01/07/2008 10:46:25 PM

Hillary Clinton is the ONLY Candiate that is experienced enough to be not just President but an Extremely Good President. I hope the people of the United States wake up we sure as hell dont need 4 more years of do nothing politics . Hillary YOU ROCK GIRL !!

  • Posted By: mfenwick @ 01/07/2008 10:46:02 PM

WHINE WHINE WHINE! Cry all you want Hilary; you'll still beat Osama, I mean, Obama. America is not ready for an African-American president, plain and simple. Besides, you'll lose the election anyway. America claims it wants change but when it comes to actually doing what it takes to make things change they back out.

I am really suprised how the democrats are supporting a rookie like Obama for such an important post which not only influences this nation but also the whole world. It is not a post for which u can gamble for a rookie. I hear a lot against her policies. what is the problem with social equality. was not all human beings born equally. Or a person who was born to a wealthy parents born differently. Stop loving ur individuality for the common good. Be collective in ur efforts to make a stronger nation. Dont worry if u pay extra taxes today. It is for the good of some one needy tommorrow (It may be for you if fortunes change) rather than for some 'siphoning the oil land' war.

It's not too late for me! Crying is not only a sign of weakness it is a sign of compassion. She's as tough
as nails and can run this country. This country will be in a sorry state if Obama gets in. He has a Muslim
middle name. His mother and father were Muslim and he is playing it down. Where did he come from.
There are pic's of him not saluting our flag ........that was not a hoax. Wake UP America!

      • Posted By: militarybrat @ 01/07/2008 10:45:45 PM

Obama's parent's were not muslim nor actually is he. His father may have been (certainly not fundamental because of his marrage choice) or came from a muslim background, but his mother was athiest and he belongs to the United Church of Christ.

To Happy2behappy. You may recall that our current President has become emotional on more than one occasion. In fact, he once was quoted as saying that his family kids one another about being "the weepers". So this one brief moment of emotion has absolutely nothing to do with Sen. Clinton's, or any other woman's, qualification for office.

  • Posted By: grantzy @ 01/07/2008 10:42:24 PM

ALL AMERICANS SHOULD UNDERSTAND BY THIS ARTICLE AND VIDEO THAT THIS "PERSON" HAS BEEN SACRIFICING FOR FAR TOO MANY YEARS NOT TO BE LISTENED TO AND TO BE GIVEN THE CHANCE TO LEAD. FOR MANY GENERATIONS WOMEN HAVE BEEN HELD BACK. CLINTON HAS TAKEN NUMEROUS BEATINGS AND YET STILL EMERGES CARING AND TRIUMPHANT!!

  • Posted By: ericl @ 01/07/2008 9:51:42 PM

The Clinton haters, you guys are heartless. Clinton is the most genuine and kind hearted people you will ever see. She genuinely cares about the average people.
I used to be one of the small group of people called unitefamilies.org. We all have green card but we are not citizens yet. But because of the restrictions of the immigration law, we could not bring our spouses over to this country only as a green card holder.
We spent a few years fighting for the rights to be together with our other halves. We send emails/faxes to our congressman, senators, but nobody cared because we don't have the right to vote. These people include Obama. We didn't get anything out of him!
Until we contacted Mrs. Clinton. She flew a few of us to Washington DC to meet her (unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet her myself, otherwise that would be the glorious moment of my life) and she was so sympathetic for us. Later she tried to put an amendment to the comprehensive immigration bill and even had a news conference with a few of us. Even though the bill failed in the senate because of a republican blockage, I am forever thankful for what she did.
What would Senator Clinton gain by helping us? Nothing! we are a very small group and have no rights to vote. Why? Because she has the most beautiful heart.
Now I have become a citizen, I will go down the same road with her no matter how tough it is going to be, no matter how long it is going to be.
    God bless her!

To ericl: Before you let the fox into the henhouse, you should read more about the history of this country. There are books about Hillary Clinton you should read, or have read to you, before you follow her down the road to Socialism. She may have catered to you at the time because it was politically expidient for her, but in the long run, she'll do whatever she wants to, and your situation will be a faded memory. My American family line goes all the way back to the Revolutionary War, so please, take my word for it. She's for Hillary, not for you. Sorry.

      • Posted By: AUGIE611 @ 01/07/2008 10:41:06 PM

Your family line has nothing to do with this. I've read many books on politics in general and have read articles on HIllary and Bill Clinton's political life. Like it or not all people in public life have to make choices and not everyone will agree. Sort it out and vote for the one who really can do the job. Inexperience will not do it. You have no argument.. Do you think any alternative candidate will make a miracle happen? Only knowing the system and the political machines will get things done. Reading about the Clinton's will also make you realize they are intelligent and do know how to play the game to get things done. I, for one, know how much this is needed. How people can just follow in line because others are listening to promises that can't be kept is sad and scary. Not only are you a follower, but you're following young inexperienced people who still believe in fairy tales. Obama's not as pure as you seem to think. Read about him. You may be surprised.

The truth hurts. She is simply doing what all women do when they are rejected ??? cry. Simply another manipulation trick that all women use ??? and we all know it ??? including women. Look at every beauty pageant or any contest where its all women. Without fail, every single one who doesn???t ???get what she wants???, doesn???t win ??? cry???s. This is simply what women do. It is a lack of ability to control emotions which is why there are very few women are fit for office. Sorry if the truth hurts, no offense intended but the truth of the matter is what it is. How many men are out there blubbering because they are loosing? Hillary is NO Margret Thatcher nor does she even rise to the level of a Bhutto. Hillary is simply one more completely self-absorbed Baby Boomer Democrat, created by the media, another empty Democrat ???suit???. And this is basically the way they ALL act. These are the tears of Queen Hillary, the ???inevitable candidate??? who is simply realizing that this election is a total rejection of the Clintons and what the Democrat Party Status Quo has become. In fact ALL the Clintonista???s are feeling the same rejection as the rejection of Hillary is the rejection of them all. The defeat of Hillary is the defeat of them all. And we all know it.

Even if the Republicans lose the election, it will still be a giant victory for Republicans to defeat Hillary since much of this war between the two parties is really a war between the Clintons and the Republican voters. Even Republicans can unite behind Obama ??? not Hillary. So, Hillary loosing may not be to our advantage, but we???ll take it as the nation over party is more important to Republicans and always has been.

    • Posted By: militarybrat @ 01/07/2008 10:40:34 PM

Your comment has both illogical falsehoods and slight hypocrisy in it. Not "all women" respond or act in the same way just as all men do not respond in the same way. People are different and respond in different ways. Then you say that Hillary acted as all women act yet contrast her with another woman. If all women act the same than there can be no contrast or difference.

The only people these candidates are worried about are the people who can help them.. All the candidates have a "what can you do for me" attitde. Here in Manchester, New Hampshire, Hillary and all the fools following her have snarled traffic. My wife's 15 minute ride home from work has now taken her 1 1/2 hours. Thanks Hillary, now her dinner is cold. Again, Thanks, you're gonna get my vote......

and somehow we are respected now for all this mess that is going on in the world...we are on a brink of a couple more conflicts with a few more countries the way that the current administration is going...you're correct, the indiscretion is far more grave than unjust wars...that is far more respectable...I really question your thinking...lets go and bomb a bunch of places, kill thousands of innocent civilians-women and children-all based on a rouse...wow, simply amazing...it is an absolute shame that people are going to the polls with their decisions being made based on personal indiscretions rather than war crimes...sad wow...another great statement making me absolutely scared for the future of our nation and kids...instead of educating yourself on issues and where the candidates stand on those issues you're going to the poll with your decision based on how long it took your wife to get home because of traffic...hopefully you will stay home and not vote because it might take a bit longer for you to get there and throw you off your schedule...it's pretty sad that people have absolutely zero ambition and forethought to research and really look into things in order to make one of the biggest decisions that affects our country...rather, they listen to speeches and how passionate or dispassionate they are not really taking the time to ask the tough questions or checking out if what the speeches contain can be followed by facts...it is sad but true-80% of our population is a bunch of sheep who are willing to be told that it is raining while someone pees on their leg...you should take everything that you are being told by any political party or candidate...you should base your decisions on facts and your own research-actual research not just what you hear in a speech...unfortunately, most people are lazy and will only vote based on what they hear in an ad or during a speech-and the candidates know this and they rely on that sheepish and uneducated behavior of the voters...rather sad in my opinion...I challenge every single one of you-stop espousing to someone or something just because it sound pretty or nice...espouse to it because you've researched it and learned all that you can about it and its opposition, that way you have both sides of the story... state of affairs and I am truly afraid for our futures...

Mrs. Clinton appeared to be speaking from the heart and very genuine. Some people will grasp at anything to make the connection that women are more emotional and that some how makes them less likely to be able to lead this country. She did not appear to be next to tears. Pathetic

What's Hillary gonna do when some Arab state REJECTS her and says they will not "negotiate" with a woman? Will she cry again?

She is crying because she's losing and that is NOT a legitimate reason to cry!

    DEAL WITH IT CLINTONISTAS! HAHAHAHA!
