As far as I am concerned, whoever questions Hillary's tear is heartless.

If you can put yourself on her shoes, you should kow what type of pressure she is under. If I were here, I would have collapsed by now. Being attacked from all cornders--mainstream media, right wingers, Obama supporters and left wingers while she has to focus on appealing to voters day and night. How physically exhaused she must be? How mentally exhaused she must feel?

Should we give her a break and not too hard on her? Isn't she is a human being too?

Let's stick to the "facts", do our homework, research and realize that Hilliary is NOT the answer for our Great Nation.... Not for sure who is at this point, but I know who isn't ready-----HC

          • Posted By: ARChicago @ 01/07/2008 7:41:33 PM

First of all you started it with the name calling. Second of all I always do my research and could probably "fact" you right under the table. If you are discounting Hillary at this point you have not done your research.

Sorry for bargging into what seems like a private despute here. I'm glad you do your research as its important. However, would you mind articulating on them, because your original comment doesn't display study it shows gender bias.

Hilary is the best candidate for the job based on all her experience and knowledge as well as her leadership abilities. It is frightening that the American public cannot distinguish between talk and talent. I feel sorry for Hilary as well as the rest of the American public that may lose Hilary as the democratic candidate. This country's lack of educational system and gross attention to the media has created an environment in which young voters are coming out and picking candidates based on likability alone. Why is it so hard for Obama supporters to see that Hilary wants change just as Obama does, but she also knows how to make it happen and has the experience to back it up. I am truly amazed, angered and frightened about what has happened to the intellectual capabilities of the American people.

Anyone who needs to carry a Kleenex in their purse is unfit for the highest office in the land??? Hmmm...All I can say is that if Bush hasn't shed a few tears in his time in office he certainly should have. I don't know who the best person for the Presidency is but I sure hope they are the one who wins, the US needs it.

    • Posted By: coldstone-lajolla @ 01/07/2008 10:23:19 PM

The real story here is this is the first time Hillary has shown some emotion. Not during a 9-11 ceremony nor during any of her family troubles - but when there is some personal crisis - sounds selfish to me. With her in office we can wait unother 2 hours on a taramack at LAX for her to get her hair done like her selfish husband did 8 years ago. Bring on McCain or Obama...

  • Posted By: enicholson @ 01/07/2008 10:22:23 PM

I think Hillary is without a doubt, the most experienced and articulate candidate out there, and we are lucky she's willing to serve in one of the most difficult jobs in America. Either way - she's criticized as being too hard or too soft. I don't think we should penalize her for showing her human side. As progressive as we are, inflicting this double edged sword shows we are really behind the times.

I saw no tears, what I did see was "honesty, compassion, and concern", for the Country and the American people. A leader who is more then capable of putting together the thoughts, Ideals, and dedication this Country so desperately needs and deserves to get us back on track.
I was all for the war on terrorism, but we have to be just as vigilant in preserving the American way of life, the ideals our forefathers established for us. Rights and freedoms the Bush administration has striped from us.
Thanks to Bush and the Republicans we are now no longer respected as a Nation, and are now hated by the World in whole and will now always be a target of extremism. We need to protect our borders and concentrate on the well being of the Nation, economy and the people of this Blessed Country, we strife so hard to maintain. I find it silly our soldiers can protect other Country???s borders and not are own. Given the choice, I???m voting for a candidate who is real ??? not a puppet.
God Bless you Hillary for showing your human side.

    • Posted By: cbernami @ 01/07/2008 9:49:34 PM

We are not respected because Bill Clinton cheapened the office of President by boinking an intern in the oval office. Then lied to the american people. Then in true lawyer fashion, tried to doubletalk his way out of trouble. Great example. You want that guy in there again? Cause if he couldn't keep his nose clean as president what will he do next as first lady? NO BUSHES NO CLINTONS FIND SOMEONE ELSE.
Even if Hillary had solid ideas, original thoughts, etc. there is just too much baggage.

      • Posted By: aleksiza @ 01/07/2008 10:22:09 PM

and somehow we are respected now for all this mess that is going on in the world...we are on a brink of a couple more conflicts with a few more countries the way that the current administration is going...you're correct, the indiscretion is far more grave than unjust wars...that is far more respectable...I really question your thinking...lets go and bomb a bunch of places, kill thousands of innocent civilians-women and children-all based on a rouse...wow, simply amazing...it is an absolute shame that people are going to the polls with their decisions being made based on personal indiscretions rather than war crimes...sad state of affairs and I am truly afraid for our futures...

The Pledge of Allegiance is the one true symbol and show of loyalty and solidarity for our citizens and our nation. It is the hallmark of the citizens of the United States. ANY person (Barack Obama) who would refuse to say the Pledge of Allegiance should not be considered for one second to be a candidate for the highest office in this country. Obama refused, and we should not even be talking about him.

most of those emails were circulated by people working for hillarys campaign... some have even traced the IP of the sender (of some of those) to her main campaign office. why do you think we only see anti-obama statements (the muslim / alqueda thing, this pledge thing, lies about him in general) and look at how the only people believing them support hillary fanatically and beyond reason.
hillarys a *** snake, im telling you.

This isn't just about "who is ready on day one". This is about knowing where all the bodies are buried on Capitol Hill. It ain't Kansas Toto, and if you are spending most of your time trying to figure out who's behind the scenes pulling the strings, you're too slow to do any good. Our country is on the brink of recession, unemployment is rising, we've been tricked into war, we're wasting our money on the military Industrial complex and we're ignoring our problems at home. Not a job for a light-weight. We need every clear thinker with experience working with Clinton to correct the last 8 years of insanity. Added bonus: We get Bill Clinton's 8 years of experience dealing with both foreign and domestic policy. 2 for 1. No one else can bring all this to the table except Hillary Clinton.

  • Posted By: Spanish_Gypsy @ 01/07/2008 10:19:10 PM

Hilary is absolutely sincere in this video. I believe that she is speaking from the heart. HIllary has battled more unfair discrimination than any of the other candidates (both Democrat and Republican) because she's a woman running for the highest office in the United States. It's time to end prejudice and abuse against women. She is brilliantly intelligent and has the political experience and abilities to lead this country to success.

  • Posted By: Clare830 @ 01/07/2008 10:18:08 PM

How very judgemental of you to decide what she should do as first lady in her marriage. Did they teach you that at your Church? Maybe you are a hypocritical churchgoer. Just a jealous uneducated person with absolutely no class. What woman would have handled that painful life incident with such dignity as the world was watching and judging. I cannot have done it. That was class under great strain something some women never achieve. They stay spiteful. Hillary moved on and continued working for her country.
Your world must be very small to still be so petty and mean and off the importance of the real issues.

Oh please. Hillary is an accomplished actress. Did you not see her performance RE: the Monica Lewinski fiasco with her stupid husband??? Is she going to hire women to give "the first husband" a blow job every day??? I don't think so......

    • Posted By: fortherecord @ 01/07/2008 10:17:37 PM

What a watse of my time reading your comment. I hope this was just ONE stupid blunder on your part. Your staement has nothing to do with this election!

  • Posted By: riomurphy @ 01/07/2008 9:36:19 PM

You're joking right?! She is not in this for you or anyone else but herself! She's a carbon copy of her husband. Look at what HE did for this country! The Clinton's are an embarassment to the United States. They're as bad as the Kennedy's. She's only looking for your vote. Not your best interest or your well being. She is using you, to get into position. That's all! God forbid if she wins, she won't even know that you or unitefamilies.org exists. We mean nothing to her when the election is over.
I am glad that you have become a citizen. Thank you for being an American. Isn't it great that you now live in a country where you can vote for a candidate of your choice, based on your personal feelings and ideas? I am sorry that you support someone who is so self centered and power hungry. You mean nothing to her. You say that she is "genuine and kind hearted". In what way? By pulling the soldiers out of Iraq before the job is done?! That will open so many doors to the terrorists, that it's very frightening to even think about. Or by revamping the tax structure so that those of us w/ 2 incomes (we both need to work to survive), will have to pay into a higher tax bracket?! Or by talking about change. All she says is that she wants to see "Change", but she doesn't say how she is going to do it.
You should really listen to her speeches. Don't just hear it... listen to it. Read between the lines. She is telling you things that you want to hear, but she certainly is not genuine or kind hearted.
I won't tell you who I think you should vote for. You are an American now, and it's your choice. But before you vote for Hillary, please, please, please... think first. This new country that you love so much, and wanted to be a part of, may not be what you were expecting. Think first, and then vote.

    • Posted By: aleksiza @ 01/07/2008 10:17:20 PM

what is it that he did for the country that you do not like...please do not make open blanket statements and not provide any facts or opinions as to why you feel the way you feel...a little unfair to the rest of us who really want to be informed...thanks a bunch...I look forward to your reasons

    • Posted By: Clare830 @ 01/07/2008 9:56:57 PM

If she is a carbon copy of Bill Clinton I will take her that way too.....Give us back the intelligence of that administration that managed to function with all the investigations that the Republicans put them through in 8 years and left us with a balanced budget and a surplus... We need to go back to that type of governing but it will be harder since the Bush administration has left us in such a mess. Obama does not have the experience to handle the mess we are in or the future problems that may be coming our way. Its will take a strong person, and I say a woman will be our best shot...Not a young man just beginning his political career. He is no JFK, he has not the experience of war or the senate yet. Let him earn it the way Hillary has and not with spin. Young people out there had better realize this is not 24 but real life and Obama is not as intelligent as President Palmer......or he would have my vote.......right now its Hope only with Hillary...

Oh you people who think it's not a good idea to pull out of Iraq now. What if you were a military spouse with one deployed at this moment. Some of you have not a clue what is going on over there. Some of our spouses have been over to Iraq several times and will tell you that we need to pull out. They know what is going on. So anyone who thinks that we shouldn't pull out is full of it. Atleast Hillary told us in the debate that she would have the meetings to come up with a plan to take everyone out and execute that plan in 60 days. Did Obama even have a plan? His plan was one year and that was all he could say. If some of you were in my shoes, you wouldn't be supporting someone that doesn't even know how to put a plan into action to get our military men and women home. God forbid if we elect a president who uses his young age, his fresh new ideas as everyone is bragging about, and his little children in their bobbie socks to attract the attention. So what Hillary got emotional. SHE IS HUMAN!! ATLEAST SHE IS EXPERIENCED. Who cares that she stood by Bill? Those of you dogging her...if it come down to you and your marriage, you might stand by your spouse to. That's personal...it has nothing to do with the seat in Washington. Maybe she stood by Bill because she loved him. She's human!! GEE AMERICA WAKE UP! Why elect Obama or McCain. They haven't a clue. All they could say about pulling out of the war was listening to our Military leaders...DUH....I hope so! Because they are the only ones who knows what's at risk over there....they are around it!

    • Posted By: watching @ 01/07/2008 10:16:38 PM

to electhillary: As I understand it, you would ignore the advice of military leaders, men and women who were placed in positions of responsibility and authority because they were trained as such, and instead listen to politicians, who are constantly checking the latest poll to find out where they stand. Never mind that military leaders are on the front line, checking the latest reports from their subordinates, or visiting the battle area, or conferring with the nation's leaders to find out the next step to take in order to achieve Victory. I know that's a strange word to many young people today because victory is something people don't seem to be interested in today. My suggestion is to listen to the people who are in the midst of the situation, not people who are snug and warm here at home. Go to the expert for your information, not the person who has only his own interest at heart.

Why not put ourselves on her shoes trying to understand what she has been through--being attacked from all corners--mainstream media, Obama supporters, right wingers and left wingers, while she has to be strong and function well day and night to appeal to her potential voters.

I consider anybody here trying to criticize or question her tears is heartless person

Mac2007, THIS AINT' NOTHIN' COMPARED TO THE PRESSURE OUR FUTURE PRESIDENT MUST ENDURE. If she can't handle this heat, she'd better get out of America's kitchen...and fast. This is just the beginning.

Those of you can dog Hillary all you want. Military families in this country need someone in office to get our men and women back home. Some of these candidates don't have a clue how to even make that happen. Atleast Hillary gave us spouses of those military members deployed more hope than Obama or McCain. Hillary did say that she would have the meetings to come up with a plan and then 60 days after she is in office she will execute that plan. Obama and McCain don't even have a plan. The people running in this campaign need to worry about our soldiers first!! Those of you who aren't military families are only worried about a young candidate with fresh ideas. Yeah he may have fresh ideas.....but can he execute any plan? He doesn't touch Hillary with experience. She basically help run the country when Bill was in office. Atleast the economy was in much better shape then!!

I have a son in Iraq and am very proud of him taking the fight overseas instead of in our hotels, restaurants, and other soft target locations. I will vote for the person who I think will sustain this fight as I know from first hand experience that our common enemy will not give up even after we've vacated Iraq. Hillary Clinton is not the person for the world as it is today.

Which threat are you referring to...the one that the current presidency created for us...the hatred among the Muslim countries because of our fanatical president...you're correct in being afraid, not because of the current threat but of the threat that awaits us if we don't change course and cease this quest for global domination...

Don't be fooled. This is a dangerous, conniving individual who will do anything to be in a position of power. On what grounds do you make your accusations regarding Hillary Clinton? You sound like most sheep who are led by the media. I have heard more (mostly men) say how she is a dog manipulative and coniving, but when EVERY one of them were confronted by me, NONE of them knew why they hated her so; other than because they "Heard it Somewhere" GROW UP Get you head out of the spinned lies of the media. Remember they (the media) are out for the almighty dollar. The media, by the way, is the most manipulative downfall of our world!!! I say to you ,"BAH BAH Lamb to Slaughter"

In a post 9/11 world, Hillary is the only one I trust in the Oval Office. Unfortunately, an enviornment supporting the status quo is NOT favorable. Lets just hope that smooth talkin Obama does NOT get nominated; because the democratic party will be doomed!
    Dont give up Hillary !!!

    Hillary 08!
