You have got to be kidding me?! You call that crying? Oh please!! She demonstrated passion. And who are any of you to assume you know what the next president with face on day one. You don't. Obama sure the heck doesn't.....Edwards might be able to have a clue. But Hillary is far better able to go the distance. Does she have emotion sure.....but it's passion that you people just witnessed. I read the Newsweek story, then I wasted 45 minutes reading all your stupid anti-Hillary comments. It was then that I decided to watch the video. If you people are incapable of interpreting what passion is vs. emotional breakdown then you obviously aren't capable of choosing a president based on their experience and abilities. So go ahead and vote for your unAmerican Obama (he who refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance), and then we can all watch the country totally crumble under the leadership of a muslim. You people are complete morons. You know I hear people say that the antichrist is coming. Geez, have we already met him? I am amazed at the stupidity and ignorance that is out there. Your assumptions that you know what it's like to be president, or that you have any basis on which to decide who should be president is quite apparent. If you like Obama so much, then go post positive notes on his website. Stay away from posting these so called 'insights' that you all think you offer.

"crumble under the leadership of a muslim."

      ARE YOU JOKING ME!!!?!?!?
      someone bought the hillary crap...

I'm sorry, but Obama's current religious preference is Presbyterian. Hope this helps you clarify future comments and observations.

Everyone of you that claim crying is not presidential; or it is too much like a women to get emotional, or a ploy for your vote. You are obviously not in tune with what goes on in the news or politics..BUSH CRIED THREE TIMES, ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. You have also not watched the entire interview because the news commentator mentioned several Presidents and canidates who have cried. Watch CNN in the morning for the entire story.

Give me a break! She probably practiced that for hours in front of her mirror to make it appear sincere. What a phony!

I am a black man and an independent voter. i am very troubled and to say the least disgusted by the media's hypocrisy. it alarms me to think that the coverage given to Hillary Clinton is close to 100% negative At the same time Obama is given a free ride, every candidate for public office should be held to the same standard. i am amazed that even woman are still acting like "fool number one." it is this same media that propelled the present as the the guy to have a beer with. it almost seem that in the ligt of imas among others, the media has a fear of faer and balance.

The Clinton haters, you guys are heartless. Clinton is the most genuine and kind hearted people you will ever see. She genuinely cares about the average people.
I used to be one of the small group of people called unitefamilies.org. We all have green card but we are not citizens yet. But because of the restrictions of the immigration law, we could not bring our spouses over to this country only as a green card holder.
We spent a few years fighting for the rights to be together with our other halves. We send emails/faxes to our congressman, senators, but nobody cared because we don't have the right to vote. These people include Obama. We didn't get anything out of him!
Until we contacted Mrs. Clinton. She flew a few of us to Washington DC to meet her (unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet her myself, otherwise that would be the glorious moment of my life) and she was so sympathetic for us. Later she tried to put an amendment to the comprehensive immigration bill and even had a news conference with a few of us. Even though the bill failed in the senate because of a republican blockage, I am forever thankful for what she did.
What would Senator Clinton gain by helping us? Nothing! we are a very small group and have no rights to vote. Why? Because she has the most beautiful heart.
Now I have become a citizen, I will go down the same road with her no matter how tough it is going to be, no matter how long it is going to be.
    God bless her!

Oh so sad that "ctcifone" can't deal with a little late dinner for his wife for the benefit of our country to decide who will be the next leader of our naton. "Attitude" is what it takes, but not his thank goodness. I want Hillary there, she would be good for our soul as women, and her focus and human sensitivity can bridge people, humanity, rather than tear it down further. I believe in her. Why not give her a chance? Let's see what she'll do, but if you're too angry to just chill out and relax about it, find something good to occupy your time doing. Do something for someone else, branch out a little, and give up the angry commentary. It doen't do anyone any good and hurts you more than anyone really.

being the consumate actors that they are, hillary and bill both got down on their knees and cried the year after he was tossed out as gov. of arkansas, praising the lord and begging the people of arkansa to give them another chance. you know what, it worked, but after a bit arkansas saw the only way to get rid of them was to vote for bill for president, that way they could not do arkansas much direct harm. where are the historians now?????? you got it. they are all liberal.

Give it up Clinton haters! I didn't see any boo hooing going on. Her voice cracking does not make her less capable of running our country. I am sure other candidates and presidents have shed tears. If not, what country were they manufactured in because they certainly wouldn't be human to withstand the amount of pressure involved and never have an emotional moment. I am an undecided voter at this point, and do not hold what I saw today against her as a potential president.

HILLARY LOST THE BID FOR THE PRESIDENCY EVEN BEFORE SHE STARTED CRYING. #1. THE TEARS ONLY CONFIRMED IT.
#2. THERE WILL NEVER BE A WOMAN PRESIDENT IN THE UNITED STATES. REMEMBER THIS WHOLE NATION IS UNDER GOD AND IT WAS FOUNDED BY OUR FOREFATHERS NOT FOREMOTHERS. EVEN BEING A WOMAN MYSELF, I HONOR THE FACT THAT WE AS WOMEN HAVE A PLACE AND A ROLE. WE ARE NURTURERS AND CREATED MORE OF AN EMOTIONAL BEING THAN THE AVERAGE MAN. SO, WHY DOES IT COME AS SHOCK THAT HIL'S CRYING. THE ONLY CLINTON THAT WILL BE PRESIDENT IS THE ONE THAT WE'VE ALREADY HAD, HIS NAME WAS BILL NOT HILLARY. PLUS, HOW WOULD IT LOOK TO ALL THE INSANE TERRORIST AND EXTREMIST, A U.S. PRESIDENT CRYING. MY GOD, CAN'T YOU SEE OSAMA COMMING OUT OF HIDING, SADAAM RISING FROM THE GRAVE, IRAN DOING MORE THAN JUST TAUNTING OUR NAVAL SHIPS. OH, AND BY THE WAY, ISN'T THE NAME OBAMA TOOOOOO SIMILAR TO OSAMA, GOD FORBID WE GET TONGUE TIED AND SAY "PRESIDENT OSAMA" THAT'S SCARY. I'M NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT'S GOING ON BUT WITH HILLARY CRYING AND O-B-A-M-A IN THE LEAD, I'M SURE THE ANTI-CHRIST IS SOMEWHERE NEAR.

this is pretty pointless and retarded if you ask me...
i forgot people like you even exist...

alot of people hate hillary... but its because shes corrupt, and a liar, among things...
      NOT because shes a woman..

If the tears are real I surely don't want her to be my commander in chief. Their is no room for emotion of such an extent over such a topic. If the tears are fake, she must of learned it from President Clinton, that classic vedio where he is laughing and back slapping, sees a camera and cries on que for the camera at Sec. Brown's funeral. Real class!

    • Posted By: 2001snake @ 01/07/2008 9:22:45 PM

Bush cried three times at least on National TV.

Expierenced at auctioning the Lincoln Bedroom and pillaging the whitehouse. This humanoid had to be coached in the human emotion of laughing, and it came out as a ghastly cackle at the most inappropriate times. Since that didn't work, she'll try tears. This undistinguished Junior Senator from New York, in the first elected post since her sorority days, hasn't got what it takes to hold any office that she can't buy outright.

I just love it when people comment on Hillary staying will Bill through the cheating times. Isn't marriage supposed to be in good times and bad. Should 't you work hard to save your marriage. I admire her for sticking it through. I think the republicans are to blame for her numbers going down. In states where there is open primaries, they are having them vote away from her. God forbid we have apresident that has half a brain and better yet a women.

    • Posted By: ajackson @ 01/07/2008 7:41:40 PM

Agree to stick it out through tough and good times---She stuck it out for "Political Gain"- They use eachother and it is sad to think she is running in the race...What a fake.... Do your homework and realize that she is in the wrong business- she should try the Big Screen...She is a great actress......I hope honestly that your eyes are opened to the truth.

      • Posted By: ARChicago @ 01/07/2008 9:20:22 PM

Well you probably voted for that actor that became president so why not her then?

  • Posted By: sarafrombrooklyn @ 01/07/2008 4:28:50 PM

She wasn't crying, she was being passionate. Let's hope gotcha journalism doesn't focus on this meaningless 30 seconds instead of on Mrs. Clinton's accomplishments and her platform.

    • Posted By: coldstone-lajolla @ 01/07/2008 9:19:10 PM

Sara - do you believe it was sincere?? She did not shed a tear at the 9-11 ceremony - but can cry when her personal positions are at stake - I see her as selfish. I am looking at Obama and/or McCain.

All you folks out there who think Hiliary has experiance...., doing what? All these things she claims to have done, she's done as First Lady. Granted, there's a lot of evidence to say that without Hiliary, Bill never would have made it to the Governorship of Ark. But, she didn't campaign to be First Lady. She wasn't put to the test in debates with other First Lady candidates. The American public did not elect her to be First Lady. All the things she says she accomplished, she accomplished by decree, without the messy need of bothering with Senatorial or Congressional committees or worrying about a constituency back home to answer to. This is the first time in history that we've had a bonafide female candidate, but running with no record other than she was First Lady. Are we supposed to set the bar lower? Are we supposed to give her a pass? And now with the tears, we're supposed to feel bad that somehow we the American public have hurt her feelings and because of our incredible guilt feelings, we say "Don't feel bad, Hiliary. We, the public, will give you the Presidency"!!! Condoleeza Rice has my vote anytime she wants to consider running.

IM BEHIND HILLARY ALLL THE WAY!! U GO GIRL. I CAN'T STAND HOW PEOPLE ARE BEING SOO STUPID ABOUT HER GETTING CHOKED UP JUST BECAUSE SHE'S NOT A ROBOT LIKE THE REST OF THOSE IDIOTS...SHE CARES AND ISN'T AFRAID TO SHOW IT!
SHE GONNA WIN HANDS DOWN BECAUSE SHE GOT WHAT IT TAKES!

    • Posted By: coldstone-lajolla @ 01/07/2008 9:15:38 PM

Do you honestly think Clinton was emotional for our country? I believe that she was selfish about her candidacy. I never her saw her choke up during any 9-11 ceremony, I was crying, but I am sure that Clinton was thinking about her self. Bring on Obama or McCain...

  • Posted By: ghostu @ 01/07/2008 9:15:19 PM

this is one of those life imitates art moments- anyone remember john hirt in broadcast news tearing up to appear sympathetic to a crime victim? those crocodile tears are as believable as the "im not running", "i didnt inhale" and "it depends what your definition of sex is" quotes weve heard before from the clinton camp and were supposed to think obama is disingenuous? forget it billary, its time to go home, wherever that may be this week

  • Posted By: martincaver @ 01/07/2008 7:12:02 PM

Hillary may be sincere in her convictions and emotions, but that's no reason to vote for her. She's up to her eyeballs in Washington morass - lobbyists, consultants, shady deals, cover-ups, etc. We need to turn the page!
