Hillary Tears Up

Why would you base your entire decision about the future of our country on one 5 second (relatively insignificant) snippet from a campaign event? Who cares if she teared up? Look at Clinton's entire record of service; then look at the record of her rivals. Her competitors snipe at her on such trivialities because they have a hard time attacking her record.

If Obama had teared up during a press conference, he would be lauded as "passionate" and "caring"; Hillary does it and she's weak and overly emotional. Apparently, this country is still too mysoginistic to elect a woman.

Her entire record of service? You mean being married to someone in government? Because until she became the JUNIOR senator from New York, she had not even been elected to Chappaqua dog catcher. If you count "experience" as having a secretary plan dinners and tea parties, and going along with handlers on "goodwill" tours, and on yes, failing completely at the one bone Bill tossed her way -- the Hillarycare fiasco -- then I guess you could call her qualified. But based on holding office -- ANY office -- she is, in my opinion, the least qualified. You're confusing her "experience" with her husband's.

BS the people and still lose, I would cry too!

The United States needs a strong leader who will not crack under pressure. This display of overwhelming emotion is a bad sign, and is very inconsistent with the kind of person that is a true leader. If she is feeling this much strain now, how is she going to be able to handle the job of leading a country of millions of people 2, 3, and 4 years from now? Hillary is a good talker and a good spin artist, but in no way is she cut from the mold of strong leaders and because of that fact alone she will not make a good president. She may stand for all of the things that you stand for, but it is not entirely about that. She has her place in our governement as a positive figure, unfortunately for her that place is not as President of the United States of America.

I'm laughing. Hillary Clinton has played the feminine card...she cried. How real was it?

I believe this greatest nation on earth will lose it's edge to some other nations such as China or Japan as number one nation in the world because of our own stupidity. We are probably the only industrialized nation elceting president based upon their appearance and promises instead of who they are and what tehy are really capable of instead of their religion and their empty promises, wake up U.S.A !

A leader with passion has the ability to make decisions that are in the best interest of all individuals they are elected to lead.

She is human and I for one am glad that she has shown her humanity. It would be nice if others in power were willing to show some humanity on occasion. Where as most are living heart donors.

Yea I bet that was a tactical move on her part.one of her advisors told her to do it or something...... it didn't seem genuine ...also it wasn't a moment for tears the lady in the audience asked a simple question....

Hilary seems to be composed most of the time on TV but it's her temper I most worry about! The stories from staff at the white house when she wasn't even an elected official. Verbally abusing individuals up and down in front of colleges and not in private. Can you trust the most powerful country in the world to someone like that! who can't control themselves let alone direct a Nation, You want to give that person control of a nuclear weapon?

Major media, give us all a break. This time around, focus on the candidates' words. Not how they look. If they lie, let us know. After failing miserably in the 2000 and 2004 elections, get it right for once.

What is the big deal? Hillary Clinton is for real and foreigners cannot understand why she is hated so much! Americans are a curious bunch, really. What was amazing to me was a report I just saw in CNN about throngs packing the house to see Obama and they had no idea where he stood on issues but they just wanted to be stirred by his passionate speech (rhetoric) in my book. Careful, careful...

I don??t know if it was real or if she was cheating. I can??t judge if it was real or not (like most of us). But what she said is highly arrogant. As if the she is the only candidate that takes care about america. The other candidates are just playing. She is the only one who would be able as a president. Sorry, but such a narcism is dangerous

" Some of us are right, and some of us are not/" I couldn't help notice the transcript is edited. Senator Clinton's actual words on the video are "Some of us are right, and some of us are wrong."

A lot of people can show emotions. I have been a Clinton supporter ever since they came entered national politics but now i feel like they have lost touch. I am having a real hard time with her support of the war. That issue leads me to think that with her as President it would just be more of the same. I wan't change.

Reading this article, it sounded like it must have been a moving moment. Watching the actual moment itself, in the video, it sounded stilted and staged. I'm not saying I think it *was* staged...just, to me, she still seems calculating, even when she's being vulnerable.

Of she is hurt..because this Obama can do something for you. Like a resident of ILLINOIS said." OBAMA IS ONLY GOOD FOR ORGAINZING HIGH SCHOOL EVENTS. HE HAS DONE NOTHING FOR ILINOIS,OUR HEALTH CARE IS IN A SCHAMBLE.

  • Posted By: poh47 @ 01/07/2008 5:34:22 PM

What is wrong with the American people? Hillary Clinton is being attacked from all sides viciously, including the "impartial" media and the American public, who is completely hypnotized by television is eating it all up. Obama has said NOTHING.
Absolutely nothing and the Republicans will eat him up ALIVE.

What the men in power are afraid of is not her emotion but her since of justice and her lack of fear!
