Go Hilary! Step up and lead this country out of the corporate police state it has become under Bush!
Go Hilary! Step up and lead this country out of the corporate police state it has become under Bush!
Sorry, but I don't want a President who (almost) cries in public... especially because they need to demonstrate their "softer" side. It was a pathetic and orchestrated moment. Whoever believes she was sincere is an idiot.
Upon observing this video the first thing that came to mind were Hillary's Campaign Manager and staff urging her to reveal her softer side and portray more femininity. I see this only as a facade in a weak attempt to catch up with the real charisma that is Barrack Obama.
I believe that Hillary showed passion for what she believes. I believe It was real. I wish our current president had even an ounce of this passion and caring for our country. Maybe he wouldn't be so egotistical with his decisions, and simply worry about our country. I sincerely wish I didn't feel this way about Bush, but he has shown nothing but his ego getting in the way of making proper decisions. GO HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh goodie, a crier as president. Is she gonna cry everytime things get hard, everytime congress and senate don't vote her way, everytime another country disagrees with her....We need somebody with a bit more backbone to be the President of the United States
heck of a well written story. it's not right to judge this incident on how it will help her campaign though -that's the root of what the story talks about anyway.
Go Hilary. An intelligent woman with years of not only political experience, but life experience. Why are people blaming Hilary for her husband's infidelity. She did what any person in her place would have done for the country...she took one for the team. I'm sure inside she was dying, but weakness on her part would have made the White House look weak. And on the Obama front, can anyone say... Lurch. The guy has the personality of my ironing board and no experience whatsoever. Sorry Oprah - stick to your book club.
In the article it states that no one will remember the policy parts of the speech prior to Ms. Clintons emotional moment. Why is that? Because the article doesn't tell us what they were. The sensationalism of the press zeros in on the teary episode rather than the policy.
Go Hillary!! Here's a woman who really cares for the people in this country and has great experience to accomplish many things.
I wish her the very best and this country needs someone like her, it's about time, especially after moron Bush. I'm sending a contribution to her campaign today.
Even if you don't like her, she's still the one with the MOST experence. Give her a chance and you can always vote her out in 4 years. She couldn't do any worse than what we have now.
Have you really researched experience with all the Elects, you couldn't have if you think she is the most qualified. You might go back to the search engine and do it again.
Oh goodie, a crier as president...ahhh the strength. is she gonna cry everytime it gets hard, everytime another country decides they don't want to do what she wants. Personally, i dont want a crier as president of the United States the most powerful country in the world....
I am disgusted by Newsweek. The Mainstream Media again makes a sincere, empassioned moment of true patriotism into another in a neverending stream of shallow, callow, uncaring, meaningless commentaries about her worth as a candidate. She's intelligent, experienced, courageous. THAT'S what an election is about. The body politic is in deep trouble and the Mainstream Media who take their orders from very powerful corporate interests is to blame.
obvious is obvious. Do the math. She loses in Iowa and everyone says she has to increase her likeability. The polls all say she is too hard, so what happens next? She gets asked a leading question and provides an on cue moment of emotional passion. Fortunately for all of us, it's too little, too late...
This country has become so cold and synical and hated--by both other countries and, regretfully, a lot of it's own citizens. I still believe it can change before it all comes to an end, and continueing on the same path with the same cookie cutter presidents will offer no change--no hope. I admit there is no candidate that I feel extremely passionate about--they all have something I don't agree with on their agenda--no matter which party. I doubt that Ms. Clinton can pull this nomination out of the hat, but I for one liked seeing some humanity in a candidate. Look where our current commander-in-chief (who--what do you know-shows no emotion--or anything else) has led us? Maybe someone who actually feels the loss of all our brave soldiers and the pain of the increasing "working poor" and the suffering of the seniors who must choose food or medicine could REALLY make a difference for us. What we have had up til now has led us down a sad path. I gained more appreciation and respect for Hillary Clinto today. For real CHANGE you must try something different, perhaps out of your comfort zone. I want a human in the white house for once, not a puppet or heartless poser. Based on the past two elections our country will once again choose the path that is most familiar--too bad for all of us (again). Clinton has my support and my vote if she is still in the running when my state has its primary..
I didn't vore for Bill and I don't support Hillary, but only a fool thinks those were crocodile tears, and there are no shortage of fools, hence the number questioning the sincerity of her tears. The emotion was real, the water wasn't fake; it springs from the realization that the dream is over, and deservedly so, but let's stop being boneheadedly cynical about what we observe. Her grief was real. The electortae's inability to accurately read people and politicians is how we got the moron in the WH we have now.
I am really suprised how the democrats are supporting a rookie like Obama for such an important post which not only influences this nation but also the whole world. It is not a post for which u can gamble for a rookie. I hear a lot against her policies. what is the problem with social equality. was not all human beings born equally. Or a person who was born to a wealthy parents born differently. Stop loving ur individuality for the common good. Be collective in ur efforts to make a stronger nation. Dont worry if u pay extra taxes today. It is for the good of some one needy tommorrow (It may be for you if fortunes change) rather than for some 'siphoning the oil land' war.
The truth hurts. She is simply doing what all women do when they are rejected ??? cry. Simply another manipulation trick that all women use ??? and we all know it ??? including women. Look at every beauty pageant or any contest where its all women. Without fail, every single one who doesn???t ???get what she wants???, doesn???t win ??? cry???s. This is simply what women do. It is a lack of ability to control emotions which is why there are very few women are fit for office. Sorry if the truth hurts, no offense intended but the truth of the matter is what it is. How many men are out there blubbering because they are loosing? Hillary is NO Margret Thatcher nor does she even rise to the level of a Bhutto. Hillary is simply one more completely self-absorbed Baby Boomer Democrat, created by the media, another empty Democrat ???suit???. And this is basically the way they ALL act. These are the tears of Queen Hillary, the ???inevitable candidate??? who is simply realizing that this election is a total rejection of the Clintons and what the Democrat Party Status Quo has become. In fact ALL the Clintonista???s are feeling the same rejection as the rejection of Hillary is the rejection of them all. The defeat of Hillary is the defeat of them all. And we all know it.
Even if the Republicans lose the election, it will still be a giant victory for Republicans to defeat Hillary since much of this war between the two parties is really a war between the Clintons and the Republican voters. Even Republicans can unite behind Obama ??? not Hillary. So, Hillary loosing may not be to our advantage, but we???ll take it as the nation over party is more important to Republicans and always has been.
Boy was that a great acting job. She should get an oscar for that performance.
I agree, that it is not a weakness to cry but what she said is more than arrogant. As if she would be the only person who takes care about america. As if no other candidate would be able to guide america. Sorry but such a narcism is not sustainable and is dangerous for the country.
What's wrong with her crying?...at least she is not too stupid to know that the current administration has brought this country to it's lowest level in history. Make no mistake my friends -- we are in trouble! Hundreds of billions on a war that can not be won and shouldn't have ever been started? The economy at it's worst in 30 years??? I would rather have someone that hasa real sense of our danger -- than someone that thinks they are the Messiah!
In the article it was stated that no one would remember the policy points she made befor the teary episode. Why is that? Because the article didn't say anything about the more substantive portion of her speach. It is the sensationalist media that causes these little non-issues to come to the forfront.
TO ALL WOMEN EVERYWHERE: DON'T BE SUCKED IN, HILLARY IS CONNIVING AND A BETTER ACTOR THAN HER HUSBAND (I SAY THAT WITH TONGUE IN CHEEK) AMERICA IS TIRED OF THE CLINTONS AND THEIR SHENANIGANS, GET RID OF HER, NEVER TO HER THE NAME BILL OR HILLARY AGAIN.
