If only she spent as much time being the CARPETBAGGER from NEW YORK as she did running for President, she could help New York. Hillary already spent her 8 years in the WHITE HOUSE...

Yesterday she was yelling at Edwards in the debate. That didn't go across so well. Today, she's crying. This looks like the better strategy.

I feel touched. She has been dedicated to public service her whole life, and it has to be hard to see something inevitable slip away. But, then, I remember how Hillary apologized in person to Obama, fired her head staff, and then sent Mark Penn out to repeat the story. Her apology was a ruse. I doubt this is, but when I remember the naive, coward, inexperienced, ambitious, criminal, drug dealer, terrorist names she called Obama, I have no sympathy. She's earned this. I used to be her supporter. She can't handle her anger, and now she can't handle her pain? Is this what she will do in office? What a laughing stock we would be..

    I'm sure it's real,

I'm sorry to say this lady has no experience to lead this country. She will say or do anything to get elected.
It's a shame that some people actually believe her .

She thought she had this election in the bag, but instead she's received an unexpected body blow! Of course she's feeling emotional ... she's behind!

I hope that everyone will finally realize that these candidates are not running for president of the PTA. We cannot afford anyone who takes it "personally". Candidates for president of the United States have to be objective at all costs. They are not allowed public emotional moments---men or women Our candidates can't be warm and fuzzy. Genuine, yes. Intelligent, absolutely. Commanding of respect., no doubt.

I don't get it.... This proves that she "CARES" more than the other candidates???

Maybe its just a sign that.... she cares too much.

I hope people will finally realize that the candidates are not running for president of the PTA. The candidates for president of the United States cannot afford the luxury of being "personal". They have to be objective at all costs. Not to mention having above average intelligence and outstanding communication skills. Only one candidate has all of those qualities...and it's not Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton has been busting her butt for the rights of children and the welfare of the nation years before Barak Obama began his great oratorical double-speak. All the junk that the press and others want to throw at her. What has always been alright for men is never alright for women it seems and I don't care what Oprah thinks, I'm still voting for Hillary Clinton.

What do you all want...some kind of inhumane president? At least Hillary's tears show how passionate she is about making a change...they convey how human she really is...that although she has such a prominent leadership role, she is also a normal person.

    • Posted By: cvk1812 @ 01/07/2008 5:00:31 PM

Not sure what you mean by "normal". I don't see any other politician crying right now. They're all facing the same stress, the same hectic schedule.

Her tears are either faked, or the "you promised I could be president so why's Obama ahead of me???" kind.

Sorry to say most of the people making comments are not aware of the fact that the stress is causing Hillary Clinton to break down. She is 60 running a hard battle with someone who is well informed and can motivate crowds. Hillary can not be her self. When she is confronted with the special interest groups, the DNC and the locals who have paved the way for her and financed her campaign they are putting pressure on her to come out of her skin and duplicate Obama. She has to watch herself and also watch Bill Clinton to make sure he is in line. I can imagine that some of her staff are looking for a way out before she meets disaster in NH. The 100 million she has collected doe not come from little disorganized people, it comes from major corporations that have hedged the spending and want her to pay it back once elected. Her daughter is just standing there and just smiling. The woman is on her own and the chances are that she is not going to make it. She has all the signs of a breakdown. She caught her self in the middle of the conversation and got back on target and attacked Obama. The problem in cases like this is the over whelming feeling of being lost will hit her again. She has stress and no one is listening. Now is the time for someone to help her. Seeing her like this is very sad. Seeing her alone with her pressure is very hard. This is really like the entire country is mobbing her. The right wing is not her problem, her own people and staff are the problem. I am not a HC fan however kicking beyond repair is also not right. I hope someone has the insight to realize what is happening and help her.

Expierenced at what? An undistinguished junior senator from New York in her first elected office, whose primary experience is in auctioning the Lincoln bedroom and pillaging The Whitehouse, and this is the best candidate you have to offer? This humanoid life-form had to be coached on laughing, and still hasn't got a clue as to when to laugh and when not to. Since that didn't work, she'll try tears. She's a bad piece of work from start to finish.

I didn't see a single public tear when Bill was cheating on her, now suddenly she has an emotion? "Its personal" What does that mean. She's been in the Senate for a couple years now what has she done to help anyone except herself get a step up to the presidency, same as the rest of them nada, nada y nada.

I respect Hillary and her efforts. I can only imagine the amount of stress involved in these debates. Crying does not show weakness. Sometimes it shows passion. Too bad some of the other candidates didn't have the same amount of passion. Will I votes for her? After this- I just may.

Well said. Everyone else here should take a cue from you.......

Didn't she say that "I am ready... I am so ready... I AM SO READY.... Whwaaaa...."? The pressure on the campaign trail is a good test to see how a person responses under stress. Some got very angry (Howard Dean?) and now some cried. I recalled on a job interview once, three interviewers talked to me AT ONCE and expected me to address their questions. Later I found out that they were testing me under stress to see if I will raise my voice or not.

Well, if you want to vote for a teary Clinton, that's your call. Not me.

This is the problem with Politics as of now. People look for the stars and ignore what they are saying. The fact she broke down even a small part of her wall shows that she will not be able to hold up to pressure. Do we want a President that will show emotion, do you think the leaders of the world will be nice to us if our President gets tearie eyed in the face of a problem. No!. We need a strong leader that will use every will they have to protect thier country and people. I am insulted that there are actual people that are moved by her lack of judgement. No more acts, fake phone calls, empty promises and sayings that just get the ignorant masses to cheer. Research who you are going to vote for and if you think that person will be able to hold up to the problems our country faces in this world then by all means vote. I hope you do not vote just on the idea of what religion, sex, race or how much money someone has but how they truly are going to run our country.

    Oh PU-LEEZE!
Don't believe the hype. Here are the facts:
Hillary (even by her own testimony in this video) along with everyone else running with the notion that they are very passionate about what they stand for and want for the country. Taking her at her own word, then the "passion" she feels has apparently existed since she started this campaign, so that is certainly not the basis for these tears. So what is the difference then and now? It's the "reality check" that she called for during the debates. She got it this morning when the polls came out showing a double digit lead for Obama. THAT is the only difference--not her passion. gimme a break.

Secondly, she has always maintained that it's a great slate of democratic candidates this year and any of them will turn around the blunders of the bush administration. she also said in her speech after the Iowa caucuses she said she believes that there WILL be a democrat in the white house. That being said, whether it's her or one of the other democratic candidates in the white house, her statement in this video about us being set back is not in keeping with her stated position about the democratic slate. Does she believe what she said about the great and capable slate of candidates or does she believe that SHE is the only one great and capable. I submit to you that the latter is true, and thus the tears--because she is having to deal with unexpected defeat. period.

I am a compassionate person, but I'm not gullible! This is a woman insisting that SHE is the one who is tough enough to deal with republicans and ready to lead on day one, yet, "day one" hasn't even come close and she's crying under pressure.

    I think I'm gonna hurl!

RE: Hillary's belief there WILL be a democrat (SIC) in the white house (SIC): hopefully that Democrat will be pushing a broom, and not in charge of pushing buttons in the nuclear suitcase. Hillary's crocodile tears do little more than underline the level to which this woman will stoop in her grab for power. The intelligent man must ask himself why she would do this. And the answer is this: Hillary intends to become President so that she can bring Ameria more on a course towards becoming a socialist democracy like those found in Europe. This is the master that she serves, and not some altruistic desire to "right" the wrongs of the current administration. Don't be fooled, Democrats: the war in Iraq is absolutely a secondary issue to this woman. Expanding government, increasing taxes and guaranteeing a place at the trough for her socialist buddies in the health care industry are her only prime directives.

RE: Hillary's crying episode. I don't believe for one second that the woman who sat on TV and described her reaction to her husband's philandering without shedding a tear is genuinely capable of crying over anything but polling data. Hillary hasn't run so much as a dog pound on her own. Placing her in the position of the nation's Chief Executive is more than just folly, it's a dangerous notion which ultimately threatens our national security. You will note that the one time it mattered what her thoughts were on the defense of the nation from terrorist attack that she agreed with the current administration. I think she should continue leaving matters such as this up to people who are qualified to lead, and quietly withdraw from her campaign when she loses in New Hampshire.
