Sliming Obama

Regardless of these false emails I still won't vote for him. The truth is I wouldn't have voted for him anyways because my decision lies with his opinion on other matters such as homosexual marriage and pulling out troops from Iraq in an extremely short amount of time. I agree that there are changes that need to be made, but I'm afraid that Obama might have too many changes in his agenda.

No matter how you look at it, he has a Muslim background and attends a church that is obviously extremist. I am very hesitant about endorsing a person with these influences no matter how charismatic he appears. These claims were around long before they were ascribed to the Clintons. Apparently, Obama's supporters seek to place blame on his opponents since he has no record to support his views. I agree that he needs to show a plan rather than broad statements that appeal to the uneducated masses.

Lies, lies and more lies...how easily misled people are - can't they feel when a person is sincere, don't they see the true character of a person, hear it in his voice, feel how deep his feelings lie with hope to improve our country and make us proud again....my hope lies in Barack Obama and I can't wait to vote for him!!!

Aprox 3 months ago I informed CNN and Senator Obama's email site that there was a slanderous email being forwarded accusing Obama of being MUSLIM and also of refusing to PLEDGE THE ALLEGIANCE TO OUR FLAG....I knew it was not true and deleted each slanderous and treacherous email. I have been an admirer of Obama since the first I heard him speak...I have faith in him that I have never found in other politicians and I have been a registered voter for many years. He instills a hope I have never felt and I will definitely vote for the man and trust him whole heartedly and I am a white woman.

The truth has become so muddled and muddied by those of good intentions and devisive intentions, those who have fictionalized Obama's heritage, religion, politics, values and integrity both for the better and for the worse. Rather than read this crap, research his history, his politics, values and religion and make an informed decision. You obviously didn't do that over the last 2 elections. If you had, we wouldn't have ended up with the worst Presidency in US history.

The true test of America will be in this election. Will Obama win or lose on his own merits? Or on slanderous lies perpetrated by those with their own agenda. As far as the church that he goes to, he is not responsible for the creed posted by the church he attends, and the pastor is not running for president. I've never attended the church so I don't know what message is being preached. But growing up in the south, I was a member of a church that belongs to the United Church of Christ. They were very active in civil rights at that time and were targeted by segregationist with violence. Because they have a commitment to Africa does not mean that there is no commitment to America or even their surrounding neighborhood. I only wish we would have been this thorough scrutinizing Bush's allege drug use in his youth before he was given eight years to get our country in its present condition.

It is truly sad to read such a vehement racist tirade as the ones posted by John Frost. It is that kind of rhetoric which fuels so-called super patriots, who love their country but hate 90% of the people who live in it, to commit acts of violence against anyone who doesn't fit the archetype of who they deem acceptable as a leader. "THE NEGRO'S INTIMIDATION MUST NOT BE TOLERATED IN OUR CIVILIZATION!! " This could easily translate as "PUT THEM *** BACK IN THEIR PLACE!! " Yes Mr. Frost we've heard your message loud and clear. Nice little religious misinformation twist in there too I see. It's people like you that are the bane of our great nation. You cater to the lowest of human instincts, that of hatred and mistrust. I am Christian and Jesus' message was one of truth and love not half truths and fear baiting. Shame on you.

I am very glad that these things have come out as I have received many such e-mails, espically about the church he belongs to. I do think they are a little on the racist side, but then so are a lot of people.His living in indonesia and for a short time learning about the Muslim way of thinking may help him as a preident. because a person goes to a lot of different religions doesn't make them bad but gibes them a greater understanding of others. We as Americans are a mealting pot of different cultures and religons. Our ansisters came from many different countries, bringing with them part of their culture. This is where it needs to end and first allegience belong to our country the United States. That is the only thing I find wrong with the church he belongs to as they are calling Africa their Mother country. . This is where I stand. I do not like what Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Clinton are doing nor the smears they are letting their people do. If she was the only person running for president I would do a write in. She tried to run the country when her husband was in office as Govenor and again as President , and didn't do a very good job.Thank God I live in America where I can voice my thoughts. I received the e-mail claiming Obama is a radical Muslim. I wrote back stating it was false and I attached Barack's bio from his website which includes information about his affiliation with a Christian church. I also made a contribution to his campaign as my small way of righting the wrong I feel is being committed against him. I ask that everyone who receives this e-mail do the same.

Those of you who haven't received the e-mail, please understand that it doesn't just suggest Muslim influence but rather claims radical terroist ties. It's a very slimy trick. I feel that Barack's exposure to Muslim people makes him more knowledgeable than most and therefore a better diplomat.

Does anyone notice how bigoted it is to say that an American of muslim faith shouldn't be president. Obviously Obama is Christian, but so what if he wasn't? Patriotism does not depend on your faith!!!

I received the email twice from two different people. I returned it to both telling them that I found it to be offensive and incorrect. One sent it back to me saying the Obama shouldn't even be allowed to run.
If this is the level of hate and ignorance that is reaching people, I shudder to think who the next President will be.
