THE WORLD FROM WASHINGTON

Michael Hirsh

Sorry, Barack, You’ve Lost Iraq.

Bush's efforts to negotiate a long-term U.S-Iraq pact may remove troops as an '08 election issue for Obama, Clinton.

Comment: Bush has been making his remarks for the past year that he is putting in place programs that they next president will be powerless to stop. The puppet regime in Iraq is not cooperating with Bush at all and wnats America to do all the dirty work for them.

In the mean time Bush has bought 10,000 acres of land in Argentina, one of three countries that have pledged not to arrest and put him on trial for crimes against humanity.

Comment: Bush and the puppet government of Iraq may think they can make a long term US committment, but it isn't going to work. It took the US peace movement 6 years to get us totally out of Vietnam. It'll happen again. We had to riot in the streets against Vietnam. If the same thing is needed again. Then so be it.

Comment: The US is pushing the Iraqis to a corner. After Japan, Korea, the Arabs states, Afghanistan and many others, it is the Iraqi's turn. That's why the whole world hates Bush so much and for that matter eventually the world will hate everything American. It will not be a surprise if the Iraqi Army is now planning a revolt against the US Army or they will join with the insurgents to fight their common enemy. I think the insurgents are consolidating their forces during this lull period waiting for this to happen. There will be more bloodshed.
