Yes, it's great to follow all of the advice, however now you you should get to work on the insurance companies to be sure they approve AND cover preventative health screenings. Sometimes they don't and its a shame that we (epecailly the older community living on fixed incomes) take the hit for the cost involved. these.i.e. some 'routine blood work". Also why are hearing aids NOT covered at all... except for the VA?? Guess its ok for the rest of the hearing impared people to just staya that way....

Wow! Page 9 and no mention of any heart screening for disease. Cardiovascular diseases have killed over a million people since January 1st of 2008. Every year it claims more lives than any and all cancers COMBINED. Yet no mention of any heart screening test.
Blood Cholesterol testing does not determine heart disease. It only shows if one has hyperlipidemia or not. Want to know hmore about heart scan? Email me at hamidbak@yahoo.comwhich

I disagree withe the doctor that said Metabolic panel blood work is not necessary. I am 21 years old and if my doctor did not perform that blood work, I would never know my kidneys are failing. I have no symptoms, the only thing that made my doctors aware was doing that panel and noticed my creatine level was extremely high.

And if you don't have any insurance, what tests do you get? If no one will insure you because of a pre-existing condition, what tests do you get?
