Darned right it is Alter,or you would not have stupidities like Sullivan,whose allegiance to ''conservatism''is a standard joke among actual conservatives and such leaning libertarians who otherwise have no axes to grind as regards gays. They simply believe[quite rightly,as several exchanges between Sullivan and others including Mark Steyn,Chris Hitchens,Mark Lowry,and Glenn Reynolds proved],that he is dumb in many areas of conservative thought. It is a species unto itself,which is normally termed,''Andrewism''.
In point of fact,moral relativism ,is not simply a mere bastion of the Gingrichs,Hydes,Cheynowths,and Craigs of the world. It exists in free-flower among Americas campuses where the idea is to confront ''intolerance''with more,intolerance. A janitor fired at Notre Dame for reading a history of the Klan[rehired after lawsuit]. A professor at Columbia who tried to work up the pitchfork/torch crowd by placing a hangmans noose on her department door and was later uncovered as the maker of said noose. Speakers at Georgetown and other eastern universities having to be protected by campus police from violent mob activity. Jewish students at Californias UC system beaten and threatened by pro-Palestinian campus group members. An actual riot at UC Santa Cruz over the presence of ROTC,which is allowed by federal law. Indeed,as attacks upon gays become more and more a rarity[as Americans become more gay-affirming],these other species of intolerance are growing. NEWSWEAKS article on scientists having their lives threatened by animal rights activists. Complaints by the LA Mayors office that latino-on-black ''ethnic cleansing''is occurring in areas of the LA Basin. A homeless hippie nearly stabbed and beaten to death in one of Americas most staunchly liberal free-love/drugs/anything regions in Marin County. The firebombing of Marine and other Armed Forces recruiting centers. The already ongoing threats by radical groups that they will ''not be caged''at the upcoming DNC Convention in Denver,only promising violence between protesters and the police. A thread emerges. None of these instances are propelled by true ''conservative''thought. They are radical in their origin.

It is interesting that people say "they" should stop trying to force their values on others referring to the boy who is the assailant. What about the victim who taunted him and pushed on the assailant by ridiculing and belittling him. Please do not misunderstand me, I do not think that insults or ridiculing someone warrants murder but I am tired of having other peoples values forced upon me. I am tired of the homosexual values, pro war values, etc. There should not be any government sponsorship of homosexuality or war.

Just where do you think this "child" got his hateful warped inhumane ideas that killing someone who is "different than other people " is ok!!?? Why do you think we have wars?? We will never be rid of terrorists --( YES THAT BOY IS A TERRORIST TRYING TO CONTROL WHAT HE THINKS IS RIGHT OR WRONG FOR SOME ONE ELSE!! ) as long as people can't mind thier own business and stop trying to force thier beliefs down other peoples throat.. What happened for this young boy to think he could casually take another persons life?? Maybe his parents should face crimanal charges as well as the boy. Did they have a gun where thier son could get to it? Did they preach hate? That should be considered as them being just as much to blame as the boy. But that certainly isn't much in light of the fact that we are ALL really responsible because we don't speak up when we hear someone saying insulting things about gays -fat people-black people-dis-abled people -skinny people and the list goes on & on. We are too afraid that that person/persons will turn to us next to insult so they can feel better about themselves. So tell me -some one/anyone what is the answer?????

I suggest that all Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgendered people carry weapons and use them first and ask questions later. I'd rather see them in jail then dead. There has been a war waged against us by the so called "religious" who by their ignorance and lack of any "Christlike" qualities, have told society that is is OK to let their blind, ugly, totally lowest common denominator of what we call human beings to be openly directed against us. Because of that, these so called "christians" will burn in hell just as people such as Jerry Falwell and Jesse Helms are doing at this very moment.. Government has no "right" to deny GLBT people their civil rights. There has been an openly declared war against us and I say, defend yourself, save your life, carry a weapon and use it when threatened by these animals.

How about the same for the unemployed homeless who are being killed, abused because they have no protective home? More of the homeless get abused than any others. Finally, no one should be abused, no one!
