The bill to release the secret documents is HR123

My first introduction to John McCain was while watching the committee he chaired with John Kerry regarding the missing POW's from Vietnam. He was in a rage, barging in on testimony from some tortured soul. He brow beat her and castigated her and generally broke her down into tears. He is no gentleman. And please maybe some one needs to remind the American people who may not have been of age at the time...but John McCain was part of the Keating Five. Google that.
Boy, does this guy have a memory and a penchant for settling old scores! And right before the SC primary too!. I'm no fan of McCain politically but I strongly doubt Perot's POW claim against McCain.

The book that Perot is talking about and no one wants you to read is called "Enormous Crime". I have read most of it but it gets me in such a bad mood I have to read it little by little. John McCain and Company did cover up credible evidence of living POW's period. I know that it is hard to believe but it is all true. Thank God for men like Ron Paul who introduced HR123 to release ALL of the classified documents that have been covered up by every administration since Nixon and Kissinger agreed to pay the Vietnamese for the remaining POW's left after the Paris agreements. READ IT and then support groups such as Rolling Thunder and definitely HR123 if you are a true "troop supporter" It is no wonder that more active military personel support Ron Paul over all other candidates.
What exactly is the point of this article and how did an editor ever OK it?
So you received a call from an over-the-hill, addle-brained has-been who wanted to spew his paranoid, incoherent opinions regarding a presidential race he obiously has no actual knowledge of. This story should have focused on how unfortunate it is that America's elderly billionaires aren't receiving proper medical attention. Seriously. Somebody should fire the caretaker that allowed Mr. Perot to use the telephone without supervision.
The subtitle of the article says Perot "blasts John McCain". Perot doesn't have the faculties to BLAST anybody!! He drooled on John McCain. If the author of this article had any respect for Mr. Perot, Newsweek or his professional reputation, he would have listened politely to Perot's rantings and when he was done called his nursing home to let them know what he was up to. Instead, he tried to disguise the sad musings of a confused geriatric as a legitimate story. How pathetic!
Mr. Alter, is your ego so deflated that you had no choice but to cry "An important person called me! An important person called me!! That makes me important too . . . doesn't it?"
If you had the capacity for restrain, Mr. Alter, you could have let this one slide under the radar and saved yourself and Mr. Perot's family some uneeded embarassment.
He should have mentioned that McCain was considered a screw up in the Navy and the only reason why he became a prisoner of war was because of it.

Ross Perot was right about a lot things, like Lobbyists(they should all be thrown out of Washington) and NAFTAT (the great sucking sound continues daily) we should all have voted for him.

For what it is worth, I have talked to several ex-POWs of 'Nam and have never been told they won't sit at the same table with him. Is the outspoken Perot, still trying to flush the salt from his presidential attempt wounds and grinding his axe at McCains expense?
Perot was certainly right about a lot of things...Like Lobbyists and NAFTA...We should all have voted for him.
AND there is so much more to McCain's record;

"I believe my party has gone astray. I think the Democratic Party is a fine party, and I have no problems with it, in their views and their philosophy." -- John McCain
I think Ron Paul should sit down with Mr. Perot and they could have a talk about the economy. Ron Paul could explain to Mr. Perot the reason our economy is sour. I bet after the meeting Perot will be in the Ron Paul camp! Romney is part of the problem.
As for John McCain, only someone who has been in his shoes (years as prisoner of war) can really understand. Ok, he and his wife got divorced- well, maybe after being tortured and held captive for years he came back a different man than the one she married. I find the lack of understanding for this particular personal issue really sad.
As for Barack Obama, I am just amazed at these morons who insist on believing that he is a Muslim. It shows how terribly pathetic human beings can be sometimes. I don't understand how anyone insists on believing things that are clearly lies.
Gerryz, I wouldn't comment here if I didn't feel vindicated in doing so - Check out Ron Paul. Don't let the fact that he's running for the GOP nom fool you, he's not a neo-conservative. He's an "old-school" paleo-conservative, more accurately a Libertarian.

Perot is correct. These greedy Wall Street pricks ARE going around the world with a tamborine and a tin cup, looking for cash for foreign entities, a few of which we will end up fighting someday, to bail out their bad investments and three car monte mortgages perpetuated on the American people. And to the people I ask: why the hell aren't you madder about this? Or are you content as long as you have your little job and your SUV, picket fence and 2.1 kids? YOU should be protesting the widening gap between the rich and the poor and stop indulging in the fantasy that somehow,, by hell or high lotttery ticket, - you too will someday be a member of that top 1%. Cause brother, unless theres a radical change in this country - it ain't happening.
jprattie,
the poor opted not to protest
them Walmart workers and Nascar folks is heppy, heppy, heppy and votin' Republican com hell or high water
so what that means to the rest of us is that being cash poor in America ain't all bad
these folks would rather vote their opinions and their allegiances: right to life, flag, military, a punishing God then seek then fight for a 50cent per hour raise
so, if lots of po folks see it that way, that's their god-given right
may as well enjoy that thar SUV and em cute litl 2.1 kids after all
How is any radical change going to put everyone in the top 1%???? By definition we all can't be in the top 1%.. Why would anyone have a problem with people having houses w/white picket fences, SUVS, 2.1 kids. Silly socialists think that rich people are out to get them. Go to work, save, invest and you can live a good life too. Don't be mad at the top 1%, and don't expect to join them, life is not that complicated
The republican party sure does have a BIG tent. They have 2 dummycrats running for the GOP nomination.
I respect McCain for his service, sorry John, it's time to go fishing. GOP nominated another one who has "paid his dues" in '96, and we see what that brought.
jonesey
"After he came home, he walked with a limp, she [Carol McCain] walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona [Cindy McCain, his current wife] and the rest is history."
NICE FAMILY VALUES THERE, McCAIN. Your a traitor to your wife AND your fellow military families.
Hey, you die hard Repdub---try to remember that your idol Reagan did the same thing. He tossed his wife Jane aside for that little starlet Nancy. Remember?
how can you call someone a traitor when there hasn't been any proof. I've been to Vietnam and have seen some remnants of the war, and let me say that you'd be sick if you saw some of the things the Vietcong did to American soldiers. I think it's bogus that you can accuse someone of being a traitor when YOU don't have all of the facts either.
