Jonathan is campaigning for Obama as always. Try as he many, looks as if he couldn't convince Perot to endorse Obama; however, he did choose a misleading title for his article in order to create a false impression that Perot backs Obama. Jonathan is intellectually dishonest.

It is difficult for me to understand why men and women like Ross Perot our NOT leading us. In stead we elect men like George Bush whom sold the American People out. We now know whom will be the next President. I guess we can only hope and pray that he too turns from his wicked ways. I do not have allot of optimism. I love America but dislike America's Leaders.

It's difficult for me to understand why men like Ross Perot are not our elected leaders. It pains me to see truly smart men and women not leading us. In stead we elect George Bush and are ruled by the elistests.
I believe we will come-out of this time but the dreams we once had for our country may not ever be realised again.

People can say what they want about Perot, but what happened in his election about threats has recently been revealed to be true. I liked and voted for Perot even though anyone that has that much money and influence is to much a part of the NWO for me.

With all of this "evidence, evidence, evidence" available it's too bad Mr. Perot or the author of this article, Mr. Alter, couldn't present any to the readers. That must be just a coincidence. Instead we are presented with the same rumors and innuendo many of us have heard for years now with exception to this new tidbit about McCain supposedly blocking efforts to rescue POWs. Without some hard proof, I'm going to have a hard time believing that a man who spent over 5 years being tortured in one of these POW camps would return home only to stifle efforts to rescue his fellow countrymen from the same fate. That makes absolutely no sense at all.

It's truly sad to witness what passes for "news" these days. It's even sadder when the target of such tripe is a man who has sacrificed more for our country than most would in 10 lifetimes. I may not agree entirely with McCain's politics, but I will not stand by while he is tore to shreds by these sickening lies. Mr. Perot and Mr. Alter should be ashamed of themselves.

Too bad we didn't have video phones & the internet back then or else we would have plenty of ammo against McCain if his current gaffe-a-day is any indicator.

    • Posted By: Marc Berry @ 06/09/2008 5:10:12 PM

I agree 100% this is just another exaple of the media putting a spin on a story with no evidence at all to create higher ratings for themselves.

I googled this article after reading the UK Mail's story about Carol McCain. It is sad that the UK knows more truth about this story than anyone in the US. Why hasn't the US covered the story about McCain's character??

J - maybe the same reason they didn't tell the FACTS on this stupid little muslim untill he had already gotten ahead of Clinton. You know, Sitting in a "church" for 20 years listening to hate sermons aimed at white people.
Or the friendship to a domestic terrorist.
Or the friendship to a Syrian crook.
Or his early childhood in Indonesia.
      Or his Farrakan buddies.
Or his hateful, UGLY wifes hate for whites.
Or his homosexual/ coke snorting limo rides.
Or the dead choir director from his church.
      Or his 30 "present" votes.
Or his lack of interest for our troops in Iraq.
Or the video of his wifes racial rants.
Or the REAL vision he has for this country.
      etc.
      etc.
      etc.
Wonder why the media hid all of this from America untill after he was ahead?
Could the LIBERAL media be biased?!?!
Time is ticking on this wussy, and it WILL all come out.

This Huachuca dude really needs to go out into the desert and pray that God will fill his heart with love and understanding, instead of hatred and lies.

There are hundreds of miles of desert around Fort Huachuca. Beautiful solitude. Just you and God.

Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat to a white person and was arrested, jailed, & convicted of disorderly conduct. In many places she could have been just as easily dragged to the town square & lynched, no questions asked. That is the reality Wright grew up with, did you? Church for many blacks is the only place where they can air their frustrations for the shameful way they have been and continue to be treated WITHOUT FEAR OF REPRISAL.

I won't even bother to respond to the rest of the hate you are spewing.

GM H. The homosexual coke incident never happened. Larry Sinclair admitted he lied about it after failing two polygraphs. If you are going to post this long list then we Obama supporters should retaliate and post dirt about McCain. Hes not so clean. We can dig up plenty of dirt, esp. how he calls his beloved wife that certain nasty and demeaning word.. We can do that all day if need be. Is this what you want? It's not what I want.

Concerned Ctzn, are you OUT OF YOUR MIND saying that "W" did nothing to defeat Roe vs. Wade? It has been the stated goal of the religious right to appoint conservative judges to overturn Roe vs. Wade for years. Bush is on board with this plan. Every single judge that Bush appointed to every single Federal bench that came open during his tenure was a right wing Christian conservative. The Democrats were stymied when the GOP controlled congress, and Bush got to appoint two right wing Supreme Court Justices.

First Bush appointed John Roberts to replace Sandra Day O'Connor when she stepped down. When Chief Justice Wm. Rehnquist died in 2005, Bush appointed Roberts as Chief Justice, and then filled O'Connor's empty chair with Samuel Alito. Both Roberts and Alito are Catholic, and both are outspoken against abortion.

Bush has appointed two of the nine Justices, including the Chief Justice. The current Supreme Court has been sharply divided on a number of high profile issues, including abortion rights, affirmative action, eminent domain, gay rights, the separation of church and state, sovereign immunity, and states' rights. The number of close votes in cases involving these areas suggests that a change of one or two key justices could completely shift the thinking of the Court on such issues.

Right now there are four Justices who are elderly and will soon either retire or die. The next President will get to appoint at least two new Justices. If the next President is McCain, those two will both be conservative right wing Christians. McCain has publicly PROMISED to do this, and explicitly said that his goal is to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

Most Americans, even most Republicans, value the separation of church and state. That clause is in our Constitution to protect us from exactly what is going on in America today! Allowing any religious group (especially a radical one) to control the interpretation and application of our laws in the highest court in the land is NOT democratic. Nor is it wise.

I don't care if you are a disappointed Hillary supporter or an undecided Independent or a life-long Republican or are pro-Obama. ANYONE, regardless of stripe, needs to vote against a candidate who had declared his intention of appointing partisan judges. Judges are supposed to be impartial. That is the basis of our legal system. Without that, you might as well live in a dictatorship, without recourse to law.

Ross Perot cracks me up. All his money and he didn't know Obama was not Muslim. I find it tragic that
McCain ditched his disabled wife who waited those years for his return for a younger rich model.
He wants our VOTE. Please, he is the typical "womanizer" that women hate. She needed him and he dumps her for Cindy. I'd love to talk to his EX

"dmhirschy: He (Perot) is a stand-up man with great ideas and strong morals."

Such a man shouldn't have a problem providing evidence to backup such strong claims, then, should he? In fact, such a man should have provided evidence along with such claims, but he did not. And, that is where Mr. Perot has proven to be the opposite of everything you thought he was. That was the only "evidence" of anything I could cull from the article.

  • Posted By: Marc Berry @ 06/09/2008 5:13:02 PM

who the heck is Perot anyway I am not sure if I remember corectly but did'nt he drop out of that pesedential race because some negative dirt was dugg up on one of his daughters??

  • Posted By: dmhirschy @ 06/09/2008 3:34:31 PM

When I was 8 years old, Mr. Perot was running for President. I was the only student in my school to cast a vote him. I just wish I had had the opportunity to cast a real ballot for him. He is a stand-up man with great ideas and strong morals.

Obama's victory has numerous implications, and things are going to change right from America to all corners of the world. In America, it is now clear and known by most people that Republicans actually do not have anything good to offer, but have enjoyed so many years of dirty politics and tricks.

If Obama is not able to win in the general elections, we do not have to blame him. Because McCain can only win if and only if (iff) people decide to vote by color, and not by considering things such as intelligence and the content of the message preached.

Obama has changed the way politics is going to be played in America forever. Even if he is not able to win because he is black, his influence will still remain in American politics and generations to come will start talking about common sense and to address real issues instead of following the same old dirty politics of the Republican party that have left many people poor in America.

How on earth can a country like America continue to have many of their citizens deprived of simple health care? This, in fact, is very shameful, and Republicans are to be blamed for this situation as they have run the white house more than the Democrats in the History of America. This should be a challenge to the people of America to throw the Repulican party out of the white house, and to give Obama, a man with clear vision, the chance to steer the affairs of America in the coming years.

    God bless Obama!
    God bless the Democratic Party!
    God bless America!

    A good read.

I recall listening to Perrot when, on the Larry King show, he made the decision to run for president. I was impressed with his position of adding a fifty cents tax on gasoline totally dedicated to reducing the national
debt. I voted for Regan the first time he ran when he said we could not go on with Carter pointing out he annual deficit of $74 billion and a national debt of 3/4 of a trillion, promising to balance the deficit and debt.

Of course he more than tripled both. When he ran again he really insuted my intelligence, basically saying to give him four more years to do what he previousle promised and the, basically said "They should pass a law against what I'm doing, mening, of course the Rudmand Act requiring a balance dbudjet which the Republicans defeated.

.I , along with 19% of the voters, voted for Perot.

I know this may be reaching a bit, but after watching the perpetual poor showing of McCain, who seems to be digging himself a deeper and deeper hole daily by his own comments, has anyone considered the possibility that the republicans have no intention of putting up a candidate who could possibly be elected? Real republicans (not the psycho neo-cons in the current administration) actually care about our country, and it's been seeming more and more to me that they intend to put Obama in the WH. I've never seen the republicans put such a poor candidate in front of the general public - especially with the army of spin doctors, acting coaches, and speech writers I'm sure they have on the payroll...

Has anyone considered the possibility (and this may be reaching) that with how badly the Bush/Cheney administration screwed up our country that the republicans have no intention of trying to put forth a candidate that could be elected for the sake of unifying the country with the help of the democrats? As much as they differ, real republicans still love this country. I've never known a single republican candidate to show as poorly as McCain does - he doesn't even seem to be trying to paint a good picture of himself. Aren't there an army of spin doctors, speech writers and acting coaches working for the republicans that would at least make McCain seem plausible as a candidate? It seems on a daily basis he's destroying his own credibility...

LOL, I honestly cannot believe that ANYONE would take McCain "McBush" seriously. Surely there is no one out there really considering him for President. Is there?
