Barak Hussein Obama is not a muslim. He has stated his that his religious roots did not take place until later in life. The United Trinity Church of which he is a member in Illinois teaches liberation theology which is nothing more than Marxism in disguise. We now have Black Liberation Theology being preached in the black community in America. It's the same Marxist, revolutionist, humanistic theology found in the South American Liberation Theology and has no more claim for a scriptural basis than the South American model has. False doctirne is still false no matter how you dress it. As far as Obama is concerned, are we looking at a Marxists whose views are similar to to the doctrines of the church he attends? Just because he calls himself a christian doesn't mean he is one. Seems he would make a good president if you are Afro- American or a terrorist. Wake up America!!!!!

Despite the aggressive, highly publicized campaign against the Clintons in the 90's, they were never found guilty of any crimes. Bill had an affair with an over-aged intern - if that is a crime, then most of the men in our society would be in jail. The soap opera was a product of the republicans and not fact based, and obviously successful in causing society to question the morality of the Clintons. Again, they were cleared of all charges, but somehow we prefer the hooplah created by the media than the truth. And hooplah is exactly what Obama's campaign is all about. I find it distressing that we prefer a candidate who is evasive at best, and unproven, than one who has been tried and tested over many years, and has demonstrated her capacity by emerging strong. I'm not willing to take a chance on an unknown idealist. I wouldn't hire an idealist unproven talent to run my corporation and I certainly would not elect him to run my country.

Health care for all Americans would be great. What we need is for all Americans (Senators, Congress etc.) that retire to pay their share of taxes and to be in the same Social Securtity plan that the working class has. I thought that we were created equal. Something needs to be done about this.

    • Posted By: Bless you @ 01/21/2008 12:17:23 PM

I agree that health care for all would be great, and I support that--but you need to get your information from something other than hoax emails. Federal civilian employees including members of Congress hired since 1983 have been REQUIRED to pay into the Social Security system just like you and me since 1984. that email claiming they don't has been around for 8 years, so it was way out of date when it first turned up.

I think it is so odd that no one ever mentions that his name is "Barack Hussein Obama"....am I the only person who had a loved one die in Iraq due in part because of a man named Hussein, and here we are considering putting a man into our White House as our Leader with the same name. I think it is discusting.

I'm sorry for your loss... but you are dumb.

    • Posted By: dolarbil @ 01/21/2008 8:50:06 AM

dianei, please explain to me the connection you are making between Obama and Saddam Hussein based on a name. Although Obama is not muslim, his father is from a muslim country - hence his name. Hussein, Muhammad, etc. are common names like George, Robert, and John is Anglican countries. You are really showing your ignorance of the world. it is ignorance of this nature that keeps America locked down in the mud of racism, sexism and all the other -isms. your ignorance is disgusting.

seriously? how can anyone want to support someone who what to give our country away to people who dont deserve it? i work my tale off and so does my husband. we struggle every month to pay bills and yet we know that thats what has to be done. no one else is supose to do it for us. i have my own individual health insurance that my family pays for out of pocket. and if i can have insurance anyone who is able to work should have their own insurance. why would you want the government to control the hospitals? they will shut down just like all the hospitals in other countries. so do not live off the government and when someone wants to run my country into the ground by saying they are going to "help" with the insurance. they really just want to keep you down. they want you to depend on them. what ever happened to pride? what ever happened to patriotism? he never defended himself on putting his hand on his heart while my country was being praised.

Another statement made by Obama (Jan 21, 2008) that is now being misquoted by the media:

In an interview broadcast Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America," Obama said the former president "has taken his advocacy on behalf of his wife to a level that I think is pretty troubling" by making statements that are not supported by the facts.
"This has become a habit, and one of the things that we're going to have to do is to directly confront Bill Clinton when he's making statements that are not factually accurate," Obama said.
What Obama actually said and can be verified by listening to the tape is:
"This has become a habit, and one of the things that we're going to have to do is to directly confront Bill Clinton when he's not making statements that are factually accurate". Apparently the media feels that Obama is unable to express his exact meaning and therefore changes his quote to make it sound better for him. Real presidential material.

Unfortunately the polticians in this country for the past forty years, THAT I CAN RECALL, have been doing nothing but lining their pockets and giving themselves huge raises and retirements.
They need to start working for the AMERICAN PEOPLE, not illegal aliens nor special interest groups, would be nice if one of them would take a stand for the AMERICAN WORKER, and ALL Americans!

Just a point of information: Not willing to lend credence to some vicious e-mails, I send a e-mail inquiry to OBAMA"S Church. Over two weeks later, no response to a sincere inquiry. Very disappointed NOT IN OBAMA BUT RATHER THE CHURCH. They should be more forthcoming. ondra69

they are all calling for some sort of health reform, doing something about the war in iraq, ect. ect... But they are all just giving lip service. None seem to have a handle on what will actually work. And I am sure they are not privy to the secrets that government keeps from us all so they can't have a clear picture of the problems one of them will eventually face. I think that they all should have to take a lie detector test, and submit an employment application with background check and drug screening, just like every other regular job. And the results of tests and employment verification should be searchable and verifiable for the american public. I'd be interested to see just who would then be the most qualified individual to take the presidency.

I am not surprised after viewing readers comments. This Country is divided and nothing shows it more the intolerance displayed on both sides of the spectrum.

My initial response was to totally disregard these scurilous e-mails against OBAMA. However, to placate myself, I sent a e-mail of inquiry to his CHURCH. It has been several weeks and so far they seem to be ignoring my inquiry. lturner6911@verizon.net

This blog is so full of misinformation that it wasn't even worth the time to read. Hillary touts her "experience" in the White House. Well, if she was so knowledgeable about her husband's activities in the Oval Office, the whole Monica Lewinsky scandal never would have happened.

    • Posted By: quazma @ 01/21/2008 10:10:44 AM

If I remember correctly, Lewinski has had more experience in the White House than Hillary.... Maybe she should run for president?

Obama is deceptive about everything he talks about. He has become very good at taking Hillary Clinton's answers out of context and twisting them around to make it look like she is changing her position to suit the polls - today he made jokes about her answer to the question in the Las Vegas Debate, "What is your greatest weakness?" I thought he was rather naive in his answer which showed his lack of experience and made me wonder if he was really paying attention to the fact that he was in the middle of a Presidential debate. He said that his desk was always messy and he misplaced papers all the time and needed someone to keep up with his agenda (not his exact words but pretty much the way I remember it). He also said if he had been allowed to answer last instead of first he would have known what was going on and how he should have answered the question. Sounds like someone with a drug problem to me! Or maybe he needed a pick-me-up or some "blow" as he calls it. I believe that Hillary answered that she was too impatient sometimes to change things too quickly - sounds like she knows herself very well and will stop and think about the consequences of changing things without sound judgment. He also made jokes about her answer to how she voted on the bill to change bankruptcy laws. I believe she said she voted for the bill in committee but by the time it got to the Senate floor it had been changed and she was glad that it had not passed. Barack Obama is so uneducated he believes his name Barack is an African name when in reality it is a Hebrew/Jewish name from the Old Testament of God's Holy Bible in the Book of Judges. Mr. Obama should stick to the issues instead of making jokes about other people - it just shows his ignorance.

    • Posted By: quazma @ 01/21/2008 10:02:54 AM

That joke you are talking about apparently went over your head. No surprise there...
He actually answered honestly, his biggest PERSONAL weakness. Hillary (along with the rest) blew smoke up your butt... But you accepted it as truth. Now, tell me which one of you are more naive?

This site gives a biased view of Obama's candidacy. There's hope tough that people will realize how much narrow-minded people are actually controlling the media, and how much money the Clinton's can afford 2 spend on 'favourable coverage'.
If u look at the state of affairs in America right now, just affordable healthcare would be a great step forward. (if evrybody has at least the oppurtunity of providing healthcare for themselves and there loved ones wouldn't that be a great improvement ?)
To vote for hope and integrity is 2 vote for Obama. If u want some more DEMOCRAZY and dispair vote for someone else.

  • Posted By: jerrytsai @ 01/17/2008 2:48:18 PM

These are relevant points, but they are minor compared to the fudging of facts and the sometimes outright lies being issued by the Clinton campaign. The idea behind Obama's health proposal is that it will be universally affordable. And Obama's strident protest of the Iraq war was not only prescient but emphatic. Sure he may have been careful about how he approached the war AFTER the war was engaged, but that is simply prudence, not inconsistency. Once the President committed our troops, Obama voted to make sure that the soldiers in the field had financial backing, which is the right thing to do.

If you want to look at "creative clippings," you need not look further than Bill Clinton's bogus claim that some voters in Nevada will have 5 times the power of other voters (debunked by the Las Vegas Sun) or Hillary Clinton's mailer in New Hampshire that questioned Obama's stance on abortion rights, which falsely represented his votes in the Illinois senate (debunked by several publications)

Just make sure that Obama doesn't give the reparation for all african american ($1MIL each?)here in the states. They should get that money from their ancestors who sold their great grand parents to the whites not americans.

What has Hillary Clinton said, that has you convinced she can fix the issues of gasoline prices, health insurance and helping to get your kids through college. She has made many promises, but to too many people. She can't possibly fix everything that she has said she will. Not in a time of recession when money is needed to stimulate the economy and the US. having to compete for jobs that are going oversees. We need someone that will try to deliver results that has not made promises to every constituent and accepts money from PACs that she will owe her allegiance to.

    • Posted By: jackal123 @ 01/21/2008 3:53:57 AM

Obama is bi racial... 59% black and 50% muslim in blood.

  • Posted By: Efemax @ 01/21/2008 1:20:57 AM

Justin Bank what is wrong with your sense of fairness? Do you think there is truly anyone or any politician out there who can give Americans full and complete healthn coverage? Please get real! The man from the get go refused to support Bush sending troops to Iraq while Hillary said sending troops was absolutely necessary and now you are judging Obama on his stands on Iraq? I do not know who you are. Whether black or white. Lets not make this election a race thing. Obama is the only one who has been able to stay above all the lies being shoved down the throats of Americans by the former White House tenants.

  • Posted By: jerjpatterson @ 01/21/2008 12:00:25 AM

I find it comical to harass Obama's policies on health care based on the principle that it "Does not promise that every american WILL have health care coverage, "only" that it will make it obtainiable for every american". And this is a bad things? Is it sucha bad thing to expect that americans might have to step up to the plate and take responsibility for taking care of themselves Thats right...i forgot, people shouldnt have to EARN anything...we should just become a welfare-country where all taxpayers have no choice BUT to pay out of pocket to support others. What a load of crap. As an american living in a free society it is morally reprehensible to say that i should have to pay for others health care...while those not paying for the system get to use it. Just another page i the "Give me a hand out" phisolosphy being pushed by hillary clinton and the likes. Just remember folks...as far as "honesty" in campaining is concerned...this is a retarded point. There never has been an "honest" politician since the days of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Truth does not exist in politics. And if you think Obama is the only one with some holes in his stores, do some research on Hillary, her husband, and the special privileges her family got to enjoy. Take another look at John Kerry's former campaign. You show me an honest politician who isnt a crook....and I'll show you someone to vote for. What a Joke!
