    You erroneously identified Sollecito as Kercher's former boyfriend. He was Knox's boyfriend at the time of the murder.

      I hear what you're saying. As an American woman and mother who has traveled abroad extensively, and whose daughter lived in England and Ireland, let me tell you that many of these exchange students are spoiled children of the rich, who have grown up doing anything they wanted to....having everything handed to them on a silver tray.
      So when they get to Italy, of course they CONTINUE to go wild self-indulgent as always. Since they haven't been taught morals, lying comes easy. It's too bad, but she was probably wigged out when she killed her friend. But with high-powered, paid off jurists and lawyers, she'll get off. I have faith in it.

      I'm an American woman and I live abroad -- and sadly, there are a lot of girls out there not exactly thinking with their brains and doing really dumb things because they're not in their own countries. But this is a problem everyone has, not just American girls. -- And none of this matters because no matter how stupid you act, you don't deserve to be raped or murdered, period.

      I am a young American and proud of it. I do not think with my ***, in fact, my day to day living involves going to my job and raising my kid and providing a good home for my family. I work hard and I always have, so lets try to leave the bigotry somewhere else okay? As for this case, lets try to remember that the media prints only what they want us to know. None of us have all the facts of the case yet. I will say this, I am an investigator, that is how I earn my living. I have never run across somebody who smoked so much pot that they have no memory of the night before, yet somehow have the energy to sexually abuse and murder a person. Sorry, that story just doesn't fit. If they were that stoned they would have been sitting in front of the tv watching cartoons, not raping and murdering a young girl, so right away the red flag come up for me. Frankly, I feel that she is using the pot story as a possible excuse, an alibi if you will. While her and her boyfriend's DNA is ot unusual in the home, or the room for that matter, the placement of the DNA is telling. For example, the DNA could be in a bed or bathroom, that is normal. On or in the body...clearly that is not. I am assuming, of course, that by DNA we are really saying, body fluids.

    Sounds like we have a celebrity female murderer who is a sociopath as well. Look at her unguarded face as she comes into the courtroom. It reminds me of Pamela Smart, the spoiled little girl who had her lover kill her husband, so she could make it big as a TV broadcaster!!!???? Same narcissism.

    For the record, according to the article, they have yet to be charged and are just being held. If they were in America, they would have already been released from jain and still legally innocent. Who knows what happened??? The victim didn't deserve to die but just because people do drugs or drink in excess doesn't mean that they are also sluts and/or murderers. Let's wait and see once a trial happens what evidence comes to light.

Most folks across the globe undertand the distinction between individuals and societies and those that don't had us convicted before this event. And note that her alleged co-conspirators are Italians . . . shall Italy boot them out? Shall we conclude that the nation of Italy is a Gomorra? Whaddya suggest, grandma, putting the American exchangers thru charm school before they are allowed to depart our shores? Yanking them back here if they smoke hooch? Have sex (ooo, now there's an immature activity!)? She's a grown up. And, BTW, "foreigners" have whatever op[inions they have of "Americans" for reasopns that go well beyond the occasional salacious event such as this. Get a sense of perspective. Nah, just get a life.         Unfortunately, exchange students ARE "ours." If more students would be more responsible and realize they're ambassadors of their own countries, it'd be really nice. See, it's this problem most people of any nationality have called stereotyping. Most people will seperate a government from the people, but if people see a bunch of (enter country here) people acting a certain manner, they start to assume everyone acts that way until they meet someone else. Trust me, I live abroad and I'm glad I can pretend to be a non-Westerner sometimes.

    Everything we hear or read is at least second-hand as well. This happened in Italy, not Chicago. Americans aren't getting day to day updates on this case. In fact, I just read about this case tonight and it's already seems to be a great deal of running around. All of them have half assed stories. Two were high while the other was the weed man. It doesn't look too good that Ms. Knox had whatever descriptions or ideas about herself depicting her in a less than wholesome manner on her myspace/facebook. (her myspace account has been deleted) To me, this all seems like a really good sleuth flick and the real murderer may actually get away with it all. There's no way to tell, I don't think. Maybe Sollecito was right though. Justice may prevail.

    I agree with misskittie, if she was innocent she wouldn't change her story, and the other people involved are just as freakn' stupid. The excuses and different stories they seem to tell everytime they are questioned about the DNA is ridiculous... I think my 5 year old nephew could make up better lies... dumb, dumb, dumb!!!

Italy and it's government has better things to do than stitch up Amanda Knox and her ITALIAN friends. She is doing a great job of stiching herself up into a 20 year sentence for murder. I base this on the fact that she keeps changing her story for her own benefit. Innocent people don't change their stories as there is only one tale to tell, the damn truth!!     The suspects are all obviously lying. I bet the Knox and Krecher's boyfriend were both in it. The were clearly together getting high so maybe they did it out if spite. All i know is i saw there guilty
