‘Demons in the Dark’

Once again a top-tier media entity has fallen victim to the, "we are a national publication, so our writers and editors are smarter than everyone else" syndrome and produced a sublime piece of excrement for journalism. This miasma of sophistry, non-sequiters and just plain ignorance is an embarrassment. Your writers and editors have made fools of themselves and their magazine.

I particularly admire the closing example. It mimics a low moment in the "Peter Jennings Reports UFOs: Seeing is Believing" documentary when SETI Director Dr. Jill - I once mistook the moon for a UFO, so forget this UFO nonsense and build me another radio telescope - Tarter made a fool of herself by dismissing 60 years of research by thousands of people and the testimony of hundreds of emerging government witnesses because she and her husband had a senior moment while driving one night.

Newsweek is capable of excellent journalism. In this case it has bought into the government propaganda campaign behind the UFO/ET truth embargo. Having followed Newsweek's coverage of the Iraq war, I know for a fact this magazine is better than this piece of tripe. Wake up.

So, what WERE those lights? The article doesnt dispute that the observers saw "something". And, since the phenomenom are still UNidentified, but scientists are saying that the observers saw something and then imposed their own imaginations on it, what do the scientists say the lights actually were?

Are you saying that all these people imagined the phenomenom itself, or just the identity of it? You successfully changed the subject, but I still want to know what they actually saw.

Good morning., My name is Wylhelm Linaje, When my son Erik was born 32 years ago we lived in WestPalm Beach,Fl.. So we had to to go every wekend to Miami to see the granfather and granma and then return to W.P.B. Sunday night as we were gettig close to exit #40 on the turnpike I spotted in front of us a flying saucer I pulled to the side of the road and went to the trunk of my car got the Camera and proceeded to take some pictures . ahead of mea Greyhound bus parked in front of us and 20 to 25 passengers came out of the bus and also witness what I saw .,we all could see small windows ,light flashing on the lower part of the Disc and then it tilted 35 degrees then it was level again and with attonishing speed went East , now if I go east 3 miles away is the AirPort, I called the airport and asked if they had picked up anything on their Radar they told me no. remember Erik my son was just born my wife and I looked at each other and we said lets get out of here ,I was shaken like a leaf. We got home and I must have 15 relatives and friends and tol them what we had just witness.

Want to see how many religious people we can tick off at once?

Ever wonder why it was only back in biblical times that angels came to earth and communicated with humans? Maybe they were really aliens that actually talked to them. They spoke to humans and set the paths to organized religion. Now they just come back in their ships to observe the advancement of their "experiment".

Any one person can explain any of these experiences any way that they see fit. And any one person can put it out there for others to read, just as I have. Just because I put it in print, doesn't make it true. I for one believe there is life outside our world. Just as I believe there is a God. Just because I haven't seen either one with my own eyes, doesn't make it untrue. All you can do is listen to what others have claimed to have seen or exerienced and draw your own conclusion. I choose to not be so narrow minded with my perception. Take from this post what you will.

For scientist to suggest that UFO sightings are just psychological delusions, then it would be fair to suggest that scientists themselves are delusional for the reason that there ambition is to have an explanation for all things and to suggest that there is nothing in existance that has a higher intelligence then the human scientist, not to mension most of the press in America including Newsweek with there obvious attitued of a self suggestive notion that Newsweek journalism is elite and much more intelligent than the majoity of Americans. Just a speculation. In my opinion, it is delusional to suggest that of all the infinite space in the universe, we, the all mighty human! are the only and most intelligent beings in the universe! Oh, the vanity of modern day science and the mainstream press!

First the word UFO means just that its unidentified it does not means little green men for mars, what they saw could have been anything even if it was seen by 30 people and why does every UFO have red and green lights it sounds like a plane or jet ..

For one thing a ufo does not mean its a space ship with little green men in side. but it does mean its unidentified so it could be anything people are quick to say o look a ufo its a space ship from mars man you all need to stop watching ghosthunters and get real!!!

Do you really think we are a bunch of idiots!! The report of a UFO sighting is more believable than your lame explanation of mass hallucinations! To suggest that a group of unrelated individuals had the same hallucination at the same time and with the same detail is ludacris!

we live on a planet that spins in a mass universe. we use a tiny portion of our brain. why is it so many people think it is impossible that their could be other forms of life in the universe. or maybe the governments all get together to deney this because they just don't want us to know.

If one person is having a imginary vision is acceptable tat the centist think they are having allucination, but when more tham a dozem people stated that they see te same objet flying ove their city, it is impossible that all of hem are having the same alluination, unless the goverment cam prove it somenthing on the city water that is drowzing them at the seme time

I was young maybe 12 years old . Ican here the so called brains say ah hah. HE MUST HAVE A OVER ACTIVE BRAIN . But i think the so called brains of the world are suported by the goverment by grants so they have to have answers . But the goverment sit back and says nothing ? They don't know . Scientists say it is in the brain you are tired , took the wrong drugs, the moon is there ,the sun is in your eyes , so on ,so on
What they don,t say is the truth . How do we think that we are the only brain like thing inthis world . THE SMART ONE time said we cannot fly , we cannot travle over 60 miles an hours untillit happen . They say it cannot happen till it happen then say o that because we need more studies on this subject? Get more money . They will not say maybe GOD hase some thing to do with it ?Maybe GOD lets us learn so much at a time , maybe there is no world it is only my brain that think these thing are happened. These explanations of some psychological phenomena might be applicable in some circumstances, but is utterly ridiculous in this situation. What they are impying is that a group of people can't see an object they have never seen before and describe what they saw. Scientists do this all of the time and so do people. Scientists study things all the time and reasoning from what they know, learn to understand the new thing they are looking at. Perhaps, the earliest sightings of UFOs resulted in calling them Angels and other superstitious things, because of a lack of knowledge as the scientists cite. However, air flight is a common experience today and humans have been seeing these things a long time, some of them close enough to tell you their characteristics. It is more ridiculous for so-called scientists to believe in mass hallucination and some deep dark psychological quirk that makes everyone hallucinate simply because they see a flying vehicle that is not recognized as a human technology? Who is hallucinating here? I can look up into the sky and see a helicopter and tell it is different from an airplane. I can look up into the sky and see a hot air balloon and distinguish it from a blimp, but I must be hallucinating if I see a flying object that hovers and has lights and is silent. Are these really scientists? I had a sighting even more intriguing than the one in Texas and these guys can come up with all the far-fetched explanations they want, but I know what I saw, just as I know I am writing a response to this article now. Perhaps, my writing this response is a hallucination.

Well i look at it this way . If you our any one else think we are the only thing in this or any other world they are the sick ones. The so called the smart ones of the world say this cannot happen till it happens . If one want to believe that there is no world it is only your imagnaion . But who's BRAIN IS THINK THESE THOUGH .

I think creatures on our planet god created are so plenty, just like how we want to know how many creatures are there deep down the sea, we can't really count them all or recognize them all cos there are too many. So does other creatures like those live outside in bima sakti galaxy or even other galaxies.
I dont think we should be frightened that we are not alone, instead we should realise that this is not coincidental nor it is just hallutination. We instead suppose to believe that alien life are there.
