So, you are trying a new tact to disprove that UFO or alien lifeforms exist. I saw a UFO on two different occasions and I was neither sleep deprived, hallucinating, or otherwise imaging what I saw. I saw them as clearly as I am seeing my computer right now. The only reason I don't speak about my sightings is because I know there are fools around that will laugh and try to make up theories of why I "thought " I saw them. Most peopl

In the process we call science, many things are proved or disproved over the course of history. Widely accepted theories are cast aside when new theories, and their supporting science, prove them to be unlikely or just plain false. Until you have repeatable, observable evidence, it is still theory. If Galileo hadn't been a devout and faithful Roman Catholic, his fate might have been worse than house arrest until his death for challenging dogma by supporting and PROVING the theories of Copernicus by observation.

We still live in a time where hundreds, or thousands, of people can die each day as a direct result of religious disagreement. On the horizon, however, is a future where faith traditions and science will converge with a new vision of our world and the universe, and God, that will be embraced by all but the most deranged and radical fundamentalists.

The people in Texas saw SOMETHING. OK. When all of the psychologists and UFOlogists weigh in, I suspect that the evidence will point to the usual. And the only evidence will be eyewitness accounts. All of us, to some degree, yearn to understand and see a power greater than ourselves. People of faith can claim the presence of this in their lives, and people who see something extraordinary KNOW that they saw it. Theorize and explain away all you want, but one theory remains standing, and that is that any sufficiently advanced technology will be indistinguishable from magic.

The real problem is the geneal misunderstanding of the laws of the Universe. For eample, see: http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/Science/2006/06/07/theory_predicts_measured_values_of_physics/5865/ for links to an explanation of an Aether theory. A being from another world can tap into the Aether (space-time) for unimited energy. If we can figure this out, so can other intellegences.

When are we going to SHUTup the people with retarded explanations of what REAL people see and experience. WE are seeing real craft and have experienced "close encounbters".
For the last thousands of years, every single civilization has seen and experienced the same exact things.
They even draw them on cave walls, write about them in ancient writings and stories.
All throughout history these legends and stories have been told and read, and every time so called "scientists " and or "theologians" have called them swamp gas, mass hallucinations, weather ballons, or worse shake it off and say that they are just MYTH.
I am here to say WE are no longer putting up with your lies and stupidity.
You call yourselves scientists, you are more like ostriches, burying your heads in the sand and talking out of your asses.
WE DO NOT care anymore about what your scientific opinion is. You were never there. You never experienced what we have.
I don't care for "aliens" they "F - up" peoples lives without explanation or reason.
Rather they are beings on other planets, time travelers, and or SATAN'S Minions... PURE EVIL, i do not care. I am HUMAN, i and WE do not need their crappy technologies nor do we need their lies.
Its bad enough the government is working with them and lying to us too.
I DO NOT in any way see that they are "HELPING US". Either the "ALIENS" or GOVERNMENT!
All i see is pure DECEPTION. And all of "YOU".. will find out at the end you have all been deceived and will more likely die with the rest of us, when the SHI@ hits the fan.
Whatever END TIMES scenerio is your favorite, I am positive that one of them will happen.
And the people that think they can hide under mountains in air condition rooms, while 90% of the population dies, just remember that THEY will come after you too. Like sardines in a can.
3.5 billion people can over throw any alien invasion and or NWO bull shi@.
like George bush sr, and Clinton once said "GET READY"
Go to get ready dot come. HAHAHAHHAAHAH

    Thank You.

I usually read "everything"....but I didn't even bother to read all of this article....because it's slanted and "lined" with complete dumb-dumb bs ideas explaining away UFO pheonomenon. I can tell the authors know nothing about the real reality around us.
Listen folks...it's not about believeing or disbelieving UFO's or out pre-human development aura...Alein and "little grays" have been monitoring us for centuries. signed:"Abductee the knows the truth"

comment to page two ; for Michael Persinger , So your saying if a magnetic charge in just the right place on the brain from an shift in the earths crust could in fact cause mass hysteria ? Than it would stand to reason people living on the equator would all be schizophrenic .

I sincerely believe that some people mistake phenomina for UFO's, but I truly believe that I have seen at least two different sightings that must be explained to me in order for me to change my mind. My first sighting: a laser beam that traveled from one planet or star to another, and then back again. This happened on a clear a still night. Sighting number two: A perfectly round milky colored sphere that traveled in a straight line at a steady altitude without sound. The speed and distance of course difficult to determine, but I would guess from three to five hundred feet and approximately 60 to 80 MPH. The object did nit change size, shape, color, speed or altitude.

If someone has a plausible explaination for either of these sightings, I would like to hear it. By the way, I have seen swamp gas.

What a superficial article. It reads like it was meant to provide security to a psyche that is unable to accept realities other than those learned as a child or taught by today???s ???recognized??? institutions. Sleep depravation ??? are you serious? Sure, I???ll grant that may account for a percentage of sightings. Are you insinuating that ALL 50 or so people in Stephenville were sleep deprived and ALL had a very similar hallucination ??? at the same time? Utterly ridiculous. What scientists are you talking to about intergalactic space travel? Check out Ablative Laser Propulsion and Anti-Gravity Propulsion. Not science fiction; real stuff. But, of course, mainstream America hasn???t seen it, so it can???t be true ??? right? The people in Stephenville saw something that was not a hallucination. Could have been alien; could have been military. The military works with highly classified crafts and propulsion systems that not even all presidents have been privy to ??? including anti-gravity propulsion. Check out www.disclosureproject.org and watch the press conference video. Careful though, you might run for your security blanket again???

Plus, MAN thinks that if HE can't figure out galactic space travel, what other civilization could? We think that there can be NO OTHER Alien LIFE out there more advanced than us (because of "Evolution"). WE have "advanced" at a particular rate and so, WHO could advance quicker than us (in science). Let me remind THOSE PEOPLE that it was OUR Scientific Community that ONLY A FEW HUNDRED YEARS AGO thought that the world was flat and that WE were the CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE (which, that in of itself, shows man's egotistical and ignorant nature). When one looks at a map/diagram of SPACE and you see all the planets that revolve around our single sun and then, ALL THE STARS (other suns AND SOLAR SYSTEMS) that are within one single arm of the Milky Way Galaxy (which contains several, several arms) AND THEN, beyond THAT there are hundreds and thousands of VISIBLE... ENTIRE GALAXIES with their own arms and bookoo Solar Systems. The odds of us being alone (scoffs: the product of a "freak accident") are slim to none. But, AGAIN, we figure "If WE can't do it, who else could?" We are such an arrogant species that sometimes it just makes me want to puke. When is the Scientific Community going to WAKE UP? Well,... I for one won't be holding MY BREATH.

Automobiles use headlights, reflectors, and side markers for identification purposes at night. Airplanes and boats use the same types of lighting a well. Is it possible, just possible, that UFOs use lights in the same way? If there is more than one craft around, wouldn't they use lights for safety and identification just as our terran forms of travel do? Once you have provided explanations for most everything and some element of mystery still exists, perhaps we should accept the unexplained.

We think we know it all, but it becomes clear we don't when a new animal species is discovered. Most of us probably don't know this happens. In the Great Smokey Mountains, balls of light are frequently seen floating from deep in a valley up into the air. One night, a friend and I went to watch them. One night - and only one night- a plasma like object hoovered over our car. It was gaseous looking, filled with the color of fire. The amoeba like thing was larger than the car. It split in two; merged into one; and then quickly flew away. What was it? I don't know. It was not an hallucination.

While researching a collection of newpapers and their coverage of the American Civil War, I came upon a story recounting the sighting of multiple "balls of light" that had drifted across the sky at that time in full view of the army. A drawing accompanied the article, and it was made clear that these were not natural phenomena; rather, they appeared to be operated by intelligent creatures. This article was just one of several that recounted flying objects in the mid nineteenth century.

Not sure that this line of reasoning adequately explains why many times those who separately witness "something" end up sketching the same image without first discussing the event. I have had one unexplained event in 50+ years of my existence. About 5 years ago, My husband, 14-year old son and I were driving home on a suburban road in a highly residential area (but still considered to be somewhat rural) We heard a sound that we thought was a commercial jet flying/gliding low and we both said something to the effect that the plane was too low (from the sound) and if they were trying to land, there was nothing but trees and hills ahead of them. We both have healthcare backgrounds and have participated in disaster drills and so we prepared to follow the plane and provide first-responder aid. As we looked up, we could not make out the profile of an airplane. Keeping his eyes more on the road than the sky, my husband more as an exclamation than a question, 'what the hell is that?'. Whatever went overhead blocked out the stars and reflected light from commercial areas nearby. As the darkness moved overhead, we could see lights and the object moved over us at a relativly slow rate. I could only guess this thing was low and at least as big as the area covered by acouple of football fields. Being in the dark, but sensing something huge, I would have said it was a mile long, and that was my impression at the time, but for purposes of relating this experience, I will scale back and use the ball field as a reference point. We drove in the direction of the object, still fearing that a commercial jet was about to crash. The object passed overhead, seemingly just above the trees, but no crash and the object cruised on. We agreed to not describe anything until we could get home and sketch whatever we could recall about the lights and write down any other impressions we had when this thing went over. We could not give a shape to the object but agreed that it moved overhead slowly and had to have been huge because it took so long to pass over. Our desriptions of the lights were nearly the same. Now I could grant that our impressions of the lights could have been from our common frame of reference, but did we all experience the same auditory and visual hallucination?

I have seen a UFO. In fact, the entire baseball team I was playing with saw the UFO. It wasn't just a bright light and an imagination gone wild. The entire team stood in awe as it slowly approached and glided above us. It was a crystal clear evening, approx 5:30 in late summer. Because we had never seen one we couldn't guess its actual size but because of its proximity to trees and other objects we could discern that it was very large. I have heard the reports regarding the one in Texas and people stating that it is a mile long, this can't be the case in the one we saw. I lived approx. 20 miles from PHL and was very familiar with the landing patterns and different aircraft. (My father is a pilot and at that time in counter-intelligence for the military) After the UFO flew over and we all started to look at each other for answers and question what we had just seen - it came back over us, very slowly. I had never seen nor heard of UFO's prior to this. Now after this second pass, we were terrified and started running to my parents home which was only about 50 yards away. My mother was at the kitchen window while doing the dishes and said she'll never forget us all running and yelling for her to come and look at what we were seeing. She came out to be with us and also saw the object. It was still overhead and seemed lower at that point. We actually ran and tried to keep up with it - it turned from a course of NE to W and then bolted out of sight. It was huge and as much as I hate to say it, it was disk shaped and silver blue in color. It had lights (very bright fluorescent blue/white) on the bottom. The thing that caught my attention the most was that it was absolutely silent. Not even a sound. My father, to this day, thinks all of us saw a weather balloon, or a govn. experimental aircarft, or just anything else but what it was. My father is a brilliant and learned man but we saw what we saw. I sometimes wish I hadn't had this experience. I went on to read everything I could get my hands on. It definitely puts a different spin on how you perceive yourself or humankind relative to the great unknown - or should I say the great unacknowledged.

What individuals need to understand is, that there are other windows that can be opened around us. Jesus Christ appeared and disappeared at will and Walked thru walls . He went into another secter of the elemints.

When these Crafts enter our system they become Tangable, Physical. When this happenes they become subject to the Laws of our surroundings and can be seen at that time. But they can also slip back into their sectot at any given moment and dissapeared in thin air. They are real and they are supernatural in nature.

This seems to be nothing more than a "piece" to try to rationalize away true sightings. WHen people cannot
explain things they, (the media and Government) try to explain them away---trying to keep the public off
balance of the REALITY of UFO's. They are here, and have been for decades or even centuries. The
just need to come absoltely clean on this. Just because some right wing religous fanatics have a very
narrow interpretion of the bible and the universe, they think civilization will crumble if full disclosure is
made to the public. It Time for all narrow minded people to wake up and get a "clue."
