Many Hillary supporters constantly assert that the millions of us who oppose her do so because she is a woman. Perhaps some do, but millions of us oppose Hillary because she is unfit to rule!
If she were not her sham husband's sham wife, and if she were not campaigning after seven years of idiocy and disaster under President Bush-Cheney, then she would never have a chance at the presidency. In fact, her similarities to the worst characteristics of President Bush-Cheney are remarkable similar.

Like Bush-Cheney, Hillary is the same nasty, polarizing, and divisive person, to the citizens at large as well as to non-Democrats, and even to innumerable Democrats.

Like Bush-Cheney, Hillary has a proven record of secrecy, lies, and prevarication. Such deceit is natural to their characters, stemming from their constant need to put personal/partisan needs above all else, certainly above the needs of America.

Like Bush-Cheney, Hillary is totally in the pockets of Corporate America, lobbyists, and special interest groups, more than any other candidate.

Like Bush-Cheney, Hillary has an unethical character [see the above two points] that is not trustworthy. Even those who support her have shown this in poll after poll.

Like Bush-Cheney, Hillary [and Bill] have consistently shown an imperious disregard for the law, never concerned about bending it, reinterpreting it, or disregarding it altogether if it does not suit their own personal needs.

Like Bush-Cheney, Hillary [like Giuliani] uses the despicable ???politics of fear??? in attempting to gain support from the American voters.

Like Bush-Cheney, Hillary???s use of a planted audience and controlled questions from selected questioners in public appearances makes a farce of honest reporting and the democratic ???conversation??? she said her campaign [as he said his presidency] would be about.

Hillary???s claim of "experience" is even phonier than she is. Actually, there is little "job training" available for killer job of being president. The most crucial of qualifications are the quality of one's intelligence [beyond mere political cunning] and the quality of one's character [dare I even mention the fuddy-duddy old-fashioned word ???virtue????]. Hillary???s White House days as first lady were not a qualifying experience to be president. For those who can remember, and think, they were eight years of proof for why she should not be.

And it is bizarrely amusing that she can even mention the word ???change??? in reference to herself. Hillary is, above all, the same old same, samer older.

Who is Hillary Clinon? A Washington insider. A loyal lobbyist lover. A voter for the Iraq War. Basically a liar! She and Bill will say what it takes to get the nomination. They are trying to distort Barack Obama's record and stances on issues. All the while lieing about what she as accomlished. The records from her time as first lady remain sealed in the Clinton library. Why? What are they hiding? I would love to make claims about what I have done but know one can fnd out if it is true bcause the records are sealed. This is NOT what I want in a president. It is sneaky and underhanded.

Also Democrats have had record turn-outs in voting so far this year. Unfortunatly, the Clinons are fracturing th party. The keep attacking Barack, trying to bring him down, instead of trying to win with ideas. This is very dangerous, because Obama has deep support in the Democratic party.
Basically what I am saying is because of the way the Clintons have ran their campain, I (and many other hard-core Democratic Obama supporters) will NEVER vote for Hillary even if she is our nominee!

BARACK OBAMA is the only one who can UNITE THE DEMORATIC PARTY!!!!!!

I am very glad to see Sen. Kennedy and Rep. Emanuel taking principled stands against the Clintons' race-coding and shabbiness. It galls to see Hillary Clinton invoke the best traditions of the Democratic Party on human rights when as late as two years ago she said she supported torture (see www.politico.com/news/stories/0907/6050.html ). For me, a candidate who supported torture just two years ago is as unaccepteable as a candidate who supported racial segregation two years ago. Hillary was the only Democratic presidential contender who did not reject torture from the start.

Leading Democrats To Bill Clinton: Pipe Down

Prominent Democrats are upset with the aggressive role that Bill Clinton is playing in the 2008 campaign, a role they believe is inappropriate for a former president and the titular head of the Democratic Party. In recent weeks, Sen. Edward Kennedy and Rep. Rahm Emanuel, both currently neutral in the Democratic contest, have told their old friend heatedly on the phone that he needs to change his tone and stop attacking Sen. Barack Obama, according to two sources familiar with the conversations who asked for anonymity because of their sensitive nature. Clinton, Kennedy and Emanuel all declined to comment.

    I second that emotion ...

Could the writer at least have ATTEMPTED some impartiality?
You can judge Obama's ability to be president on his campaign? That's scary.
Hillary's refusal to say whether Obama is prepared to be president has struck a nerve???? Oh, really? When exactly is she supposed to be campaigning on behalf of Obama?
This op-ed lacks any hint of integrity. Sad, and sadly idiotic.

Comment: Racism has been institutionalized on both sides of the political spectrum since this country was founded. It has evolved into a "don't ask don't tell policy". You can laugh with your friends but don't get caught in public expressing your true racist feelings. The Latino vote is the x factor in this election and is going to be Jebb BUsh's bread and butter in four years. Racial tensions are high between latino's and blacks, however they share the same economic concerns. Both Hispanics and Blacks prospered in the ninety's.Think where African AMericans were before Clinton. Vernon Jordon is a prime example of why African Americans like Bill Clinton. African Americans fought for civil rights but are the least to benefit from it, instead white women have benefited the most from LINDeN JOHNSON"S CIVIL RIGHTS LEGISLATION/ Martin Luther was the Architect that penetrated Washington and drafted modern civil rights legislation long before it was enacted.. It was Martin Luther's relationship with Bobby Kennedy and JFK that allowed Civil Rights to become a reality. THe first civil rights legislation was actually written in the nineteen thirty's but that is a whole other story.

Eleanor Clift, you disappoint. PRESIDENT John F. Kennedy!!! How could you minimalize him? And that would be FORMER president Bill Clinton, who disgraced this nation internationally and who continues to be exactly who he is, with his disgraceful, false, discrediting mouth attacking Senator Obama!!! As for Mrs. Clinton, silence is complicity, re: Robert Johnson. Only one Democratic candidate clearly speaks for national concerns, not personal: Presidential candidate Barack Obama!!!

nvs9940, Are you part of the downsyndrome society? If you are not, then you have no execuse for your condition. I suggest You join the circus and tell stories with the clowns. I am sure you will get a BIG LAUGH from the audience because your stories are really funny. Anyone with a circus application please forward it to nvs9940.

So, it is a fact that White Women have benefited the most from civil rights legislation and hold high ranking positions throughtout American society. Hillary Clinton represents a faction of the civil rights movement and Obama another. Hillary's faction has proven to be stronger. And ironically her faction is the one that benefited the most from civil rights. . Obama's x factor is not race but unity. What brings unity, economic success for the average JOE.

There is only one unifying issue in this country and that is the ECONOMY, mONEY, DOLLARS, and that is why women with children are coming out in record numbers to support Hillary. They believe that Hillary can directly address their soccer mom concerns, education, health care and the economy.
Obama can counter this by proposing sweeping middle class tax cuts. Hillary Clinton has not been specific on this issue. If the MIDDLE CLASS FEELS THAT OBAMA can actually imPlement a middle class revolution then race will no longer be a factor and Obama will be able to cross over and take a chunk of the white vote. THis revolution would include dealing with outsourcing, programs for the middle class that show them how to save, invest, plan and avioid debt. These subjects are not taught in school.WHY?

The middle class has been the victim of corporate indoctrination. Stay StuPid. They do not want you to double your money they want you to double their money. Every middle class family should be able to do compound interest problems in their heads. It can be learned in grade two. It is a very useful skill to have because it gives you a lightning fast benchmark to determine how good (or not so good) a potential investment is likely to be.
The rule says that to find the number of years required to double your money at a given interest rate, you just divide the interest rate into 72. For example, if you want to know how long it will take to double your money at eight percent interest, divide 8 into 72 and get 9 years. If the Middle Class can make better financial decisions it would have a profound affect on the economy.
The rule A stronger middle class will make the rich richer in the long run and helP uPlift the Poor.

    oops pushed post without finishing..

Obama's campaign is strong on finance and he "didn't" have to go corporate. Now not only is that a novelty but uptil Obama is was unheard of even by the most saavy, political family. This man seems to be able to do a lot of things no seasoned policitician can do, so if we want real change and teal unity, I think Obama is the only who CAN do it.

Geez Anne: YOU sound like the the one hung-up upon your own abilities. Pretty slick the way that you know all about the private life of the Clintons. It's a free country. Support your candidate. But remember this: If it was Hillary coming up with all of this money from nowhere, and running such a strong campaign, you'd more than likely be talking about how "shifty" she is, and that she ought to be investigated.
And Mary: You sure fired off that "Because you're not black" thing in a hurry. I sure hope that you're American enough to vote for what you deem is the best for our country. - Not your favorite color. Didn't all the great Civil Rights activists try to change people with that sort of mentality? Or does only one color matter?

  • Posted By: AnneWeb @ 01/20/2008 3:00:37 PM

Mary, you presume I'm not a black woman. I said I was a woman. I didn't say white or or black or whom I supported, so you even presumed that I didn't support Obama. Which I do and not because he's black, but because of what he represents. And for those who don't think he represents anything because of lack of experience, let me say just one thing: He can't be all that wet behind the ears because he managed to run a well oiled campaign, strong on

The media wants to sell papers and state that the Democrats are divided. Candidly, all Democrats will get together after we figure out whom will be our nominee and for the Good of our Country, we will whole-heartedly support the Democratic Nominee. We may fight for who we want now, but the bottom line is that we are family and we will kiss and make up at the Convention for the good of the Party and Country. We need positive change.

The history that needs to be hurried is the election of a populist president who represents the interests of the little people. Of course that means overcoming the power and influence of big money interests and the elites, including msm (mediocre stream media).

Americ wake up ! Your country is at war and your economy is on the brink of recession . Those are the two main problems that neede d to be address . Are you people more for style than substance ? You just have too much of reality TV, Paris, Brittney, Oprah and Barrack ! As Bill Clinton said it is the economy stupid . You might hate the Clintons but they do good for the country .

Hillary cannot deliver what she promises. She had already 35 years to do it and was not able to accomplish it. Why will we believe she will do it as a president? Only someone who is part of a minority, can understand and heal the needs of the minorities. This is like an old boss that retains his/her position and does not want to leave room for the younger generation to take his or her place.

    • Posted By: laurie24 @ 01/18/2008 11:31:25 PM

Alma: you are exactly right. Everytime I hear Hillary claim 35 years of experience I look to see what has she really done. and other than railing speeches about Republicans and polarizing the nation I can't figure out what her experience is.

Look what 20 years of Clintons and Bushes have given us!

We shouldn't make the mistake of putting another one from either family in the White House again!

And although I'd love to see a woman in the White House, Hillary is not the one!

We have several female governors who will be ready next time around/so there's no need to feel like we have to hold our nose and vote for Hillary.

I am a woman and wish that woman would stop and think. Voting for a woman just because she is a woman can be dangerous and in this case is. HIllary in the white house will be worse than Bill. With Bill his foibles were not the kind that should have impacted his Presidency, they were personal issues. Hillary's foibles are far worse in that she is of the same make up as W. She is arrogant, beligerant, self centered, self serving and can not look beyond what she wants. She is even more autocratic and dictatorial than Bush. She will be just as, if not more, divisive than W could imagine being. As a woman and a mother, reading her child like self centered behavior is easy. Women need to look beyond the excitement of having a woman in office to their intuitive natures and see her for what she is. This country will be worse off. Any woman who would stay with a man who cheated on her that many times does so for selfish reasons and those reasons have nothing to do with her child, they have to do with strictly self needs. Money and power. Her motivator. What she taught her daughter and other women is a BAD example. Let your husband have 12 year affairs, let your husband humiliate you and your children over and over and over and over again. Marriage means nothing, family means nothing. Let him do it so long as sticking with him means your greed and hunger for power is fulfilled. I don't admire her for trying to teach women and children that men can treat you like dirt over and over and over again. Women want equality, but are voting for a selfish baby who set us back decades in her example.
