.What an appalling indictment of this sad excuse for a leader of men, a President of our poor Republic. The story appears to be done with some sympathy for the man if not the peoples he has destroyed, the nation that is in shambles, a world facing its greatest crisis with opposition rather than leadership from America.

It is equally appalling that so many GOP leaders have been equally poor enablers of this corruption. The failure of the news media, the rise of Fox propaganda outlets, the implementation of American Fascism have flowed from George, adding to the misery of America and the world. Of course the acceptance by George of the Zionist propaganda and his exuberant support of their illegal, immoral, and deadly practices both in their ???nation???, within the ???occupied??? territories, and especially their invasions of neighboring states by the Zionist Jews in Palestine have made a mockery of George???s grandiose schemes.

It is a shameful indictment of the peoples of America that such a shallow, ill-prepared, and incompetent man could be elected and reelected to be our leader. It continues to be an indictment of the once respectable Republican party that the current crop of aspirants are no better than George in more than one case are much worse!

I doubt there was anyone more surprised about Dubya becoming President than his mother, father and others who know him. And when you discuss different approaches to international relations, I doubt Dubya would understand the basic principles of any one approach.

This article makes Bush the fall guy but he had help. The time line of events does not square with other reports. The administration was interested in regime change in Iraq ten days into office in 2001 according to Paul O'Neill and the neo-cons that served as Bush advisors and filled important offices in his administration presented a position paper to the Israeli government in 1996. Israeli supporters played a greater role in our invasion of Iraq than we know..

I think the presidency of GWB will go down in history as a puzzlement, as much for his actions as for those of the American people. That he was elected one time was a fluke at best. But after what was clearly a mismanaged and manipulative agenda he was elected a second time is nothing less than a global embarassment. While the rest of the world could clearly see the lies and misrepresentaion, too many Americans could only see the mirage of powerful rhetoric inflated with hot air. We as a nation have no one to blame but ourselves.

GWB should have been impeached a long time ago. He's an arrogant baby who has thrown one to many tantrums! I'm still amazed (and embarrased) that he got the votes in '04. It was then that we had a chance to redeem ourselves in the eyes of the world and those who voted for GW blew it. What were they thinking?

NEWSWEEK, the hacks who put a frontpage "news" piece about Bush living in a bubble. YOU people are the liberal hacks living in a UN, negotiations to no end, liberal, secular, Democrat aligned, elitist snobs living in a bubble.

This is typical NEWSREEK dishonesty. The only acceptable lies, sorry "editorial errors," are ones told about the U.S. military (phony flushed Koran story) or about Republicans like Bush.

The info on the hit vs. Bush I is now being challenged by WHO?? Name one person NEWSWEEK or yank it fromthe story.

    from the story

Who has cast doubt on the plot against Bush Sr.? Noone that I know of. Typical NEWSWEEK lies in which a lie is ok if it's about a Republican.

garbage from the first paragraph, the ony people who "doubt" Saddam's attempt to kill Bush Sr. are "9/11 was in inside job" types. that assassination plot is VERY WELL established fact.

Don't kid yourself - Bush the elder knows where all the bodies are buried, because he buried most of them. 50 years from now, when we are all dead and everything gets declassified, we will see that Nixon's former CIA director and Regean's vice president - and I can't think of a more damning resume - was running his own shadow government.

And if you want to understand what is wrong with Bush the Younger, it is called dry drunk syndrome - he has the same distorted and dysfunctional thought patterns as any drunk, just without the drink. (although if the tabloids are to be believed, he continues to drink). Read http://counterpunch.org/wormer1011.html, entitled "Addiction, Brain Damage and the President."

Between Bush's lack of treatment for his alcohol addiction, and Clinton's lack of treament for his sex addiction, we've had almost 16 straight years of untreated addicts in the white house.

Any wonder why our country is in such bad shape?
